1 Attachment(s)
The massive "Power Rangers Legacy: The First 20 Years" DVD boxset at last has a price tag and release window!!
This wonderful 98-disc Shout! Factory release will be available starting Tuesday, September 10th with orders opening at 1pm Eastern Standard Time. The price is a steep $650 USD but free shipping is available to continental US buyers (sadly the set will NOT be available for those outside the United States). The set is limited to only 2000 units, so any interested buyers should set their calendars for next Tuesday and check Shout! Factory's main site when the time comes! Thanks to member FuryDiamond for the heads-up! |
Power Rangers Legacy: The First 20 Years DVD Collection Price and Preorder Date

Price: $650 Preorder Date: Sept 10 |
no.

Six bills…yeah I knew this was going to be expensive.
|
Oh, only $150 less than what I expect.
I'll pass. |
SWEET GIBBLY GIBBLETS!!!!! I hope they didn't make too many of those....cause I'd be astounded if they sold more than 50.

Wow that price is ridiculous

The already released Seasons 1-7 boxset had a starting price of 220, which breaks down to $32 a season (roughly). 32 times 20 seasons = 640. Plus the extremely limited run and the bonus features that will only apply to this set... $650 is a pretty reasonable price. |
I'll just buy the 3rd & 4th Mega sets.
|
So this box set is going to have everything from the last 20 years right?
I wonder if this means the movies will be included too. |

Maybe it's the staggered, multiple releases that don't force me to spend half a grand. |

I would love to get this but not right now. It's a great deal.
|
650 dollars just to watch Time Force is a little much...

It's hardly arrogance. In fact I don't think you know what that means. Now assuming the worst of a company because of distribution issues likely out of their control... |

Of course getting these things from, say, someone on here wouldn't be hard. Even if it's nothing to do with Toku. |

Then again I have the first 2 box-sets and am ordering the 3rd, so it might be a redundant waste of money for me. |
Considering that there's gonna be at least 765 episodes on this set, plus a bunch of extras, $650 is actually a steal for this set. Its a lot to buy in one shot, but the price per episode is honestly quite cheap.

Dafaq. Is my answer to that price, dafaq. Six Hundred and Fifty? Yea, because there's nothing better I could spend that on. Like Rent.
For the love of Christ Shout Factory, What Dafaq. |

all in all this a ludicrously priced and ballsy release for such a 'small' company that cant even be bothered to release all of beetleborgs or vr troopers. |
I just really wish theyd make individual seasons, the ONLY ones Id buy are Jungle Fury and RPM, maybe Dino Thunder and Ninja Storm, but the first two I would gladly buy.

But since Saban or whatever seem to want to make it impossible for me to own anything, torrenting it is. You don't want my money, fine with me. |
We don't even get Netflix in Australia, ugh.
Anyway, I doubt this won't be something of a success. It's a pretty limited run and I'm sure there are at least 2000 people who know about this and want it in the US. |
Yeah we have to pay for hacks to get the US Netflix in the UK which doubles the price and can make it quite costly unless you use that service singularly.
|
No one told you to live there :lol
I kid. I know not everyone has Netflix. But I'd rather pay 8 bucks a month for that, and watch what episodes I want, then shell out 650 bucks for that thing. |

The problem with Netflix is the shifting titles...
Anyway, I'm too poor to afford one of these :lol |
