Possible S.H. Figuarts Juukou B-Fighter/Big Bad Beetleborgs?!
 

Put this one in the rumor column for now. Bluefin's twitter account just posted the following:
What this possibly means is that Bandai Tamashii is looking at producing Juukou B-Fighter or even B-Fighter Kabuto figuarts. If that's the case then fans in the US could definitely expect to see Big Bad Beetleborgs/Metallix releases of these figuarts! Bluefin wants to hear it from fans that they're ready for B-Fighter/Beetleborgs figuarts! Make your interest known by posting on Bluefin's twitter and facebook pages. Let's get it together people!

Now all we need is FIguarts Mystic Knights for American Super Hero Time.

Don't even joke man. Mystic Knights is by far my favorite, non-JP toku, ever. Of everything we ever had over here it was by far the most entertaining.

And yet we can't get a stream of it on Netflix or a DVD release.


I don't own any SHFs, but if they start making making Beetleborgs that may need to change...

sadly fans can't even bring themselves to support dvds, who to say they'd buy figuarts?

In all honesty, I think physical figures would be the best chance we'd have concerning Beetleborg support.

DVDs have alot of compitition though. Beetleborgs was available on Netflix long before it came to DVD. Figuarts are different. And Metal Fighters is making a comeback in Japan, so it's more likely we'll see them.

Since when? The Gavan movie apparently bombed and the B-Fighters had a 30 second cameo in Super Hero Taisen Z. For a comeback it isn't exactly going well.

if the dvds are not selling, its showing toei and bandai there is not much demand for merchandise, its basic economics

and i notice a lot of people bring up netflix. I hope everyone remembers it will be pulled off netflix after the liscense expires, I want to say in 2015 but I can't find any report to support that claim, though I want to say I've read it

Yea, but DVD still has alot of other compitions. And they've brought stranger things to Figuarts.

Big Bad Beetleborgs has aged like shit, but I'm a sucker for childhood nostalgia as much as the next guy, and my inner child would love these.

I am not interested in these, but I will most definitely hit their Twitter and Facebook to help drum up support. BBB was unwatchable for me, but the suit designs have always been fantastic, and since we have SHF of the Space Sheriffs, these would make sense.

I still want my VR Troopers SHFs! Season 1 VR Troopers are Insta-Buys for me!

I am on the exact same page as you. I hardly remember anything about the show. But I remember liking it as a kid and they looked cool enough.

I had an idea of getting Black Rx , Shaider and Kibaranger and displaying them together as sort of a saban heroes shelf. I wouldn't mind adding at least one Beetleborgs to that display.

Oh I am definitely up for Beetleborg figuarts.

I don't think the show was really all that great, I enjoyed it as a kid. That said, I LOVE the designs and want figures of them something terrible. lol.

The show was downright awful. And I'm sorry if that hurts anyone who was hoping for the release of the final volume. I'd like to see it out as much as an actual fan would, I know I hate being the person with an incomplete collection of anything so I understand.

But if these figures ever get made they will 100% be Juukou/Kabuto figures for me. Even as a kid I didn't really care for Beetleborgs. But I'll buy the hell out of the japanese release of these figures if it helps out US fans.

Yeah, I agree Den-O. For me the figures wouldn't be Beetleborgs at all. I certainly don't want a figure of that silly blue man either. lol...

If these end up being Japanese Web Exclusives only I'll just have to budget accordingly so I can have them preordered as soon as they hit places Nippon-Yasan and BIJ.

The show itself wasn't great, but, the design of the beetleborgs were really cool.

I really hope this happens, one of my favourite toy in my childhood was the blue Beetlegorg figure.

I personally could care less how they're marketed. I just love the designs, and would kill to see them in figuarts form. But if they get marketed over here as BBB, I demand a Figuarts Zero of Flubber.

About how I feel. The show was terrible, and I can respect that. The suits are AWESOME and would make stellar Figuarts if they got a metallic or chrome finish like the Beetleborg toys I had as a kid but never knew what a Beetleborg was.

No seriously, I'm generally a regular chrome hater on posable action figures because it chips and looks cheap at times or mucks up the sculpted detail, (SDCC Metroplex, you gore your face shaving again?) but you have to try to make me hate coloure chrome. Transmetals were the bomb to me as a kid and still today, and I loved how the Beetleborgs were coloured chrome with dark highlights. I remember wishing Power Rangers looked that cool.

Coloured chrome over flat surfaces with tech detail is the perfect middle ground, and that's what I remember about the Big Bad BettleBoyoyoyoys.

I know them more as B-Fighter (Beetleborgs . . .wasn't my thing) but they'd made awesome Figuarts. Bandai does really well with making very nice metallic reds and blues without the flaky pitfalls of vac-metallization (witness the awesome paint job of Burning Agito) so they'd look great.

That said, of course Black Beet would be a dodeca-secret Web Exclusive and probably coast a whole kidney. C'est la vie.

Maybe you've never seen it and never will but I've seen the raws for B-Fighter and they are vastly better than Beetleborgs. So it's pretty fair to assume there are alot of people like myself who'd appreciate these thing as B-Fighters well before Beetleborgs. And yes, I will continue to treat them as the B-Fighter figures they are/will be when they're released. I'd be happy to forget Beetleborgs ever happened but I recognize there are plenty of people who like it.

I liked Beetleborgs :( Sure it didn't fare as well on a recent viewing but I still have much more of fondness for it than the other crap Saban was churning out at the time beside Power Rangers.

Personally I think VR Troopers has fared the best, with a direct focus on the action and just the general insanity of smashing like six toku shows together.

To be honest, I never liked VR Troopers to begin with :lol

I'll rewatch it one day to give it a fair shot, but my childhood bias and lack of complete DVD volumes is putting it off until the very end.

Man I loved all these shows as a kid, I was probably a bigger toku fan as a kid than I am now.

It does kinda blow how hard it is to actually see these shows though. There is always torrents at least.

Haven't tried to watch raws much in the past have you? It's not that hard to generally pick up the plot when you can see the action scenes on top of some heart left acting. Even without subtitles those shows are very enjoyable.
