Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Sixth Division Round 7
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman
Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson
Pink Ranger: Jen Scotts
Green Ranger: Adam Park

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

Another day, another preliminary match. This time we're drawing from the extreme ends of the Ranger spectrum, pitting together one of the first Sixth Rangers and one of the most recent.

Will Jason's return to this tournament turn out as good as his return to the show? Will Antonio... I gotta be honest, I have never seen a single episode with Antonio. I think he fishes or something? Which Ranger will reign supreme?

Antonio is fast swordsman, but the Gold Power Staff could keep him at bay. I think Jason could lightning bolt and fireball Antonio before he could even get in.

Antonio, I know Jason is gonna win this one, but I havent seen Zeo in awhile, and Antonio is the best out of Samurai. So I am going with my personal favorite between the two.

That said, in an actual fight, Jason would probably win, or zords, Pyramidas vs clawzord. :lol

Antonio, he's my favorite Modern Saban era ranger.

Jason.By the time he was Gold,he was already a Red,so he has the battle experience.Also,Gold vs Gold.:D

Antonio is a great swordsman,but Jason has the range and power.

As much as I love JLS, I had to give this one to Antonio.

Jason has the original Gold Power, but he eventually couldn't handle them. Antonio, um.. Gratuitous Spanish?

I'd probably go with Jason, but I don't really care about either of these guys.

I went with Zeo Gold because of costume alone. That and I haven't even seen Samurai.

Antonio. Sorry, I haven't seen much of zeo so I'm not sure how Jason fairs there but from what I have seen Jason always seemed to be out of his environment. Not too mention, I have to give Antonio credit for being his own character instead of just a "not Shinken Gold". He built his own damn Morpher from scraps for crying out loud!

This was a difficult decision for me personally. But here's how it broke down in my head..

Antonio wins. Aside from the only Samurai Ranger worthy of being in this contest, Antonio just has more going for him. I'm not saying the fight would be one handed. Not by any means. But Antonio would win this.

Aside from the super speed he also has the Lantern Zord, and is skilled with hit and run attacks. While Jason has always been the stand there and attack front on kind-of Power Ranger. Antonio would just wear him down and strike while he was tired. In my opinion.

Golden!

Given Jason's wealth of experience and ridiculous muscles, I think he could easily take this one.

I will use this reasoning to justify my vote for Antonio. I also fixed your post.

Lauren did deserve a place here. I know they followed the script of Shinkenger, but I wish she was in more episodes.

Jason. I do love you Antonio, but Zeo powers > pretty much everything else.

And even without the powers, Jason is just tougher and far more experienced.

That might be true, but Jason was given his power. Anontio created his, from scratch, without help from anyone. So jason might have experience but Antonio would be an expert in using the Gold goodness. And let's not forget the Light Zord, his speed.

Like I said before this fight wouldn't be completely one sided. I just think Antonio is the one that wins.

Well, the man who created Basketball was actually one of the worst coaches at the sport.

Just because you invented something doesn't mean you're the best at using it.
Meanwhile, Jason was kicking ass with a set of powers that's specifically tailored to be used by 3 people simultaneously.

The light zord did next to nothing in Samurai, so I don't really consider that an advantage.

Antonio is skilled yes, but Jason is just an all-around better fighter.

Well, there's been a lot of good talk about how awesome Antonio is in this thread and why he should move on. Unfortunately very little of it translated into votes and Jason moves on.
