December Reissues: Figuarts Kamen Rider G3-X & Ultra-Act Ultra Father
 

Of course the month isn't complete without a few old favourites, and so December will see reissues of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider G3-X and Ultra-Act Ultra Father.

G3-X will be priced 3360 yen, while Ultra Father is the more expensive cost of 5040 yen.

G3-X was always such a fun figure for arsenal alone.

Father Of Ultra still rocks, but unfortunately I still have to pass on him... he'd be a releaser cue the likes of which I don't even want to consider!

I remember almost buying G3-X some other time, so it's quite cool that he's getting a reissue. That said... Where's the Knight reissue!?

I remember G3X was one of those Figuarts that you could find pretty much everywhere for cheap…then one day he just vanished. Makes me wish I picked up him up when I had the chance too and I just might.

G3 is one of my favrioute secondary riders. Yeah, he got his ass handed him a whole lot but Hikawa tries and he always got back up no matter what.

G3-X is pretty awesome with all his weapons; I got one off Mandarake a month or so ago (?) and though I paid more at the time than this will cost, it's a great figure so if you want one, go get it.

Good news for those who missed on Father earlier this year, he's also really cool. Interesting that they'd release him so soon after he came out a few months ago. Maybe they can rerelease Zoffy yet again for those that have missed out on him.

Yeah, really. It doesn't apply to me anymore since I just snagged one, but Knight could still really use a rerelease. Awesome figure.

Don't forget, Hikawa actually was the one to beat the shit out of G4 in the Agito movie :lol. All that aside, it's good to see another Agito figure get a reboot :).

You can replace G3X with Amazon and it'll still be true. I am not paying $60+ for a figure that was 1/3 of that price once. So I will be waiting for the reissue of Amazon until it's true. As for G3X, I don't watch the show that KR is in, but I may buy it if Bluefin ports it to US.

I remember I planned on G3-X being my first Figuart, but he cost a bit too much so I opted for G3 instead.
With this reissue, I may be able to amend this... :D

there is also UA Glenfire reissue in Jan and he will be going up at the same time as the December stuff.

I got G3-X day one and while he's not my favorite SHF, I do enjoy him immensely. Fantastic figure, and with a useful array of hands unlike the more limited selection of G4. I'll never forgive G4 for not including the hand shown in promotional photos and the box that would've been perfect to hold his missile launcher.

I never preordered Ultra Father, though I've had opportunities, so I can't say I'm "missing" him, but maybe if I had a lot of money post-NYCC or something, I'd get him simply to complete my M-78 family. At this point I'm not even certain I want to get Taro.

The Glenfire announcement comes too late to be able to grab one at a decent price to have had Seki sign at Otakon, but I'll probably get it to assemble Ultimate Force Zero now.

Which Showa Ultra-Acts are you missing anyway? Father obviously, you already said Zoffy, I don't think you secured Seven anywhere...

I have leads on Ultra Seven. But I do need Zoffy & Andro Melos, Jack, Father, and a few others.

A releaser cue is something which acts as a psychological "go ahead" for some other action. For example, say you go into the post office one day and the postmaster has placed a bright orange flyer in everyone's PO Box. You walk down to your PO box and you see a few of the orange flyers on the floor. You're much more likely just to toss the flyer on the floor yourself now; the action has been "released" thanks to the releaser cue of the other flyers on the floor. (Psychology 201 still paying off after all these years.)

In my case, Father of Ultra would be a releaser cue to buy a LOT more Ultra-Acts than I currently have budgeted for. Right now I am only getting those who had their own shows, not secondary or supporting characters. But if I buy Father, I strongly suspect that the floodgates will open, and I'll spend a lot more money than I should on Ultras!
