How would you make a heisei & neo-heisei kamen rider series better?

The stories, the characters, type of characters that should've been added into the series, the forms and weapons, what would've been rewritten. You name it.

The best:

- Ryuki
- Faiz/555
- Hibiki
- Kabuto
- Den-O

I would change the ending of W so that it ended with episode 48. Not saying the finale was bad it just... :cry

I would change....

Fourze: Gamou... Sagittarius? Better for him to be Ophiuchus. Have someone else be Sagittarius! A grandson of Gamou or a good teacher unlike Sonoda & Ohsugi.

OOO: They should rewrite the OOO movie about the resurrection of the original OOO. Take place after episode 36. The reptile Greeed to be an old friend of Ankh's.

Kiva: Remove the 1986 storyline and talk about Wataru. Give that show a "Devil May Cry" theme! Remove everyone as IXA and just Nago. Make the mummy not a legendorga but an ally to Wataru. No 13 races! or better yet.... START EVERYTHING OVER!

I would make Blade better by giving it a sequel.

I would have changed W so that it ended on 48, and instead of making a pointless Kamen Rider Eternal movie, make instead a movie dealing with Shotaro being Fuuto's lone protector and Philip recompiling in the Xtreme memory overtime. That way we'd get plenty of Shotaro by himself, dealing with being alone in his fight against crime, and Philip's return a growing plot and struggle for him. AND GIVEN SKULL HIS OWN MOVIE GOD DAMMIT.

I would have given Den-O a better villain, introduced a bit earlier. But that's literally it.

i havent finished den o yet but i would make den o better by having more then 2 main series riders also the following

wing form would have eventually become his own seperate rider

den liners owner would have become kamen rider king in an episode before the movie (his liner would be the king liner) after he was defeated by gaoh then gaoh would take his card and become gaoh and then after gaoh is defeated the king ticket is given to ryoutaro who uses it to become den-os true form king form (liner form and super climax form would have never existed and climax form would have been created in the series of 4 den-o movies)

hana would have become a rider

and besides zeronos seig den o and hana there would be two other riders

and when den o was at the peak of its popularity after everything den-o related was supposedly released thered be a sequel

btw youre list of shows that are best and worst are subject to opinion.

Just put up which ones are fine and which ones that are in need of fixing.

555/Faiz: I'm disappointed in Faiz. The Orphenoch King could've been more of a threat if he was also Orga in the TV show while Kiba is Orga in the movie.

Kiba would've been the dark rider version of Faiz. Kusaka's a jerk and it would be nice for Kaido to become Kaixa after the turd's death. Get rid of Mihara and have Keitaro be Delta.

Double/W: Kirhiko would've stayed after leaving the Sonozaki family. He'd be wounded by Saeko and found by Shroud giving him a lost driver to become KR Nasca to help Double & Accel. Then we'd have three riders instead of two.

OOO: Would be nice for it to have a dark counterpart of OOO: the original. That would've had an extra movie and the reborn king would've had an army of Greeeds at his side.

- Kuuga
Keep most of the show intact but have the Kuuga vs N Daguba Zeba Showdown at the Akatsuki and have the end result passively be the catalyst to the birth of the Agitos a.k.a. passengers of the Akatsuki. Godai is proclaimed missing from the incident.

- Agito
With Agito now fully connected with Kuuga, Start off the show months after the Akatsuki Incident from the Kuuga finale and have the show proceed the way we know the show. then as a filler arc sum up all plot holes of the show and explain the battle between the Gods linking Kuuga and Agito. Then have a brainwashed Kuuga for a few eps only to be back in its glory and then helping out Agito, G3-X, and Gills time to time as the senior Rider. Moving on, introduce Mirage Agito as the last boss and finish the story with the same happy ending from the show (Godai as well).

- Ryuki
Make it be Kamen Rider Tiger and Bunny and get rid of the battle royale thing going on. Have Ryuga as a clone of Ryuki and replace him with Abyss, and have episode one introduce Wada Keichi as the first Ryuki only to die in episode 2 passing the powers to Shinji. Then, finish the show with the Riders lead by Shinji and Ren fighting a mutated Kanzaki (Xaviax) who later gets back to his senses and dies protecting Yui from a berserk "doomsday device". One more thing would be to have ORE Journal be a magazine that solely reports the activities of the Kamen Riders.

- Faiz/555
Introduce Takumi as a former elite Orphenoch-turned-traitor that fights Smart Brain with the Faiz gear he stole. Keep Kusaka the way he was in the show, explain why he is the way he is and then kill him off around episode 35 as we introduce Yuji as the new Orphenoch commander Psyga. The following episode will then introduce Mihara as an escaped Smart Brain labrat and one of the few remaining Ryusei Academy alumni other than Mari who ran away with the Delta gear but refuses to fight after the traumatizing experiments done to the Ryusei Academy alumni. Eventually, Mihara joins the fight and Keitaro dons the recalibrated Kaixa gear 2.0 helping Takumi. The show then concludes with all four riders fighting the Lucky Clover and sealing the Orphenoch King. Kiba then becomes the new CEO of Smart Brain while Takumi decides to travel the world.

- Blade
Have the first few episodes show how Kenzaki became Blade, and then show the actual episode 1 be episode 5-ish. Proceed through the show as it is and then have a epilogue episode that borrows elements from the Blade novel.

- Hibiki
LET SHIGENORI TAKADERA FINISH THE SHOW.

- Kabuto
Have the show be a M.I.B type show where basically Tendo is Tommy Lee Jones and Kagami is Will Smith. Introduce Mishima as their direct boss only to reveal himself as Dark Kabuto and die by Kabuto and Gatack's double rider kick.

-Den-O
Have Kai introduced earlier and incorporate New Den-O in the later part of the show as the third official Rider.

-Kiva
Have Wataru as a bumbling rookie of the Wonderful Blue Sky Group under the tutelage of Nago and Megumi while secretly fighting as Kiva (think Spider-Man). Have Otoya as an amnesiac ghost who guides Wataru, only to later reveal that he is Wataru's father and the Proto Ixa/Greatest agent of all time. Keep the fact that Wataru is a Damphir, and finish off the show with Kiva and Dark Kiva defeating the Fangire King minus the time-traveling 4th Kiva abruptly interrupting the Nago - Megumi wedding. Also, have Shizuka as Kiva-la.

- Decade
Have the show reveal that the Decade that once destroyed the worlds was an imposter/Dark Decade and then finish off the show properly with Decade and the 9 re-imagined Heisei Riders fighting all Kaijins in an all-out bloodbath of Kaijins exploding like fireworks. Then, conclude the show with Tsukasa, Kaito, Yusuke, and Natsumi taking a break from the aftermath at Fuuto hinting at Kamen Rider W.

Hibiki - I wouldn't fire the writers and producer. Then I'd give it a second season. Maybe a third. And lots of movies. None of which involved Toshiki Inoue.

Here's what I would fix of Fourze due to having a high school space theme thing.

- Instead of two riders, how about three? Fourze represents Rokuro & Kengo, Meteor represents Emoto & if there is a zodiarts rider, that would represent Gamou.

- Make Meteor the third rider while the zodiarts rider the second, I call him Constellar. The zodiarts rider is Gamou's grandson. He sees Kengo as a worthy adversary while Gentaro is an annoyance to him thinking friendship is weakness.

- Constellar blames himself for the cause of Gentaro's parents in the car accident during his training. Annoyed by Gentaro was just an act to hide his pain. He uses Miu, JK, Shun & Tomoko to become zodiarts to destroy him.

- Make Aries like Weather Dopant and have the new Horoscopes have other zodiarts to back them up as minions.

- Switch Gamou from Sagittarius to Ophiuchus while Constellar is Sagittarius instead.

- Emoto as Tachibana? I'd like Rokuro to be Tachibana.

- The Horoscopes? Sonoda as Scorpio & Emoto as Virgo? Was surprised. Switch genders?

- Make Tomoko the first to know Ryusei's identity.

Kamen Rider Decade. The first thing you do is fire the entire cast. Then you tweak the story slightly, while keeping everything else. Costumes, Gimmick, Riders, everything.

You tweak the story by giving Decade what he sorely needed the most: A Villian. He had everybody else's during his travels but he really didn't have one of his own to struggle against. Create one that travels to world to world before him causing mayhem, and he has to follow them before that world collapses. Yes, what's his name from Shocker travelled to worlds and bad-mouthed Decade. But I'm talking more than just trolling.
Then you give him an ending. The Rider War we were promised and they never delivered on.

Maybe the guy who was trolling Decade should have been the villain, intentionally messing up shit just to get Decade Matyred or something. Maybe he kidnaps Natsumi and Decade goes up to him and says, "I'm going to fucking kill you," to some extent.

What about W?

- Can they make Shotaro a Dopant when he loses Phillip? And instead of an Eternal movie, how about a movie where there is a dark counterpart of W and is controlling Shotaro's mind as the Joker Dopant and Phillips is forced to become the Fang Dopant to save him.

This is just my opinion, but that honestly sounds awful. Shotaro showed his weakness when he cried when Philip died, but also showed his immense strength when he kept going.

Shotaro's whole character arc, the whole bit about being hard/half-boiled, is that Shotaro initially views emotions as a sign of weakness and tries his hardest to bury them like his hard-boiled and stoic boss whom he idolises. Over time he realises that they're not a detriment or something to be scared of, which is why he cries so much at the end, so to have him break down and become a monster when losing his partner seriously ruins the character.

That sounds even more awful.

That seriously flies in the face of the entire point of Kamen Rider W, and the reason we've never seen a Joker Dopant. Kamen Rider is the symbol of the citie's hope, and Dopants symbolize corruption. Shotaro would never become a Dopant, willingly or forcefully. It would ruin the entire point of his character as Kamen rider, an incorruptable protector. That was the point of Eternal in A to Z, he took that name and twisted it. Having either Shotaro or Philip becoming Dopants would be completely counter-productive. That's why the lost Driver exists. Memories naturally corrupt people, using one without a driver would taint the heroes in ways you can't undo.

Now if, say, they had a movie or something where it turns out not all the T-2's were destroyed and they fought other people transformed into Fang and Joker Dopants, that'd not be a bad idea, especially if Phillip was pulled a little bit forward into the spotlight and they defeated them as FangJoker.

But turning the heroes into monsters, especially to save one or the other, is opposite the entire point of the show.

What about Kiva?

There has to be a way to make it, Spider-Man, Devil May Cry & Darkstalkers style.

Get rid of Saga. Make Shizuka a witch. For Wataru, give him a dhampir-like Fangire form instead when Bishop tries to unlock Wataru's fangire blood within him.

The Checkmate Four? Switch to Five with a Knight. Make the Knight a rider to assist Wataru/Kiva.

That fills me with sadness. :( I can, however get behind the Checkmate Five.

Why? I don't see anything special about Saga anymore.

I loved Saga. I loved his design, I loved his character, I loved his story... heck, I even loved his annoying flying-snake belt.

Well he was okay. But instead of him being a King. how about a Knight instead?

Or another monster rider to be Knight and side with Kiva.

Give Taiga/Saga a Cobra Fangire form! And Wataru instead of that flight style, give him a dhampir-like form.

Looks like Wizard will need a rewrite!

Decade: Remove it from existence.

The whole problem with Decade was that everybody was trying to remove him from existence, being the destroyer of worlds and everything :p

I always felt that they should have dropped the "destroyer of worlds" it never made much sense and lead to nothing.

They should have simply accepted that Decade had no story of his own, instead of giving him that title in an attempt to give him some backstory...

You could see they were clearly building up to something, but instead of resolving it, they just brushed it aside with the hopes of letting the movie explain it all.
Which it didn't.

Decade in a nutshell, teasing us with the promise of a true story. But it's a trap. :p

No, Decade's problem was the fact that it was 30 episodes long. There wasn't enough time to properly explore all the Rider worlds and make Tsukasa a character that can stand on his own two feet. As cool as the Shinkenger and Black crossover episodes were, they weren't needed and should've been cut to make room for more back story.

My only problem with this list is that it doesn't speak for the opinions of everyone here. I will defend Fourze and say that it isn't the worst and Den-O to an extent.

I'd fix Ryuki so Yui, the crutch if the Ryukiverse, wasn't a shitty chracter

It's not like they tried very hard to make an overarching story...

But had they left out the Showa and Shinken worlds and focused more in Tsukasa and the gang it probably would have been better.

I can't remember if I posted this idea on this thread or not. So if I did feel free to ignore it.

Kamen Rider Decade. I'd keep the motif, the suit, the gimmick, and the premise. But I'd completely change out the entire cast, give it a better detailed more coherent story, and give the series an actual ending.

I'd make Decade into an evil organization's experiment to annihilate all the KRs once and for all.

But the hero Decade (who is a cyborg like the originals) ended up in a vortex after a final battle losing all of its memories of serving the evil empire.

The Dark Decade would be the new leader of the empire after the hero became a failure to them.

Get rid of Narutaki!

Kuuga: I'd change everything. I'd redo all the fights with modern special effects, I'd completely rewrite the last ten or so episodes, I'd take out like half the forms, I'd lighten the tone considerably and replace Kuuga with an entirely new user who isn't passive and shit.

Fourze: I would remove the second half, and continue the show as it was in the first half. A high school drama with Kamen Rider action worked so fucking well, they used their setting so fantastically, so it was so disappointing they suddenly decided they wanted a space opera in the last five minutes. Oh also, I would get rid of Meteor Storm, what a load of shit.

OOO: I'd cut out all the stuff about Eiji learning about like the past of the Driver and how to wield the powers, I'd start it with him in control and have Date as Birth as the protagonist learning to control his powers. I'd also streamline the lore of the series considerably, as the show has like six different explanations and backstories and it's a confusing mess.

I would turn Dark Decade into Diend (to give the guy some purpose) make Kuuga the second Rider and we are set.

For all it's flaws there was something I always liked about Decade: not bringing back the original Kuuga when the original Riders reunite, nothing against Onodera (haven't watched a single episode of Kuuga) but it made it feel like Agito was truly the main rider of their shared world.

Just a random thought I wanted to share.

I'd fix Kiva. Get rid of the lame names like Garulu Saber, Basshaa Magnum & Dogga Hammer.

They're hard to understand.

Get rid of IXA, Saga, Rey & Arc.

For W, OOO, Fourze and Wizard....

W: Make Kirhiko a tertiary rider with the Nasca power.
OOO: Bring the original OOO back as the Dark OOO in some extra movie. And another rider that his like NEW Den-O but called NeOOO with a combination of OOO & Birth.
Fourze: Have a zodiarts-type rider as the secondary and have Meteor be the third.
Wizard: Have a Phantom rider join Kizaki's group before Beast.

Get rid of Ixa? He's pretty much the only Rider in Kiva worth a damn.

I like those names, and their respective forms.

Rey and Arc were movie exclusive so not much to do there, IXA worked well as a link between the two periods. Can't comment on Saga, the guy was a mixed bag.

One thing that I didn't like about Kiva was that in 2008 Kiva had a reputation as a dangerous individual and even a threat to mankind, yet Dark Kiva was barely a threat in 1986, since after it's incredibly late debut it was almost inmediately given to Otoya


As for W I remember some rumors when it was airing about Nasca memory being acquired by Shotaro and used as a power-up, that would have been nice.

Wizard: I'd completely remove the Gate of the week shit, and focus on all the stuff that matters.

I'd have White Wizard be the same badass, but I'd let his scheming happen on screen, so his tragedy has time to play out and not just come from nowhere with some rushed explanation that explains nothing and makes no sense.

I'd have Gremlin in from the start of the show, and I'd both give him and Medusa actual powers, and stuff to do. As both of them were basically non existent and often out classed by of the week Phantom's that had much cooler designs and actual unique powers.

I'd make Beast/Nitou be the hero he's been for the last few months, from the start. I don't know why he started as some comic relief mayo obsessed weirdo, but that character was shit and I'm grateful it was dropped and they acted like he never existed. I wish he hadn't.

I'd have each Style/Dragon be its own Rider and then Haruto combines their powers together to make Infinity, rather than that CGI abomination that is All Dragon. And rather than having four stock Mages at the end.

I'd have Koyomi be an actual character, or give someone else her arc who was actually in the show.

I'd give the whole Tokyo Ritual thing longer than five minutes in a single episode.

Lets see- Make it where Den-O had a good villian that actually explained what the hell he was doing, other than to live a bunch of nothing. Keep the original Hana. Oh and explain more on the Sakurai/Airi/Hana thing. That was just to much of a rushed ending.
