Thanks to the HeroTaku Blog we have a close look at the first round of toys for our fresh new Kamen Rider Gaimu!

This includes an extensive look at the Sengoku Driver, the Musou Saber weapon, the various Arms armor styles and multiple LockSeeds with a variety of other powers.

Gaimu hits shelves and airwaves this October!

So what, all Riders use a Sengoku Driver and then it changes color based on what fruit padlock you put in there?

Okay...the pineapple form is THE silliest thing I have ever seen. This show is going to be interesting to say the least! Also: it looks like you can swap out the identifying plate for each rider on the belt. Thank God! I'm so tired of having to buy multiple belts (especially when the secondary rider belt does so little compared to the main rider belt).

So in order to change what rider you want to be it looks like you have to change the side of the belt with the rider face to another rider, so you can have Gaimu with banana arms or Baron with Orange arms, I wonder if there is gonna be a switching of lock seeds this season

It opens the opportunity to swap with one another but not a reason to. At least with say OOO he combo'd the medals to create new forms but it appears here you can only use one at a time, so what would be the point of using someone else's fruit? Just so they can release the same figure x times and just change the base paint and swap the heads around?

any show that's make to sell toys is a toy commercial, it's made to have fun with it, that's whole purpose of this to begin with.

look at kr black, tv henshin belt? yeah that's not a toy commerical.

Yeah! pineapple rocks :rock:

Interesting to see that the bikes come from the seed locks, though the Fruit Mecha is not my cup of tea, I simply don't like mecha in KR

The action figures look great too.

I don't even know what to think about this series anymore. I looks like and sounds like the most bonkers thing ever but there is potential for some serious shit to go down.

That is what I am struggling with right now, goofy isn't inherently bad, I think the first half of Fourze is probably my favourite Kamen Rider stuff ever but I really don't like Kyoryuger and all the subtle and not so subtle allusions are deeply off putting.

I'm interested to see what they do with such general nuttiness (so I guess they have succeeded) but until I see how the nuttiness (or should that be fruitiness?) is implemented then I'm not really sold on this just yet.

I'm hoping that it starts out zany and goofy, but half way in it just takes a wrong turn to the dark area...Melon Mecha!!!!!

Getting a closer look at the locks,I can see how they work now.The one thing that has me confused is the card/pass thing used for Grape form.What exactly does it do? Banana form doesnt have one that we've seen.

I am liking the look of the bike and the power armor.Sure it's a watermelon,but in a weird,fun way it makes sense.Why not take the biggest fruit and make it an armor.The one thing I'm anxious to hear though,which I'm sure others are too,is "Why fruit?"

Like someone mentioned before,I think it has to do with Yygdrasill being a tree but it wouldn't explain grape or watermelon.It might just have to do with the belt creator having a fetish for fruit.I mean,we've had a fetish company head before and he was an amazing character.

Well Yygdrasill is the tree of life, the world tree, in norse mythology. With roots and branches in all the 9 realms. So it could stand to reason that it's fruit because their powers are born from the tree. Literally it bears the fruit of power, even those fruits which wouldn't normally grow from a tree. It's a magic tree so, yeah.

I'd say Yygdrasill Corporation is using some sort of magic/mythic tree thing to create rider powers and use them as weapons.

But grapes don't grow on trees. They grown on vines. Completely different I tell you!!

Question: if Ryugen has a raisin form would that make him a zombie then?

Not quite THAT dark, but some kind of deeper dark-themed plot element. This show has wonderful potential, regardless of it's fruit antics. Also, forgot to mention that the banana jousting lance must be in my hom like yesterday!

Well, at least the pineapple LOOKS like a pineapple. But it also makes it my least favourite form since it's just a pineapple over his body. Not quite as creative as the rest.

Also he can summon his bikes with locks. That's pretty neat.

Also I doubt there's an actual tree, so it's more symbolic than literal.

I think the arguement is that Kamen Rider is less overt in it's toy-selly-ness. However this is hit and miss.

I love the driver.I keep trying to figure it out and find out more and more about it.

Ok,how I think it works is the thing that plugs into the left side of the driver (best shown on the grape picture) ID's the user and gives them their unarmored form.The locks give them their armor.On the side of the locks are a series of tabs.Im thinking they work in tandom with the side card thats plugged in.

So say the side card is Gaimu.You use a lock the belt says "Lock On!",then when you henshin it'll say "Gaimu _____ Form" or something along those lines.

I don't think they'd hire him if they didn't want some of his more insane sensibilities. I think whatever comes out, it's going to be a fun ride with this one. I mean, we already have the "corporate controlled cities" bit. That seems telltale Urobuchi crazy to me. No way that doesn't go somewhere.

And, yes, everything about Gaimu designs so far seem silly and awesome. Love that they're big and armored this time. I like the previous riders, but it's time for something new. We've had enough sleek and fast for a little while.
