Power Rangers Super Megaforce and Legacy Toy Listings
 

Tokunation board member and toy super sleuth Raz dropped by to share some information he found about the forthcoming Power Rangers Super Megaforce and 20th Anniversary Legacy toys in Toys R Us and Target stores.

In the Toys R Us systems the following Super Megaforce items were listed:

Those last two items are unconfirmed to be related to Super Megaforce, however they are Toys R Us exclusives. Meanwhile Target's system featured 25 4" Super Megaforce figures listed, as well as 4-key multipacks, unknown blind bags (possibly ranger keys) listed at $2.99 and another 6 figure pack listed at $19.99

As far as Anniversary items goes there were these two items listed in Toys R Us:

As this would be a rather hefty price tag for the announced Legacy Dragonzord people are speculating that it could be the previously revealed Jumbo Megazord. However as the Dragon Dagger is also commanding this high price its anyone's guess right now.

Seriously, $80 for the dragon dagger? That seems pretty steep when all the other legacy items were $60. I'm guessing it's to cut the scalper's profits but it still stinks.

That Dragon Dagger had better be able to summon a Dragonzord for that price.

Either that, or it's made almost completely out of metal and in 1:1 scale with the prop on the show, in addition to having show-accurate sounds.

They still need to get the Super Megaforce cards out so i don't think so.

Good question. What about Dragonzord?

Target has these in their system. Oddly enough, they switch dpci numbers on the figures from the one they have used from at least MMPR 2010. such a change makes me think these new ones are special and may come with keys.

There is a new Legacy Megazord listing for 79.99 but they also added a new legacy megazord listing recently that just went to tru. My guess is the recent new one is dragonzord and the one I found today is that jumbo one from sdcc. Just guesses.

In early 2013, the Legacy Megazord had a Bandai number of 96631

Last month, they released the same Legacy Megazord, with altered packaging to remove mentions of Nick and Viacom at an increased price of $69.99 under Bandai number 96671

I found this listing today, a third Legacy Megazord listing:

The Super Megaforce Pallet at TRU is $1867.36

Key Multi Packs have a shelf space of 12 at TRU.

Target has 4 Key Multi Packs in their system.

Target also has 25 Super Megaforce 4" Figures in their system.

I cannot identify yet what they are.

I also found two more items in the Target system:

I tried the Blind Pack UPC at TRU to see if I could identify whether it was for mini figures or keys. It does not share the same DPCI as the Mini Figures. TRU did not have the blind pack in their system, so I couldn't get more information on it. The Figure 6 pack also does not share DPCI's with anything from Megaforce or before. These are new DPCI's.

25! Past rangers maybe? If bandai gives us 4" Red Fury figures I'll be very pleased.

Lets see we got the 6 Rangers and Maybe Robo knight plus the 11 guest rangers for the Mega war and Jungle fury red.

Keep in mind Megaforce has 25+ basic figures not including the Ultra Metallic limited edition figures.

If it's seriously $80 for the jumbo megazord then I wish bandai the best of luck with that really stupid idea. If other companies can pump out 3 feet tall Darth Vaders, Batmen, and Supermen for $30 then charging $80 for a 2 foot tall hunk of hollow plastic should be considered theft.

Well i guess ill be hunting any operation overdrive keys since i cant afford thieir proper boukenger counterparts.

I'll admit I was also baffled by the $80 price tag on the Dragon Dagger but Bandai knows we'll buy it regardless. It shouldn't require any more number of sound effects than the Power Morpher, and I doubt they're making the blade die cast but no one knows anymore about the final product. Like I said though, green ranger? more moula.

I'm actually hoping we get more stuff like the Megaforce Tokyo Vinyls, I'd love to have one in Super Megaforce/Gokaiger style.

I found 14 listings for Key Multi Packs in the TRU system.

$80 is way out of my price range for the Dragonzord.

Looks like I'm gonna need to start hoarding TRU coupons...

Where does one acquire these coupons?

Inside junk mail that most people throw out immediately.

I must now start studying every detail of my junk mail!

So if that is Dragonzord, it may not be that bad. Yeah $80's a little steep. But it's a bit better then some of the outrageous prices for the original MMPR one, and not to mention an original Japan one.
