With the San Diego Comic Convention over, a few final details surrounding the various news and progress from Bandai have been cleared up thanks to our attending representatives.

Hopefully these answers should clear up some questions fans may have:

I'm calling BS on the Sentai on the board being accidents due to being 'directly lifted from Legend War footage, there's no way whoever was making that picture did not know what they were doing. I know its just a nod to Sentai fans, but I don't think it was a mistake by the artist that they're there, there's just waaaaay too many Sentai there for that.

But the other stuff is just excuses for how cheap and crappy their toys are. I think making the Ranger Keys (that were small and not very detailed to begin with) tiny and taking out Gokaioh's main function is just crossing a line. I'm glad I have all the retail releases.

I like the ranger keys and the zordbuilder Gokai Oh. I don't even combine them with other megazord from past seasons, but the zordbuilder zords are just better toys than the sentai versions, hands down (and I have all the sentai zords from Gekiranger to Gokaiger). I just wish the blue on the arm was a little lighter in color.

The Ranger Keys being smaller gets us more detail, and I'm fine with that. Moving to smaller figures gave us painted backs on the figures up until this year, something we only got a handful of times before.

I'm stoked for the new line, but if it's not your cup of tea you have the sentai releases and even the super megaforce figuarts, so it's really something for everyone this year.

Sure, if you like smaller, less detailed toys with entire functions (and even modes) removed they are better "hand down". The only "Zordbuilder" toy that is even debatable to be compared to the Sentai Version is DX Daizyujin and Legacy Megazord.

From what we've seen at SDCC, the detail is equal to the JP versions, they're just much, much smaller and wider. There's a rumour that they're spring-loaded, but no actual confirmation on that and to be honest that's not worth them looking like crap.

How is a very obvious spring not proof of them being spring loaded?

We haven't seen any buttons like the spring-loaded JP ones or how they work if they are spring-loaded. It's just weird they said "as good if not better", considering the Gokaiger keys weren't spring-loaded at all except for the SE set.

Either way, not having to flick up the bottom is not a worthy trade-off for ridiculously tiny, fat keys that look terrible.

I saw a comparison pics of the keys the helmets on the USA Keys are better they are such looted to be that helmet and not just painted

I heard the button is the helmet of the ranger key

Japan key helmet details are molded into the figure as well, assuming that's what you mean. The helmets look pretty much exactly the same as the JP ones except much, much smaller.

so i take it we wont get proper aux zords for the legendary megazord? sigh and no way i can afford to track down gokai oh and all the jp aux mechs

I really want Zeo Ranger figuarts.

And here is where I start ranting about the Samurai Megazord. The Dragon Zord can't completely unfold, the zords can't go into into their emblem modes, most of the auxiliary zord combinations aren't even show accurate (the only one that looked like the one in the show was the Samurai Shark Megazord combination), it is missing it's shield, the sword has no paint, and the Ape Zord needs to be able to fold into emblem mode for certain combinations (for example the Gigazord). All in all, the zordbuilder version of the Samurai Megazord was a piece of crap.

And you didn't even mention the "WTF" was the BoA Lightzord!
