SDCC 2013 Preview - 20th Anniversary Golden Legacy Morpher
2 Attachment(s)
San Diego Comic Con 2013 is only a little over a week away from the time of this post, and TokuNation.com will be there from Day 1 giving you full coverage of everything Tokusatsu related - from Power Rangers to Bandai to Bluefin Tamashii to Megablocks to more!
The most anticipated and demanded item is finally available - but only as a SDCC exclusive (for now). Released earlier this year, the 20th Anniversary Legacy Power Morpher gave us the morphing buckler from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in diecast metal along with a chrome finish. Lights and sounds gave us the classic communicator beep, and the classic theme song. This year at San Diego Comic Con, you will have a chance to get one of a 1000 limited edition 24K Gold Plated Green and White Mighty Morphin Power Ranger Legacy Morpher! The 6th Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers had the same "buckler" as the others, but it was gold and he obviously has his own coin (the White Ranger, who came from the Super Sentai Dairanger, was even given his own unique coin). The Dragon Coin and White Tiger Coin come with this Golden Legacy Morpher. This is single-handedly the most wanted 20th Anniversary Mighty Morphin Power Rangers toy this year. We'll be in line to get ours - and if we're lucky, a couple more to give to you! Check out the pictures (packaging and a display picture) by clicking on the title bar. Don't forget - TokuNation.com will be in attendance at San Diego Comic Con 2013 and on the floor before anyone else! We will be updating LIVE from the event - don't miss our coverage!! Follow us @TokuNation on Twitter and also be sure to "Like" our Facebook page so you don't miss a single thing! We'll be broadcasting live on Twitter, with pictures, information, and video! See you at the con! |
Note: Just throwing it out there because I'm still averaging a couple PM's a day ... I cannot pick something up for someone at the show. I'm going there to cover MANY things, not just Tokusatsu stuff, and because of that, my availability to stand in lines is very, very minimal. I hope you guys understand - if I do manage to pick up anything "extra", it will be going as give-aways/contests for the site, where EVERYONE will have an EQUAL chance to win.
I just wanted to try and clear that up :) |

looks great. Too bad I'm not likely to ever see one in person.
|
i just wished they would give us a frickin price, because I have a friend that might be able to snag one for me, but i just want to know how much its gonna cost
|
Wow nice! Hopefully I can track on down at a decent price in the after market.

Looks great, but price and circumstances of its release mean I'll probably never own one. Oh well!
|
I very much want this. Not Just beccause i'm a Tommy fan but because i want the last 2 coins. I hope this comes to stores one day soon.
|
I can't even afford a regular one with the kind of prices they go for online so I have no hope to own this. :(

You know, it makes me laugh that people keep talking about "extras". Bandai's made a high-cost, limited to 1000 piece item that's going to draw every fanboy(and quite a few fangirls, and more than a few scalpers) out of the woodwork. There's going to be more than 100,000 people there over the course of the weekend, all clawing for something that less than 1% of them will be able to get their hands on. If Bandai isn't limiting it to 1 per customer, I will be shocked, because they know, they KNOW this isn't going to last the whole show.

I'm ready to throw money at one, but I Really would like to know how much this is going to cost first. |
Have they confirmed prices for any of the ranger exclusives?

None of Bandai's offerings, or Bluefin's, are popping up on Top 10 lists for "general toy forums". Everyone wants Marvel, Doctor Who, Hasbro, and Mattel. Sadly I feel the only scalpers will be the ones that already exist in this fandom.
I personally will not scalp or sell any SDCC exclusives. They are for my own collection or for give-always for this site. |
It's really cool, but there is no way I'll be able to get this or feel worth paying scalper prices for it. I'll just have to wait and see if there is a regular release, if not.. oh well. It's mighty cool though.

Odds are Forbidden Planet will be getting her any way, at which point I will order the hell out of her. |

price wise I will still say its 100-200 for it alone.the fact that so many fans want it the demand for those things will triple if not more on the 2nd hand market like ebay.people are already hounding wanting the thing.if people really are nuts for it but dont want to pay the insane prices then they just need to customize it and ur done.
|
I hope they release a version without the 24K Gold at retail. That would make me really happy...
|
The only thing I really want is the MMPR Metallic Green with coin and any and all of the SDCC exclusive PR ACG Cards.
I want two of the Figuarts style Red/Green :3 |

I managed to snag 2 of them. I can see people who were there are already scalping them on ebay for between 300 and 700 dollars. They cost me 100 a piece.
