Yes, I was little confused when I saw that. It says Last Laugh in guide and on Power Rangers Facebook. Next week is Dream Snatcher.

Poor. Know why? I discovered today while watching this episode how lazy Saban is. It's getting to the point of being inexcusable.

Anyway, are you talking about the shot of the morpher right at the beginning where it's just a portion of arm you can see?

Yup. And it's clearly the white and red jacket of Alata, and another example of Saban laziness.

If you're going to straight adapt Goseiger, which is fine, how about putting in some effort.

Seriously. You said yourself, Saban, that this is the most expensive season ever. And I don't see it unless you spent it all on a yacht.

Eh, I agree that this isn't turning out to be the "super expensive" season it was made out to be but you're making a mountain out of a molehill here.

Its 5 seconds in an opening. The arm isn't the focus of the shot, it was thrown in there to look cool (which it does). 90% of kids won't know who Alata is and most won't care either, you only know because you've watched Goseiger numerous times over.

If it was in the show then fair enough, but every season of Power Rangers has probably pulled some sort of shot like this somewhere.

I think the expensive part is going to come from Super Megaforce, mostly the legendary war, unless of course they are going to blow it all in a parachuting scene. :P

It still irks me because there's no excuse for it. They had, had, by that time to have atleast the jacket Troy wears. So they didn't even need Troy, just throw someone in his Jacket and do the scene for the opening. Instead they took stock footage of Alata using the Tensouder. It's unneccasarily lazy.. even for Saban.

What does exactly constitute "too lazy" for Saban? :eyebrow

Touche, Mister Algo, Touche :lol And maybe I am making to much out of this.. It just really makes me angry when all he says is how much money he spent on this season, and then continues to give us this.

Japanese Cards, Alata in the Opening, mostly Stock Goseiger footage for the battles. And the one thing he did change is one thing no one wanted him to change! Gosei Knight. ... Saban has become the DiEnd to my Super Hero Taisen.

You mean a giant middle figure to the audience? Yeah that makes sense

Couple of thoughts on the episode as I watch:

- *sigh* Gia, it is possible to talk and smile at the same time you know. Every time she turned around to speak to Noah it looked as if she was about to rip his head off.
- Malkor's never seen Vrak smile? His face is permanently affixed in a subtle smile :lol
- Oh it's...Bigs and Bluefur? I kinda forgot they existed for a while.
- Robo Knight, you are both amazing and unintentionally hilarious
- Okay Troy all is forgiven. Please go back to being stoic and never do those faces again.
- Farts? *Sigh* Are farts in with Sentai/Power Rangers this year?


Eh, it was alright I guess. Not outright poor but certainly nothing special.

I still don't know how its lazy, its called saban using the footage they have, why film a new scene when they can just use footage they already have?

hell in MMPR there's a plain shot of mammothranger fighting unmorphed and they just explain it away as a warrior from a different planet, I really don't understand how its lazy, its moreso they are using footage smartly

I agree Noah, those 'street comics' or whatever the fuck they are weren't funny, those jokes were just stupid, the bad kind of stupid. And as if Troy can criticise anyone with his emotional range akin to that of a toaster. I like how the show kinda...sorta...tried to do some character moments, but man the acting in this show is atrocious and makes the whole thing feel cheap and amateurish.

The villain of this week was insanely fucking annoying. But I've started to notice in a lot of toku, that the goofier the villain, the better they seem to do. If only the actual badass villains achieved as much as the goofy monsters seem to. Although why would he just wait for them to regroup and discuss a plan? What a fucking moron.

"No need to chase him, when you have weapons to stop him." Roboknight is a fucking boss. Seriously, if it wasn't for him, I would have probably rated this a flat out bad. It's easily the worst episode of Megaforce yet. Hell, I might have even hated the whole season, if it wasn't for him, who is fast turning into one of my all time favourite sixths.

Because my OCD saw it and freaked out inside my mind for a few hours.

I kinda loved this episode, owing to the fact that it was so aggressively unfunny, it looped back on itself and become hysterical.

I'm just throwing this out here. Worst Power Rangers show ever, and re-spawning of Saban has easily made Operation Overdrive seem like a legitimate operation with legitimate actors, and plot.

Screw this show, and screw it for attempting to hype me.

It succeeded in hyping me up. But, overall as a show and ranger show it is a failure. There is more emotional range from Gosei, then there is from the entire cast.

Fuck this show. Fuck Saban. We are done here.

Although I don't agree 100% I do agree that Neo Saban is a low point in the franchise. Some of the early Power Rangers stuff under his name may seem a little hokey now, but at least they tried, this shit is just...terrible, in absolutely every sense. Limp wristed, amateurish, cheap and shit.

It's what I've always called it, mainly because Saban of the 90s and Neo Saban may as well be two entirely separate franchises. A lot of the 90s stuff may be bad in reality, and full of Saban's greed, but at least in those days he tried to tell original stories, with original characters and forge a unique continuity.

Neo Saban just slaps as much stock footage together as he can, with as little new footage as he can, to focus entirely on his greed. Characters and story mean nothing to him any more, any story that makes it across was just stuff he couldn't edit out of the fight footage.

Okay. I watched the episode again, after fast-forwarding the begining to I didn't get distracted by the opening again, and I have some thoughts.

Firstly, Noah was right. Even for a Saban show, even for a kids show, those jokes were old and godaweful. Gia laughed so I'm rethinking this crush. RoboKnight, yes RoboKnight, came alive in this episode. To the point I may stop hating him.
The show, I think, has finally hit the stride. And maybe it'll just get better from here.

I'm pretty sure the episode Creepox died was when the show hit its high point, it's pretty much been all downhill since.

I disagree, this episode notwithstanding the show has gotten better since the introduction of Roboknight.

It's been pretty decent since it returned, minus this episode, of course. But most of the first nine or so episodes were garbage, minus the Creepox one and Prince Takes Knight.

I agree with that...well, to the extent of the show getting better BECAUSE of Robo Knight, who is now my favorite character in the show. Maybe it's because he's a better actor than the humans at times. :p
