New movie...apparently is going forward(haven't paid much attention), because THIS turned up:

Yeah it's already been shot. Has Michael Keaton, Samuel L Jackson, Gary Oldman and Jackie Earle Haley in it.

This project looks like a trainwreck.

The new suit is hideous and the production team interviewed at SDCC said they were "aiming for a broader audience" which is moviespeak for PG-13 rating. Utterly missing the point of the original.

Black should only be used for accents.

All black with a red visor looks like the kind of bad design choices someone would make 20 years ago...

I don't particularly agree with the decision to leave the right hand or the retractable visor, but I guess there's the in universe explanation of letting him be more "human" in his interactions or something. Anyways, always excited to see anything Robocop. Definitely going to see this, nostalgia be damned.

I actually think it looks great as well.

As Ive never seen the originals, this looks badass as an action film. Granted, I also like Revenge of the Fallen, so dont take my word on movies.

Looks every bit like the awful, generic, wannabe-blockbuster I feared it would be.

The fact that Murphy's wife now has a "choice" to make him Robocop seems like a pointless addition and the fact that OCP appears to have set him up because he's the "ONLY ONE" who could be Robocop is already making my eyes roll.

And the "suit design is boring; how about black" section really feels like the production crew taking shots at the original to the tune of Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better.

Plus the fact that they cut it down to PG-13 in order to maximize audiences means I will probably hate this and it will probably make a fortune.

Tell you something though, really makes me want to watch the original again. If only I could find a proper uncut version here in the UK.

I think the suit looks pretty good actually.

RoTF had issues, but it was a good movie. I just ignore the Racist twins and Devastator's Wrecking Balls :lol

And Megan Fox.

I've obviously seen the movie already, just never the uncut version. The 80s are my favourite decade for cinema, all the best sci-fi, horror and action came out in that decade (although the early 90s were still awesome for action if you're in the right mindset). Shame it was such a shit time to grow up, because I would have been in my element filmwise.

Feedback suggests this one is uncut. Can't really argue with the price either.

Apparently the Criterion One is uncut as well, which I didn't realise.

Robo looks like Knight Rider's K.I.T.T. with legs these days. Some of it looks virtually interchangeable with the Total Recall remake and the CGI looks weak. I'm generally a pretty easy going guy, but I cannot get interested in this steaming pile.

It feels like ultimate Robocop to me. I loved the original and I think this looks pretty cool. I like the tweaks to the origin and the suit upgrades.

Count me in for opening night!

Eh, with that, I treat it more of a comedy then action. Just to stupid for me not to laugh. :lol

But I do like the look of the designs from this movie, might just be SLJ in it, I mean, is there any action flick nowadays he isnt in? :lol

If we could get him in the upcoming Godzilla movie, then the world would be perfect :lol

I dunno...I don't like the sideways shot at the original design. I MUCH prefer the silver and black scheme over the all black look. I also have a feeling that "Dead or alive" line will be one of those that's only in the trailer. Honestly, Robocop was a film that never needed to be remade or rebooted. The original was just fine the way it was. I wish Hollywood would remake/reboot franchises that didn't really work the first time around. But that would be too much of a risk so they'll just keep rebooting the same franchises over and over.

One positive note I came away with from the trailer: ED-209 looks awesome.

I really really liked this trailer alot. I was entirely skeptical of it before seeing this footage, but I really like the way this movie looks now.

The second trailer only depresses me even further. It still feels like yet another soulless action flick.

Honestly though,it looks horrible.It's nice that they stayed close to the story,but since when has Robocop ever moved that fast? It's just too action-y.

I'd rather wait for Godzilla and all the other 2014 movies that I know will be good.

Although I admit I wouldn't know it was Robocop if it wasn't for the title, I still think the movie looks awesome.

I do! Might be the fact I never saw the old ones, but this looks great!

I watched the original Robocop movies as a kid, and while I liked them then, I'm seriously looking forward to this one! I might be in the minority about liking the design for the armor, but the all black works. Especially since most police that I've ever known have worn black or shades of darker blue, not silver to make themselves targets. So I can appreciate the realism for that.

I can't wait for this to come out.

I understand your point,but there's no reason to make him have black armor cause he's Robocop.Last time I checked,he didn't need to sneak around.I was ok with it when it was silver,then I saw they made it black for more stealthiness/just cause and I saw that he moved quicker.It takes away the feeling that he's an android/robot and more that he's just a human wearing armor.
