Let's Watch Wednesdays Week 2 Kamen Rider Blade 4-6
BOARD unsealed the Undead?! The Chief has been discovered, in the hands of Tachibana! Whose side is Chalice on? Can Blade count Chalice, or even Garren, as allies? Let's Watch Blade 4-6! |
I like Kenzaki. He's brash, he's hotheaded, and he doesn't get along with everyone. He's fun because he gets angry, but he has elements of the later main characters that I like, most notably in that he doesn't fight alone because he's some kind of "Lone wolf who doesn't have time for anyone else" dull ass character, but because he's just alone. He wants to make friends, and he wants to have allies.
Anyway, only got to watch 4. I'll post thoughts on 5 and 6 when I get around to them later today. |
Just finished the episodes earlier. 4 was alright and so was 5 but that one guy in episode 6 with the freaky powers really threw me off.

Crap, I never did watch Episode 3...

4-
Huh, so Tachibana is getting royally screwed, but why did he eat a piece of that puzzle? :lol Kenzaki is really the type of guy to fight even though he has no idea whats going on, and apperantly he never had friends before Kotaro. |

Blade is getting hella better. We find out Tachibana's sickness ia in his head, the stakes are raised once the president disappears and Kenzaki is captured and Kenzaki figures out Hajime is Chalice. I love this show far, no plotless boring BS that introduces the chracters in the un fitting biepisodic format. |

I like Tachibana's problem being all in his head. It makes things more interesting. It makes Garren think there's a sense of urgency that he needs to fulfill to survive.
And coming off Fourze not being able to figure out who Meteor is for, like, 15 straight episodes, it's nice to see Kenzaki piece together who Chalice is rather quickly :lol |
So ep.5-
They are finally starting to find out who Chalice is. (Still cant memorize names.) But I am liking the ongoing plot of the series instead of the 2 arc style. Kinda glad Gaim is starting that back now. |
So my thoughts on this trio of episodes. Seeing a body burn is rather crazy, even if it was just a trick. As stated earlier, I was glad Kenzaki made the connection that Hajime is Chalice. Tachibana's suffering being psychosomatic is interesting, because oftern draw backs are physical not mental. And we have some high ranking Undead with a military strike force. This should get interesting.

6-
So apperantly some government organizatiom is out to stop the Riders? Chalice is finally found out but apperantly its not that big of a deal. |
I can't wait to see what happens next.

Who are these army guys? Why do they want Blade? What was happening in the teaser for episode 7? Tachibana's fear-sickness is actually really interesting, he told Kenzaki that the Rider System is slowly killing him and will eventually kill Kenzaki. And yet Kenzaki's love of being the hero and using his Buckle to save lives is not dangerous in the slightest. I think I missed it, but does Kenzaki know that he's not going to die from his henshins? And I don't know who Chalice is. I mean, I know he's Hajime, but he's so shadowy and mysterious and that voice that talks to him about pretending to be human. It's a delight. |
In episode 4, Shiori was worry about Kenzaki before he was heading out to defeat monster, Shiori's face expression totally reminds me of Koyomi from Wizard!
|
God i'm so behind, I wanted to finish faiz before i started blade and i have 10 more episodes in addition to the 6 for let's watch Wednesday, might be another week before i'm all caught up.
|
SO MUCH DRAMA, and unlike Faiz it isn't based all on lack of communication. Can't wait to see what those command guys want and to find out who is the real villein in all this
|
So, I watched episode 4. Yay!
I really like the characters in this series, especially considering Wizard (Haruto and Koyomi especially) |

I am really enjoying this series so far, the change of pace compared with the constant two-parters of Fourze, Wizard etc really does it for me! Liked the amount of backstory we got, but still with a bit of mystery hanging over it. Nice idea, with Tachibana's weakness being completely in his head, looking forward to seeing how that will affect his character in the future. I was surprised that they revealed Chalice's identity so soon, but I'm glad that Kenzaki actually worked it out given the evidence unlike some other riders I could name (looking at you there Gentarou!). And we have a mysterious organization chasing down BOARD members that seems to be controlled by a big-bad... next Wednesday just can't come fast enough!

I may ask this as well in the coming weeks thread, but did anyone collect the cards from the series? I'm curious as to how the cards actually worked in a real game, whether it was like a Magic the Gathering type of thing, or if they were explicitly for use with the various weapons.
I like how the various Undead become a power up instead of just being sealed in. |
The cards fill out a 52 card poker deck.
|
Yeah and wouldn't it be awesome to play 52 card pick up with them? :-p
