S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla 2000 and Heisei Mothra!
2 Attachment(s)
Straight out of the summer Wonder Festival, Tamashii Nations had an unprecedented presence at the event this year! The event is chock-full of incredible off-topic reveals, but of relevance to us is the pair of brand-new S.H. MonsterArts figures never previously seen!
Next year will bring the arrival of a new Godzilla as he appears in the film Godzilla 2000, and Mothra in her Heisei incarnation from the 1992 film Godzilla vs. Mothra! No price points or release dates are currently available, but we fully anticipate more details to come as well as the inevitable Bluefin confirmation! SOURCE: 2chan; THANKS: Lbsammills51 |
MonsterArts Mothra and 2000/Millenium Godzilla at Wonderfest
Per importmonsters' blog. Battra's also pictured.

What? I am dumbfounded but definitely happy. Those are some of my SHM wants. Awesome.
OMG YES! Millenium Godzilla is SO bought. Probably Mothra too.
The eyes seem a bit off, but I am VERY interested in Godzilla 2000.
Mothra and Battra are must haves, but not sure about G2000. I like the design, but I really do not have the room to get every Gman.
Even though being a moth leaves Morhra with probably only about 11 points of articulation, it doesn't stop her from looking beautiful.
Mothra is awesome. Godzilla's monster comrades and arch-nemeses are all awesome. |
Damn that 2000 looks sweet. If there's any MA Godzilla that I'd be most likely to get, it's that one.
I don't collect these, but I have to admit, I'm glad to see Mothra being made. A friend of mine has recently gotten into this line, and he'll definitely be happy to see Mothra too. G2000 just...looks weird to me. Then again I'm not a fan of that design. It's always looked like a cheap knock-off of Godzilla to me.
Well, seems we are just a few steps away from a possible MonsterArts Orga. This pleases me.
I have the Revoltech, but Mothra is another must-have for me. Godzilla vs Mothra 92 is my absolute favourite Godzilla film so her and Battra coming are a dream come true.
Not surprising to see Mothra so soon after Battra. And glad to see the Millennium era getting some love as well. Where's my GMK Goji?!
2000 Godzilla! Fuck yeah!
So to drop my two cents about this...I'm cool with it hopefully those hinges on both Mothra and Battra won't be troublesome than that of King Ghidorah (even though I don't have the figure just red about the problems with its wings).
As awesome as this all is, doubt we'll ever see an SHM Ebirah though. No love for giant marauding mutant shrimp monsters :cry
Yes, Godzilla 2000 may be the first Monsterart I get.
We're gonna need a bigger fly-swatter.
Give me mothra I^.^I
Bunch of more detailed close-ups over at Timeless Dimension
Im glad we get a Mothra but I was expecting the GMK version of Mothra. Maybe next time..
We get a Battra reveal only weeks before and you expected GMK? :p
One of the most interesting things about the Godzilla 2000 - besides articulated fingers!!!! - is that it's actually the concept design by Yuji Sakai (of course, this SHMA is another sculpt by him) rather than the suit appearance from the film itself. I wonder if this will lead to Bandai pulling a Ultraman Jonias and releasing a second, suit-accurate version of Godzilla 2000 or if Sakai pushed to release his version. Incidentally, the person who works on most of the MonsterArts releases that aren't done by Sakai himself, Shinichi Wakasa, is the one who sculpted the actual suit! :lol |
