First Image of Megaforce Rangers Using Gokaiger Mobirates and Keys
 

Thanks to our good friends at RangerCrew.com we have the first actual image of the Power Rangers Megaforce preparing to go in to their "super modes" by using the morphing device from the Super Sentai Gokaiger, known in that series as a Mobirate. You can also see that they have Ranger Keys in the Mobirate, more or less confirmed that's how they will actually transform in to the Super Megaforce Power Rangers.

So the rangers uses cards to transform into the Goseigers, from there they change into Goakaigers, and from there change into past rangers?

I thought we saw them with Mobirates ages ago, in a picture with Gokai Silver?

*insert whining about how stupid making the Goseiger suits turn into the Gokaiger suits*

its just too cluttered, either stick to the goseiger suits or don't ues them anymore, having to go from goseiger to get to gokaiger in a transformation just takes WAY too much time

I'm thinking they'll treat the Gokaiger suits as some kind of super mode. A super mode modeled after pirates, but a super mode nonetheless.

I hope so, but whatever. As long as Jake and Gia continue to be awesome, I don't care what suits they're in.

Not really, I could collect the cards without it.

Which I wasn't going to anyway. The main draw for me was having a morpher that called out Power Rangers names like the Mobirates does. If there's going to be an in-show version of that then I may as well wait for that.

The Gosei Morpher actually is really good. It has just as many functions (or more?) as the Tensoudder. In theory, at least, I wouldn't trust my cards in there at all. I've seen how mine's destroyed the "Try me" card.

I'm doubtful that the SM Mobirates will be as awesome as the Gokaiger one is function or voice-wise, or have such an awesome collectable aspect. The Mobirates and Ranger Keys are just plain awesome, I love mine a lot.

Oh, I'm sure. But if I'm only going to buy one, I'm obviously going to buy the one that's actually used in-show. It doesn't help that the Gosei morpher has only now showed up in the UK either.

I don't expect the SM Morpher to be as good as the Mobirates either really, but I already have that so all I'm looking for is a Power Rangers equivalent to go alongside it. As long as it has team callouts I'll be completely sold on it.

That is the thing that has put me off really, I know we're only half way through Megaforce (when is it supposed to be coming back?) but the internet has already moved on now and Megaforce is left feeling more like a blip, than a true series, so it kinda puts me off bothering to buy any of the toys.

I know in comparison to importing it all or whatever the toys are inexpensive but I like to collect actually characters I like, from series I enjoy, that is why I rarely get complete sets of figuarts or whatever from a series. And Megaforce has yet to give me anything but a thin reason to give a shit. So in turn gives me no reason to collect anything from it.

I hope so. But what bothers me right now is how Saban is going to explain the switch from suits that were a tribute to the original Mighty Morphin' team to pirates.

My guess? He won't.

How were the Goseiger/Megaforce suits tributes to the MMPR/Zyuranger suits? They just coincidently have the same colours and both blacks have an axe and reds have a sword, but they're both extremely common weapons and that the weapons combine into a cannon, but that's common in most SS series in some way or another. That's basically it when it comes to similarities suits and power-wise. Not to mention in the original footage they were angel themed, so there was clearly no intention on SS' part to be setting a tribute up for when got PR to it. I know the set up of high school drama and stereotypically bland characters is a callback to MMPR, but they've confirmed they're keeping that set-up for SMF and has nothing to do with the suits.

I think the better question is how are they going to explain them suddenly becoming completely pirate themed. My money's on it not being a good explanation.

One of the many problems I have with combining seasons. Maybe if Nick wouldn't stretch one season out across two years we wouldn't have this damn problem.

I miss when MMPR's season started in Early Febuary and ended somewhere near December. If that happened we wouldn't have a full season of Samurai, a full season of Goseiger, and a full season of Gokaiger. Not some hybrid mess that looks worse and worse everytime someone shows me something from it!
