Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Sixth Division Round 8
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman
Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson
Pink Ranger: Jen Scotts
Green Ranger: Adam Park

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

Phantom ranger takes this through the powers of invisibility and not being the result of poor budget planning.

Can you imagine is the Phantom ranger somehow ends up winning this whole thing?

Wow two Rangers I do not give a flying fuck about. One was a reference to an awesome movie the other was a time traveller who had no purpose in his own series.

Phantom it is.

Phantom Ranger.

He's pretty awesome. Hell, he was able to put the moves on Cassie by doing nothing.
Also, his Power Ruby was able to power an entire Megazord.

Adding invisibility and an unresolved backstory, I'm sure he could handle the Omega Ranger.

Seeing his head on Gokai Silver's body would be the funniest thing ever.

So, if Sam won, would we use the ball of light or his human appearance that appeared for a 10th of a second during the finale?

I really dont see any of these two winning it all,but out of both of them I'd have to go with Phantom.Just a better story and stronger character.

Now we've got to make Sam win just for the sake of seeing that funny image.

Cassie would've fallen in love with a toaster in a cape if you told her it was myserious. Yes, I am calling her loose.

Phantom Ranger did absolutely nothing but get his ass kicked, give away Zords, and be all "ooo you dun know whos I ams...."

Meanwhile Sam actually did something meaningful.

Phantom Ranger was the man. Points for being a throwaway character from Carranger made into a major player in the US, and that they never revealed an identity for him.

Sam was from the future but didn't tell the Rangers of events to alter and prevent crimes.
I don't care if Mecha-Jesus was revealed to be the Omega Ranger. That misstep makes me refuse to acknowledge anything meaningful he could do, since, by being from the future, the most meaningful thing he could do was prevent the crime from ever happening to begin with.

Phantom Ranger can turn invisible and was proactive in the search for Zordon. Not helped that he appeared for a whopping (And make sure you're sitting down for this) 9 episodes.

Sam couldn't. That's one of the first rules of time travel whatever the genre or mode of leaping through the clock. You can't divulge future events because they might impact that future and change it for the worse. Like if you go back in time and kill Hitler. You end up with someone worse.

And Sam said himself that came back from the future to save them and he couldn't say how. Just that it was the worst day they would ever have.

And how exactly was Phantom Ranger useful? He gave them Zords, alright. And some search for Zordon, how'd that end for him? Oh right. Him getting his ass handed to him by Rita and Lord Zedd along with Blue Centurian who deserves a Rocky vote when he comes up. He did Nothing. Absolutely nothing but Ooooo Myserious.... Ooooo... He doesn't deserve this. I'd vote for Eric over this useless waste of plot.

Time travel is fickle as is. If Time Force could radically alter things with no ramifications, then SPD should, too.

And I'm not saying the Phantom Ranger is the greatest ranger ever.
I'm just saying that he's awesome and I'm always gonna vote for him because why not :p

So, would the Omega Ranger Helmet be used for the Megaforce Silver head or would Ball-of-Light Sam be used if Sam won?

It's highly unlikely, but still.

Let's be honest. This is the round of people who'll lose the next round, I have no illusions about Sam (if he wins this) moving further. And Phantom just plain doesn't deserve to.

Should you really hold any authority on who deserves to win and who doesn't when you admit to voting against anyone In Space on the sole basis that they're from In Space?

That happens to be a voting criteria we should all follow! Genius is always unappreciated in it's time. Sad really.

You know, I have noticed something about you during all the polls for this. You are always trying to bring down the characters that happen to be winning.

That's just a coincidence. The characters I want to win aren't winning :lol

Or are you just wanting to say stuff about the loosing character just because the character is loosing.

Yes I'm sure. I really don't like Phantom Ranger, or Eric. I made my thoughts on Quantam Ranger known looooong before this tournament was even an idea.

Well I don't like a ball of light. Anything good in Omega Ranger was lushed away when he was a freaking ball of light.

What did Sam do of value again?

I'm kinda torn on this. Sam didn't really do all that much but has a decent power set but the Phantom Ranger is still shrouded in mystery.

Will have to give this some further thought.

im failing to understand whats wrong with in space. i think its one of the best if not THE best seasons of power rangers.

There are things I like about In Space.

- Ecliptor
- Andromeda
- It Ended

The sad thing is, I actually found Mack the most bearable out of the rangers :lol

Tokunation has a clause in the rules preventing me from ranting about OO and listing what I don't like. It'd crash the servers.

I have to say Sam as I can't remember what the Phantom Ranger did in Turbo all I remember is he came back in Space

Cassie is one of the better pinks. Yes, Zhane is the lost member of N'Sync but he was likeable.

Thats why it was bad.A robot was the most interesting character.lol
