I havent seen the full episode yet, but i saw a clip of the transformation. And i LOVE it! Really hope they put out a figuarts of it.

Excellent!

New opening video, new insert theme, new power up. Very awesome. Carnival is just as ridiculously OP as I'd hoped. A very fun and wild power up to say the least. My only complaint this week may be that Yayoi didn't do much. Out of suit sure but she didn't become violet at all. I know she's not a regular but it would just make sense that when she does appear she should get some more action.

Aww, I was kinda hoping for a new character song on Mini Album 3, seems unlikely now.
Though, I am much more likely to like Carnival's song than I am a new character song.

I think Chaos might be horrible at his job if he just now figured out that killing Torin would piss people off.

Absolutely loved this episode. The music alone just keeps getting better and better. I don't know if that was Endorf's theme or what that song was that played twice but I absolutely loved it as battle music.
And Carnival.. Those pictures did not do that suit justice. It looked beautiful in action, and I need me a MiniTyra :lol I Just do. .. Or a mini Stegochi!

Sentai's Theory on Daigo's Father!

I think there's two choices in this. His father is either going to end up being Lord Chaos in a Star Wars "I am Your Father" moment, or he's going to end up being Torin. Both choices are awesome. But... If you look carefully at the trailer for next week, you can see black and silver around his neck matching Chaos' costume/armor. So I think they're going Star Wars with this.

I also enjoyed seeing Daigo with his shirt off.

My own theory w/ Torin that explains his and Chaos' animosity is that Torin is actually a Deboss himself, albeit one who went rogue. This would also help explain his sixth sense re: being able to detect when they're around.

I am loving that theory, and it would explain so much.

That was ok, solid but not outstanding. Gabutyra took the spotlight this week and Daigo finally got carnival, I still don't care much about it.
Did anybody else find Daigo shirtless scene more funny than awesome? :lol

Eh, that didn't do much for me. Its disappointing to see that the new intro was in reality about 15 seconds of new footage, and as I fully expected I hated everything from the shirt rip onwards. Oh well.

That said, I can't say no to a good civilian fight.

I know it's normal for the Red ranger to get a power up no one else gets, but will there be a plausible explanation (Or any explanation whatsoever) for why none of the other Rangers will be getting the 1+ battery?

There is one already. The +1 battery, as Yayoi said, is the manifestation of Gabutyra's intense wishes to shrink down and fight beside Daigo. Because of the strong bond they share.

The battery was created before Yayoi knew of Gabutyra's feelings. It's not explaining why they can't create another 1+ battery for anyone else.

The battery was created by Gabutyra's people, the spirits of his people, to aid Kyoryu Red in battle. Whether or not it had anything to do with Gabutyra's feelings is irrelevant. Initially they knew it was a manifestation of the Kyoryu spirits to help Daigo and upon figuring out how it works they know that can only function properly when used with Gabutyra, it's meant for him.

I'm sure they could create a battery but if the kyoryu spirits don't have the same thing in mind for the other Kyoryugers then it doesn't matter. Surely they wouldn't do it for 6 heroes let alone the eventual full team of 10 :lol

=P This being said. Great episode. Lots of out-o'-suit action which I really dug.

Carnival. I could go either way with. But, I dig it none-the-less.

That might be true for Power Rangers, but off the top of my head the only Red-only power up that's come before this I can think of is Hyper Shinken Red.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I just remembered Abaranger and (technically) Zyuranger. Must be a dino-series thing :p

Plus, if you see the scans from that Hobby whatever, he's going to be able to use the other Voltasaurs! Carnival Red Kung Fu! VAMOLA!

It's pretty forgettable, but ShinkenGreen did become Hyper ShinkenGreen in a late episode and ShinkenGold became Hyper ShinkenGold in the special episode.

Still, out of the seven or so times Hyper was used, only two weren't Red, so I guess it's mostly Red exclusive.

I remembered Gold but decided to discount since it was from the special, but I completely forgot about Green using it!

Love the episode. The shirtless Daigo was aimed at teen girls / gay guys (IMO of course) so it's odd to see so much of it in a children show. Nevertheless the henshin sequence was cool as heck and I love the action scenes between Carnival and that Ninja (am I the only one disappointed to see that Deboss gone so soon? He was all kinds of cool with his Ninja arts)

It's always nice to see Kyoryugers fighting as civilians. It shows how brave they really are when they are willing to go into battle without any regard for their bodies.

You can clearly see Amy imitating Utchy when he was fooling Endorf with his henshin gestures. Another reason why I love her so much. :)

The show is picking up steam after 3-4 episodes that focused too much on Daigo. As long the writers spread the love around between all the characters (even Yayoi! I want to see more of her) this show will be the BEST SENTAI SHOW EVER!!

Gekiranger is the greatest Sentai ever. There hasn't been any series to come close yet. Kyoryu most certainly can't measure up...

I would probably have to agree with you. The mecha aside it probably is the best sentai I've ever seen. Though for my personal tastes Gaoranger, Goseiger, Boukenger, and Dekaranger are incredibly close too.

I've yet to see Gao or finish Bouken, but I'll agree on Deka. Gosei is only in my top 5 because I haven't seen very many Sentai.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone who like Kyoryu's parade, but I'm just not having the same amount of fun I've had with the likes of Geki or Deka.
However, I've made it 27 episodes into Kyoryu, so it can definitely say that it's a hell of a lot more interesting than Shinken (~15-20 episodes) or Sun Vulcan (3 episodes), so it has that going for it, at least.
