TV Asahi has begun streaming a new Kyoryuger preview video featuring Kyoryu Violet and his partner mecha Plezuon! The video features Plezuon in vehicle mode and his robot mode PlezOh and Shigeru Chibas' character Dr. Ulshade AKA Kyoryu Violet! Look for the pair to debut this July!

That zord design is so cool.

I dunno, the legs look huge in comparison to the underdeveloped torso, the shoulder pads look like vases and it's got a traffic cone for a helmet. I still dug it when Gold's mecha was evil and had a sweet cape, shame they got rid of that.

I still think that this zord (in both formations) wasn't very well thought out. The "plesiosaur" looks more more like a spaceship than a dinosaur, and the mecha mode has too much empty space and lacks detail. I also don't like the way that it breaks the combination pattern, and can only combine with one aux zord at a time.

Not to mention, with the quality of the clips on Gabutyra, this combination will only ensure that every other clip is broken by the time the series is over.

very odd design but it looks cool and i'll grab one. my gabutyra hasnt broken so i may forgo the combination after the first time i mess with it. I kind of prefer my mecha make use of all the smaller zords rather than a massive combination and 4-5 zords on their own

But it is a spaceship..... That's the whole point. It's name literally translates to Rocket Transformation Plezuon. And since Dr Ulshade is a scientist he probably built the container for Pelzuons spirit to inhabit and wanted to make it a rocket. It makes perfect sense, it was never supposed to be just a normal dino. I think this thing looks absolutely glorious and I can't wait to put this bad boy together with Gabutyra.

Which on the topic of the "weak clips" if people would do it properly I promise they don't break. You just have to be careful. There are 4 clips used when pegging something to Gabutyras' back, you have to snap in and unsnap all of them simultaneously. You can't do half and half but it seems people keep missing this. When you unsnap one set at a time it puts all the pressure on the other set and they break.

Aren't these toys intended for intense children play?
This isn't breaking a Figuart because you're handling it too roughly. This is a toy meant for the 2-12 age range. An adult collector should expect some level of endurance, don't you think?

I like that Dr.Ulshade kinda looks like Robert Downey Jr.

And I expect collectors to have some degree of control while transforming these things as well. It's way too easily breakable for children, completely. But I think as adults we can be careful enough to prevent breakage.

Sorry, but I don't think that a $90 mecha should be so fragile that you have to surgically remove the parts. The only way to prevent breakage with gabutyra is to leave him in the box.

Love the robo design. To be honest I expect a cluster**** robo.

Isn't that the only way? (and the reason I think modern sentai mech sections are rubbish - except Go-Busters, I really want an Ace toy.)

while your point is valid, it still stands that has a adult or even teeenager what ever the case may be. You should be a little more capable to handle a child brick toy with out breaking it. I know the blame for weak taps can and should be placed with the manufacturer, but that dose not mean you can man handle and when it dose finnaly give out you get mad and blame the toy.

I didn't know I needed a Rocket Plesiosaur until today.

Well for the record, mine didn't break, but I seem to be in the minority. I seriously doubt any of them were "manhandling" their figures...many of these people had Kyoryujin on display and had never touched it until the first time they tried to connect Ptergordon and the break happened. Even if they didn't line up the pegs and connect them all perfectly at exactly the same time, the fact still remains that this is a toy that's meant to be played with by small children and it doesn't even hold up for collectors who want to display it on their shelves. Its for that reason that I sold mine and decided to wait for whatever the BoA release happens to be.

You think the BOA release will be better? You must like less functionality, inaccurate transformations, no electronics, and less paint apps :p

But look I get it, the simple fact is that these toys are meant for children to play with and do whatever. In that regard it's crazy that it's so easily broken. But as I've stated previously, as collectors we handle stuff with quite a bit more care than a child does. Using that kind of caution and care, especially already knowing that the issue exists, there really shouldn't be an issue. Mine hasn't broken yet either, because I know a problem exists and I've taken the steps to connect and remove it properly. It's like a bandaid, just do it all at once instead of trying to rock one set out first.

Or be careful with him. I just take extra care on the problem clips and I have never had a problem with connecting and disconnecting him to Pteragordon.

I actually don't think they'll gut the electronics this time around.
It's not like Gabutyra's entire body is designed solely to accommodate them or anything :p

Mogyudaioh says, "Look at me, now look at your American version." (ShinkenOh, Kyoryu Origami, Kabuto Origami, Kajiki Origami, Tora Origami, Daigoyou… basically, all of the Shinkenger mecha convey the same sentiment).

I really like PlezOh's robot mode. He looks fantastic!

Oh, no, I have no doubt that the BoA release will suffer major differences, but I'd rather spend $30 for a subpar model than $90 for a broken BoJ version.

That being said, I think BoA is on the road to improving the quality of their products. The new Gosei morpher is VERY comparable to the Tensouder (compare the Samurai morpher to the Shodophone). I think that by the time Kyoryuger is adapted to PR that (hopefully) the megazords will have seen the same increase in quality.

Let's hope that this wish comes true. Personally I'd love to own a Megazord again and hey, having a giant robot that looks like a robot and not a weird metal statue is always a plus in my book.
