Tamashii Features Volume 6 Event Preview Photos
 

The preview night of Bandai's Tamashii Features Volume 6 is well under way and already we have some rather interesting reveals on our hands!

Our first real reveal of the event is a renewal version of Kamen Rider Kabuto, who is due out in 2014. This news comes hot on the heels of the Kamen Rider Black renewal that is due out later this year.

However the new Figuarts body is also on display at the event on a number of Rider stages, with one for every Heisei era Kamen Rider with the exception of Kamen Rider Wizard. While this could easily be a proof of concept display, it's exciting nonetheless to see the first glimpses of what could become Kamen Rider Hibiki and Kamen Rider Kiva Figuarts!

Also included are some effect parts displays, a look at the various prototype stages the figures go through and a further look at the new glowing stage.

The original Kabuto mold was pretty decent but this one's downright perfect. And would it be too much to ask for them to release blank figuarts bodies?

That would be a God-send to customisers everywhere.

Oh MAN I hope we get a Figuart of Kiva's base form soon. It's one of my favourite Rider suits ever.

I am so waiting to get that mold of Kabuto looks amazing. Yeah I want base form Kiva too.

Please please please tell me they are marketing those effect sets! Those are all amazing and I would buy all of them.

Those effects their using on Kuuga make him look absolutely EPIC. I cannot wait for the new Kabuto mold it looks so pretty.

They've got the base body in the iconic poses for each Rider... Yep, this one gets it.

Those hips ARE fantastic.

So are those upcoming effect sets.

All I can say is right now I'm SO glad I didn't cave and buy Kabuto when he was reissued a few months ago.

Bit sucky for anyone who did though.

New Kabuto looks fantastic~ They fixed the main problem with the original, which was the thinner limbs. I'll definitely be picking up any updates they do to previous figures.

Yay they are making utopia. He was one of the only things i liked from W. Ill have to get him when hes released.

New Kabuto mold? Bought.
Utopia with joints? Bought.
Possible Hibiki and Kiva? Bought.

Seeing as how I just got Kabuto a month ago, I'm a little bit mad. However, I'll let Bandai decide on whether or not I get him based on if they are going to release the rest of the Kabuto riders in the new style. I haven't bought anyone else from Kabuto, so if they do 2.0 versions of them, then I'll buy them all including Kabuto. If they don't, I'll stick with the Kabuto I have now.

Anyway, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they are planning to redo all of the Heisei riders in new molds since they are pretty much done with everyone. The only way to make more money is to sell us the same riders again.

So they're redoing the Heisei Riders?

Do W-Fourze really need new bodies though? Fourze is pretty good as he is.

OOO could definitely benefit from the new mold.

I want a rerelease of OOO stuff just so I have the chance to buy it, the few OOO Figuarts I find are either ridiculously marked up in price or of forms/characters that only the most diehard fans care about.

That is a part of the reason I was so pleased Black got a rerelease, I didn't think his original mold was all that bad but good luck trying to find that one for a decent price! The rerelease gets me a chance to get a "rare" figure and "cheaply". Just a shame I missed the Hopper pre order window...

Love that new base. Don't love the effect parts trolling though. It's not fair that get to show them off and we never get to buy them :(

After seeing these pictures, I think I will focus my collection on only Figuarts and some TFs lol. Those effects are amazing I want two of each. I may start collecting the Kamen Riders I don't have as long they have the Renew body. God these will probably bankrupt me eventually.

Seeing that Tatoba on the glowing stage makes me want one T_T

Effects, will own...stairs will own...new Kabuto? Damnit, I thought he was perfection until I saw this...crap...Alternative? Already has a special place...and those glowing Faiz guys...grrr....want...really want...but damn...but where the hell is my Delta and Psyga??

The Riders are all well and good, but you guys are overlooking the reveal of Effect Acts and new Stage Acts. We're getting Effect Act Impact (1500Yen), Explosion (YES!, 2500Yen), and Flame (1800Yen) and Stage Act Steps (2000Yen). That's far more interesting than a new Kabuto that's really not needed imo.

While effect parts are nice and I've even complained about a lack of them before, I notice I rarely use the ones included with figures as it is. I'm more excited about that Kabuto and the possibilities it opens up. It looks to be leaps and bounds better than the original.

New molds, effect parts(?), and STEPS! Bandai is...Stepping their game up. :cool:

What is up with the steps? Are those actually coming out? How many figures can stand on them?

Secondly, are they going to be reissuing the Dopants and Greeeds or are they there just for show?

If you look at all the displays they're showcasing EVERY figuart every made as a part of the anniversary of the line. They aren't re-releasing them but some figures like Kabuto and Black are getting Renewal releases.

Yeah, I think I got it now. Damn, I was really hoping they would reissue them to lower the market values on things like Taboo Dopant and Uva.
