TV Shows - How do you guys do it?
I know a lot of people here regularly watch 3-4 shows at once. 1-2 currently on-air Toku shows, and maybe 1-2 past shows. This is not to mention non-Toku shows that many of us watch regularly too.
My question is, how do you guys do it? It's not even entirely about time, how do you psychologically balance watching so many shows at once? |

It's not that hard, it's the same way students manage to take 13 different classes and yet pay attention to each one.
It's simply natural I guess. |

Prioritizing which shows you wanna watch first usually helps. Though usually for me it's whatever I'm in the mood for.

It's easy.
A weekly series means that I only have to worry about 2 episodes, which is relatively easy to balance. A past series I can watch at my own pace, picking up or slowing down depending on my attention to other projects. I'm currently watching Wizard, Kyoryuger, Wild Force (About to drop it (Either for Zeo or In Space, not sure) because it makes me want to pull my teeth out), and I just finished Beast Wars, and about to start up Legend of Korra, with My Little Pony on constant loop on Netflix (It makes me happy. And a happy Matrix means I won't be heckling and pissing off other forumites :p). It's not juggling shows, it's watching things at your own pace. |

This is not one of those cases :p Gekiranger can be the chocolate to MLP's peanut butter~ |
I have a hard time trying to juggle Goseiger and Gobusters so i dunno.
|
Goseiger! Are you enjoying it?

Do you just pounce the moment someone mentions it? :lol |

With all this talk about Goseiger here and in the "What are you watching" thread I'm seriously considering watching it alongside Wizard and Go-busters... I wonder if I can manage 3 toku shows at once.

And it's a lot better than most give it credit for, I'll give it that. |
I tend to just watch off and on, 2 to 4 episodes at a time. If I'm watching it on DVD though, I just watch until I feel like taking a break.
|
I just go multi-task mode and watch at least 6 shows a day and I memorize each line and sometimes, I go so far as to re-enact those lines :lol.

I can watch 2 toku shows, 2 anime, and whatever is on TV in the US no problem.

At the moment, not very well :lol
Weekly-wise I'm juggling Wizard, Kyoryuger, Garo, Gatchaman Crowds, Symphogear G and C3-Bu (Ginga was on that list too). In my own time I'm watching KR Black, and then taking part in LWW with Nexus as well. I don't have much time for Black really :lol |
This is something I find harder because of the internet. I can easily watch ten shows at once (not all at the same time of course) but what I find makes it harder is being on a forum like this, I'm introduced to new shows daily and as it's difficult for me to truly love a series, I find myself getting half way through a lot of shows and drop them for something shiny and new.

I think, for me, it comes out of reading multiple books. I've usually had two or three going at a time, ever since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I guess that just carried over into watching TV.
For the record, at the moment, I'm watching Gokaiger, Go-Busters, and OOO, as far as Toku goes and a bunch of US and UK TV series. |

I could never read multiple books at the same time. It drove me insane :lol
|
Reading a few books at once? That's even harder! So hard to get absorbed!
|
The key to how I do it is weekends. Usually I watch a large amount of shows over the weeknd so I don't have to watch it during the week so it doesn't distract me from school. Last weekend I blasted through the end of Ryuki and this weekend I am going to blast through the first half of Gundam Wing with some Kamen Rider Kabuto inbetween.

I actually have a lot trouble keeping up with even one show. I think the most I've done is watching three ongoing anime series as they were coming out, so it ended up being three episodes a week.
|
I don't watch any TV and rarely go to the movies, so it's easy.
