Retooled Legacy Morpher Spotted at TRU
 

As reported by Henshin Justice, an updated version of the Legacy Morpher was spotted at retail by Jan Hernandez of Youtube.

Owners of the Legacy Morpher will know that the Morpher will play the original Mighty Morphin theme song if an activation button is pressed and held but only if the button is held.

The SDCC version fixed this by making it so that the theme song plays just by pushing the button and now it looks like the Morphers you’ll be able to purchase at retail will have this retool!

I've pressed the button maybe twice. This really isn't a big enough deal for anyone to go out and spend another $60 IMO.

Oh, so it actually makes it easier to get the theme song? Radical. I was worried that I'd be trying to get one over the other.

It is a nice improvement. That should have been the way they were made from the start. Not enough for me to sell mine at a loss and then buy this one. Especially if there is no way to know which is which.

As much as I think it's nice that they did that, I prefer to activate the music when I want and how long I want, I wouldn't want it activated all the time

I prefer the normal one.

I don't want to have to hear the whole theme whenever I want to make the activation noise.

Any way to tell them apart on the box?

There is a youtube review where someone said it was a different batch number on the bottom of the box. I'd have to go searching again to find the review.

I went to my toysrus and found nothing. It's been two weeks. I might order this online. Also why is there on the toysrus website 2 of the same original legacy Dino megazords? One is 59.99 and one is 69.99 but I see no difference at all.
I kind of angry we don't get the sdcc green / white ranger morphers. I would wish toyrus gets them and cut out the gold. Just die cast would be so awesome! Please make them for retail!
