DX Time Robo Gallery
38 Attachment(s)
It's time for Time Force!
Tokunation continues a year long retrospective for Power Rangers 20th Anniversary and this month we take a look back at Power Rangers Time Force! In this installment we're taking a look at the DX Time Robo from Mirai Sentai Timeranger, or as US fans would know it the Time Force Megazord! Time Robo consists of 5 separate Time Jets, the central chest component and 2 sets of twin vehicles with minor cosmetic differences. The advantage of the blue & Green Jets being identical in transformation, as well as pink & yellow, is that this allows Time Robo to pull off 2 unique robot modes. Time Robo Alpha (red) and Time Robo Beta (blue)! And as another added bonus on top of two robot modes the Time Jets can join into the giant Time Jet Gamma! Time Robo is significant for being the final DX Sentai robo to feature foam inserts for packaging. Also of note is that the Timerobo is the final DX robo to feature a parts sprue which required cutting to assemble an accessory, in this case the chrome components of the Space-Time Sword. Check in later this week to catch our full galleries of the DX Time Shadow and DX Providas Base! Want TokuNation.com updates on the go? "Like" us on Facebook and follow us @tokunation on Twitter!! |
TIMERANGER MIRAIKARA!
I love timeranger and time force... can you tell? :D Well really I like anything with time travel, like Madoka Magica, that has time travel also witches... is there a sentai with witches in it? Magiranger? That would be cool if it did... wait, what were we talking about again? |

While both shows are timeless, I really don't like the main Megazord. I think it has to do with the lack of pink, yellow and green outside of the separated Time Fliers. |
I really like that it gives off a uniform color scheme. I kind of like more monochromatic robos like this and Galaxy Mega.
|
Oh man that looks sweet.

One of the best. So cool.

I literally don't have a sports fan bone in my whole body :p
My wife however does like college basketball .... |
I had this toy. It was an awesome figure. I found it rather funny how high Blue/Beta/Whatever's shoulders shot up, but otherwise, it was a great figure.
However, I actually found the individual jets to be rather boring. I personally preferred to, when not combined, to keep them in their Gamma jet or whatever. It just looked a lot better. On the whole, I'm not a big fan of it's primary silver color scheme and general lack of colors, but I loved Time Force enough to overlook it. |
This is still one of my favorite Megazords, I mean the thing come in 4 modes and can still combine with another zord, be it kindof just stands in it. Still good show good zords in my book

Remains one of the most singularly boring super robots of the entire series. I'm sure the toy is fun, because super robot toys are pretty universally fun to play with, but it's not even remotely interesting to me.

Credit where its due though, this toy looks like a lot of fun. |
I knew we'd get to Time Force eventually.

I really need the sword for this Megazord if anyone can help me out.

That BlueMode looks so much better on screen than it does on the toy, also doesn't help that the guns are sold sepretaly.

Awesome gallery!!
I got this guy for an absolutely wonderful price about a month back (with Time Flyer) and I love him. The alt-modes individually aren't extremely exciting (they're all just jets, but nowhere near as lame as the Dekawings) but the combining is just awesome. The Gamma mode looks absolutely epic and I love that its a bit of a Jetman homage. In Alpha mode, the all-red is a bit jarring at first, but the fact that it has too very visually distinct that also have completely different colours is just amazing. Beta definitely isn't as great as Alpha, but just the transformation between the two is fun and I love having so many modes in one set of toys. My only complaint is how scary I find Beta. He's got so much die-cast and only very thin legs. Part of me is scared those tiny legs can't support all that die-cast on top for long periods of time. Sort of the same issue with the arms when holding the Time Flyer gun, because they're very small arms and the Time Flyer is mostly die-cast. All in all, one of my favourite Sentai mecha ever. It's a bit sad that V-Rex and Time Shadow aren't really fantastic in my eyes and I have seen very little of the Providus Base (looking forward to that gallery), but this guy is made of win. Also, the playability with the scaled Time Ranger figures that comes with the Time Flyer is awesome. The Jets all have seats in their cock-pits that the TimeRangers fit into and its just awesome fun. I know Gaoranger had something similar to the Time Flyer in Soul bird. Could the Gaoranger's also go into their mecha? |

At least toy-wise, Gaoranger's animals had nowhere for figures. Maybe they'd fit in old Transformer G1 toys that had cockpits? I should break out my old dinobots and see... hmm |
The Timerangers looka an awful lot like the MMPRs [:lol]

What version of this figure do I have?
A while ago I picked up a loose complete Time Force Megazord offa eBay. I know in the US there were 2 versions made, because I own both. The problem is that for a short while when I picked up a boxed Time Robo in a lot and compared it to what I thought was a US ver.2, they were identical! Does anyone know if the US ver.2 is exactly identical to Time Robo or are the different in some way and I'm actually sitting on a Time Robo? |
