Kamen Rider Wizard Will Have 53 Episodes
1 Attachment(s)
As reported by the folks at HenshinJustice, Kamen Rider Wizard will be ending with 53 episodes making it one of the longest series of the Heisei Era. Two of those episodes will be TV Specials that will debut Kamen Rider Gaimu.
Potential spoilers for Kamen Rider Wizard ahead, the last batch of episodes will be titled The Beginning of the Sabbath , What Are Important Things? and The Final Hope. While the penultimate episodes will be titled The Ring of Kamen Rider and Neverending Story SOURCE: HenshinJustice |
Hazah! The show has seriously gained momentum in the last 5 or so episodes so this is great news!
|
The Neverending story? Where have I heard that before?
|
Wait, I thought they were going to be doing special episodes?
|
*Spews out water from mouth in mouth* Seriously? Wow, hope Wizard can create some insanley good story from this lucky break. Wizard pretty much hasn't had much story until the mid 30's so now the writers have a pretty lucky oppritunity to expand upon what they already have. But from the titles of these episodes, it sounds like maybe wrap more then the finale since the titles of episode 50 and 51 sound like finale episodes.
So my theory about Gaim coming in October due to the implementation of new CG technonogy was wrong. Maybe Gaim is getting delayed becuase the suits want the toys closer to christmas. |
This is just fine with me. Ive been enjoying wizard since the beginning, so more of it is great.
|
I don't mind the length. While I haven't been particularly enjoying Wizard up until now if this let's the story wrap up properly I'm all for it.
|
Cool, I'm definitely down for more Wizard.
|
...Hooray.
|
im worried about them being 2 clip shows or one clip show and a look about of the 14 years or 15 years of the hesei era of kamen rider

Are children in Japan really that dumb or is there something that I'm missing here? |

Second, this is less about Wizard's quality and more about Gaim being pushed back to October and Toei needing something to fill those extra weeks. At first it was going to be some special one-shot things, now it looks like we're just getting a couple extra episodes of Wizard. I'll happily take the latter over the former. Third, Rider fun fact: this makes Wizard the third longest running Kamen Rider series after the original (98 episodes) and Skyrider (54 episodes). |
I was okay with this, but the titles of the episodes leave something to be desired. Particularly, I'm not liking how Episode 51 definitely sounds like it should be the final episode and the next two were hastily tacked on and probably aren't all too relevant (since apparently they serve to introduce Gaim?).

I am not against Wizard receiving 53 episodes. I merely think it could have told the story in fewer episodes. I do appreciate the fact that they're going to develop the story farther before ending it, though. |

That said, at least with W I can ignore the entire last episode and be happy. Ryuki I have to ignore like..10 minutes of the last episode, which is a bit more annoying to do IMO. |
W was about a whole series too long but that's just my opinion. I'll gladly take more Wizard though :D

Wait aren't the other two just specials about the franchise history of kamen rider meaning that the show only ends at 51?

I hate Wizard.
I don't give a fuck at this point. It's boring and obviously had no plan, with poorly written characters and mediocre actors portraying them. It getting 53 episodes is tortuous and like drawing out a train wreck. |

LOL at the people getting pissy at Wizard getting 53 episodes and complaining why X neo-heisei series didn't get 53 episodes.
I have enjoyed Wizard so far, granted, it doesn't have much story until the 30's but it doesn't waste your fucking time like Kuuga. I just wish Beast had his own Timer accessory.... |

I really don't feel that way. Wiseman had uncontested control over the Phantoms, Fueki had no concern over the lives of others. Why would he pit Haruto against the Phantoms?
If he needs Haruto, but Haruto resisted Fueki, why doesn't he just brainwash Haruto like he did Yuzuru and Green Mage (Forgot his name)? Where did Fueki get the Mage rings when Wajima resolved to not create rings for him, anymore? If the Mage rings were created the same time as the Wizard rings, why were Haruto's rings different? It feels more like they just tied all the dangling plot threads together and shrugged by having Fueki walk on set and just explain everything, rather than let the story come together as it should have. |
Wizard spoilers, yo.

Haruto really hasn't resisted so far, though. He's had questions, but he hasn't openly rebelled so far. And up until now he's had an important role to fill - stop the spread of the Phantoms and keep the Philosopher's Stone charged without using any of Fueki's own Mana. I'm not sure how easy the mind control is, either, given that Mayu has plenty of free will, too. It may have just been something he busted out when Yuzuru and Todoroki resisted. Quote:
Two, Wajima did make the Mage rings, but Fueki only wanted and/or needed one full Wizard to take care of the Phantoms. Given Haruto's ability to rise above the limits of the powers Fueki gave him and create the Infinity Ring, it makes sense that Fueki would fear what four full-fledged Wizards could do if they all chose to resist. Will Haruto have a chance to become the Dragon Phantom and will Nitoh sacrifice himself to stop the Sabbath?
