Okay, Go-Busters fans and haters, we got a Returns movie that may surprise you. I don't want to go into to much detail because I don't want to spoil it. It's basically what if Super Sentai did a Zanborgar style movie. Except unlike Zanborgar you can actually watch the original to really understand the parody being made. It's all kinds of great. I have not laughed this hard in a long time.

PS This takes place on New Years eve, a week Go-Busters did not air an episode, making it unofficially episode 44.5.

This is definitely the best sentai returns film, and for me personally one of the greatest general sentai films ever. Absolutely brilliant. It was fun, tried a ton of new (and old) things, and had tons of personality.

Getting transported to a parallel world by God? Check.
Incredibly over the top classic back stories? Check.
Hilarious new role call? Check
New members who barely appear? Check
Making a mockery of generic sentai story lines in the most brilliant way possible? Check!
BEST THEME SONG EVER?! CHECK!

Damn I have missed Go-Busters, and it's so good to see them again, this film is by far one of their best appearances. I absolutely love the direction they went with this. The episode intro & outros are a great touch and add to the idea that they have a "year long" battle over the course of this film. You know what? I'd kill to see a year long version of Go-Busters done in this style. It'd be a great parody, not Akibaranger levels of incredible mind you, but still insanely fun to watch. Green Hippopotamus got to be the dreamy 6th and while I wish we got to see a role call with him and Black Puma it was hilarious to see him go out kinda like Dragon Ranger :lol And on the topic of Black Puuuuuuuuuuuma. !!!! He did exactly what I wanted to see Kuroki do in the series, become a Buster and pilot Li-Oh! :D

i am not a massive fan of Go buster i followed it so i could keep up to date on stuff but i did find it boaring and that i this was the only thing i enjoyed out off all of GB

I think in amongst all the craziness going on in this film my favourite thing was just the way J went along with it all. Especially when he was running between the roll calls at the end :lol

Loved it :lol. Would've loved AR Yoko and AR Hiromu to have acted a bit lovey dovey to freak Yoko and Hiromu out at the end though, you know, ship tease a bit more :lol

I loved how Nick was just utterly confused as to how and why J knew exactly what to do with the new Busters :lol

J. No matter what reality, he just does what he does best. Green Hippo is awesome, Enter/God is awesome, and AR Hiromu, Ryuji, Yoko and Jin are epic. Also, the ending, especially the role calls. What the hell was that thing, though?

Bets that someone from Saban is going to see this, and try to adapt Go-busters like it, instead of keeping the dark tone?

I like to think that the monster they were fighting was supposed to be Satan or something close to him.

I just assumed it was the last Warstar or something. Oh well, because if we have God looking like Enter, we can have Satan being beaten by two teams of Sentai, even if it takes 200 to take out an alien invasion. So yeah, Satan.

The monster's name is Azazel. In most religions and mythologies that the name appears in, he's associated with the devil or hell in some way. In Hebrew, Azazel is the name of scapegoat character (which is probably where DC got the name). I'm not the best to ask since Azazel mostly appears in Hebrew, which I'm not the best with. In the context of this being part of Japanese pop culture, it's probably just assumed he's a minion of a nondescript devil.

I really enjoyed this movie which was not what I was expecting. I can never get tired of J's antics, makes me really wish they would just release the rest of the Go-Busters team. This movie also makes me want to get the rest of the figures that have already been released.

J is my favorite ranger and if Saban gets his character right in 2015 then I could forgive every thing he has done, even two years of samurai, Robo Knight and only 20 returning characters for 2014.
The movie was just epic and since it was before the end then it makes sense Jin is still there
All and all Glad I found it randomly on YouTube today :)

Out of all the greatest VS films out there this one is right at the top with Goseiger VS Shinkenger. It was just an excellent play on how generic sentai came be sometimes and it illustrates just how original and great Go-Buster was. Damn I miss that show.

I'm a little worried about how Kyoryuger VS Go-Buster will be though. The concepts of the 2 teams don't seem to sink up very well but we'll see.

Another problem is that we have a dead Gobuster on our hands.

I could see the Debos using some weird scheme to collect Jin's Data, using the help of the almost assuredly resurrected Enter. They rebuild him for evil, yada yada, King hammers friendship into Jin. Wham bam he's good again time for a 15 ranger curb stomping.

Finally got around to seeing this today. Had a blast watching it.

I totally missed this one, just happened to discover by chance that TV-Nihon had a sub of it yesterday.
That was incredibly fun ! It gets a bit long to put the story on tracks, but when the affectionate parody starts it gets really good.
J being J, running from one squad to another for the choregraphy... J.

I still think that Go-Busters Vs Go-Busters is possibly my favorite of the VS movies. It's just so good and very appropriately Go-Busters-ish.

Yeah, that was absolutely amazing and thoroughly entertaining. I need to watch that again soon.
