S.H. Figuarts Tyranno Ranger Gallery
40 Attachment(s)
It's time for another installment in Tokunation's celebration of 20 years of Power Rangers! This month we celeberate none other than the original series that started it all, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers which premiered in August 1993!
In honor of that today we bring you this gallery of S.H. Figuarts Tyranno Ranger from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger or as he was known in MMPR itself the Original Red Ranger! Tyranno/Geki was brother to Burai the Dragon Ranger and the leader of the Zyurangers and wielded the mighty Ryugekiken as his personal weapon, the Power Sword for Jason. Geki and Jason would both go on in their respective series to inherit the Dragon/Green Rangers powers. This Japanese release of the figure includes his Powerful Rangers accessories featured in Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2. Whether he's Geki or Jason to you one thing is clear, this figure is a nearly flawless representation of the character on screen. So check out our full 40 image gallery of this incredible figure and score a chance to win free stuff! Post in this discussion thread, retweet this news post on Twitter, and "Like" this story on our Facebook for your chance to win the Red Prize!

Holy crap he looks better here than he does in my hands. :lol
so beautiful ;_;
Imagine the reaction of 90's kids if they saw this. :lol
Excellent figure. |
This figure looks amazing! It's disappointing that show accuracy wasn't a priority back when the original figures were released. But now we get this, so I don't mind :D
oh man do I want this guy.
Can't believe I never saw the battle bike before. Gotta get myself one of those.

While I'm more interested in a white ranger when it comes to MMPR Figuarts, gotta love how this guy looks. It is just about perfect.
This will make me very happy to have on my bookshelf
Den-O! Stop taking pics that make me want the figures you take pictures of :lol. Out of the Zyurangers, I only wanted to get Dragon Ranger. This just keeps pulling me into getting Tyranno :lol
I gotta get Tyranno Red and Ryuu Ranger at some point soon.I gotta keep my Red collection up to date.
Still my favorite Red Ranger!
Very very nice!
It amazes me that even after all these years MMPR/Zyu Red has the best design out of all three T-Rex Rangers.
Hopefully the rest of the team will come by shortly. |
It looks good with the Battle Bike. Thank god no one hear has bitched about the visor. So many ppl on Rangerboard complained about it.

can not wait to have him...
Man, I'm used to seeing the Figuarts for series before they're adapted, or Figuarts of series that came before Zyuranger, but there's just something weird in the nicest way about seeing an original Power Ranger that *isn't* jacked like a bodybuilder :lol
Great pictures! |
The only issues I have with him are lack of a variety of hands. Why they chose to make different hands to hold the blade blaster and thunder slinger with the power sword I don't know, but he could have benefited from just a few more hands. Still my favorite SH figuart next to Gokai Red, I repose him in a new way almost every day.
I never did like the American PR figures cuz of the roided out poportions...which is why I love the s.h. figuarts line lol
Glad I got mine. Still wish they were in a larger scale though.
I almost want to get that, it looks rather amazing.
Oh wow! I need to get one of those bikes!
I wish I could pose mine half as good as this.
Looks awesome
Am I the only one who thinks that the Thunder Slinger just looks weird? It just looks a lot weirder in that small of a form then it already does in the show/s.
I'm still not quite sure why I passed on him. I let the Green Ranger be my first Sentai SHF and Red is a wonderful complement to him.
Also had no idea those bikes existed until you started posting about them a while back... Gotta say, he looks surprisingly good on it. |
This has been the version I've been waiting 20 years for!
I've no attachment to Zyuranger or MMPR, so this is probably the version I'd get for the Powerful Ranger bits.

Tyranno Ranger at Amiami, 2570 yen Dragn Ranger at Amiami, 2570 yen The Japanese releases will include the Powerful Rangers parts and be in the original packaging. If you want the US version in 20th anniversary style packaging without the extra parts then go here Red Ranger at BBTS, $42.99 Green Ranger at BBTS, $42.99 It's almost a wash on price but I always prefer the Japanese release for the extra accessories. If you're more into Power Rangers than Sentai though BBTS is the perfect option. |
This looks wonderful.
This looks amazing!
Awesome.
Hi I'm new here, the contest got me to finally sign up!

Awesome photos. I love having these figures. They're so much fun. Especially with the Powerful Ranger bits. You can make them do whacky whacky things and it'll still make sense.
