S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Black 2.0 & Battle Hopper, Shadowmoon Reissue!

A scan has come out revealing the long rumored Kamen Rider Black 2.0 is happening! along side it seems a reissue of Shadow Moon will be happening as well as a brand new Battle Hopper!

If I am reading the page right they will be coming out in October of this year!

yeah both Black and Battle Hopper are listed as renewal while Shadowmoon is a reissue.

So… Beet Buster and Stag Buster don't get any representation in S.H. Figuarts, but Black and Battle Hopper get two decent toys?

YES! We've been mopping about this for ages. I love my current Black but I'll admit he does look a little aged in comparison to the newer stuff we've been getting which isn't right since he is what many would consider to most "modern" of the Showa Riders in terms of design.

Hope he comes with a few more additional parts.

So anyone know what the major differences are? It seems they beefed him out some, but I can't tell much else.

And despite the fact that I haven't watched Black yet... I did regret passing on Shadowmoon simply for how cool he looks. So why not get the new Black with him?

The waist looks fairly more scaled to match the body. Shoulders aren't too round and look more organic. If I'm interpreting those pictures right I'm guessing he has more "hidden" double jointed elbows with the organic body suit detail over it. Might be the lighting but the silver looks a little more muted than one the first one.

I'd rather have Road Sector though.

I'm really whelmed. The Bluefin guy made it sound like it was going to be nearly an entirely new mold, but I don't see a single difference. Battle Hopper, on the other hand, I'll definitely rebuy because he is in show accurate colors (unless he is like $100).

I have the original Black with no regrets. I will still pick up this 2.0 because it's incredible. And the fact they are releasing Battle Hopper again is a wonderful "up yours" to the people asking $200+ for the original on eBay. The Figuarts one is more expensive than the larger 1/6 scale one! Seriously? Ugh.

Wish Shadow Moon were getting a 2.0, too. Hopefully, RX and Acrobatter will get the same treatment soon, and while we're in the Black/RX series, maybe they could finally give us Roborider with Roboizer and Biorider with Makjabber.

Exactly. If you pay attention to the details it's quite a bit different. And while I've never had a problem why my Black (which I paid 3000 yen for some time back) seeing this thing makes it apparent that this is a definite upgrade.

I know I am and not because I paid 10000Y off Mandarake for BH, but because I paid 100Y for one that did not come with Black's hands to hold the handles. As such, I've been using AkibaRed's gripping hands. I'll probably just sell off the BH I have once I get the brand new one so I can get at least a few dollars back.

We don't need a Shadow Moon 2.0. The one we got was made in 2011 using the more standard style.

Why on earth would they bother with a Kabuto 2.0 after having just reissued the figure? While I would appreciate a 2.0 I don't necessarily need one.

It depends on how he looks and if they decide to do everyone else in that style. All I have is Kabuto and if they plan to do 2.0 versions of his entire cast, I'll rebuy him just for consistency sake.

No way in hell they'd actually incorporate Masked Form parts in. I'd say if/when any of the masked forms get releases they'll be entirely separate from the riders themselves.

Did they ever make a road sector bike for either figuarts or souchaku henshin? i want to get all three but I'd like to have both black and shadow moon on bikes.
