are we sure it auto-Transformers? It looks a little stop motiony, which is a pretty common Bandai-commercial trick.

Had a quick thought.

If the MMZs are being done by Tamashii Nations and are gonna be released in September, chances are we could see them at New York Comic Con being sold at their booth.

If that's the case I'll definitely consider picking one up from there, since it would mean paying the base price with no shipping costs.

Well, BlueFin is a distributor for Bandai/Tamashii Nation, not Tamashii Nation themselves, so I don't know how that would actually work out, even bringing the SRC Daizyujin over they first had to have certain amount of fans asking for it on Facebook, plus they haven't announced that they will be bringing over the Figuarts Akibaranger, so this may not happen, especially not in time for NYCC

Eh. Seeing what it can do I'm a little underwhelmed. Maybe it'sasking too much of Bandai but I was really hoping that pulling the trigger would close the gun up and transform it, rather than having to push the pieces into place by hand. At the price this thing retails for it would have been really great if it could do that.

Yeah really makes me wonder why the hell this thing costs as much as it does.

judging by all the prices Bandai have set for their premium lines lately, it seems that is the trend, Bandai is raising the price tag just for the sake of it. I'm a bit disappointed as well, hope all the support I'm giving it would translate to more seasons of Akibaranger.
