DX Sengoku Driver Video Review Online
 

With a mere three days left before the premiere of Kamen Rider Gaim, the time has come once again for toy reviewers to examine the series!

Youtube user akipapa123 gives us an early look at the Sengoku Driver, the device that powers all of Gaim's Riders. The DX Driver comes with two LockSeeds (Orange and Banana) and alternate plates for the Rider who uses it (in this case, Gaim and Baron.)

The DX Sengoku Driver costs 8125 Yen so interested parties should proceed to the nearest import shop! :)

So it is a new gaia memorie format! A few sounds from the driver, but most of the standby and henshin noises come from the lock seed. Cant wait for these!!!

It's also a shame that the different arms/forms jingles either don't exist or aren't that noticeable. Then again nobody has done that as well as OOO's did.

Speaking of Gaia Memories,dropping the blade totally gives off a Fang Memory's tail kind of feeling with the rapid activations.I'm really hoping I can drop the cash for this when it comes out.This looks to be a fun toy.

BTW,does anyone know what it is in the blade or belt that splits open the locks?

I'm fully aware that this pun is tired and overused, but I can't help myself. Baron's sounds are bananas!

No idea. Hope when more reviews come out we'll see how it works. Im guessing there is a switch in the back of the driver that when te knife is pressed, it hits a tab that hits a button in the Lock Seed that makes the panel fly down or unlocks or something.

Do we know who voices the Sengoku Driver? He sounds way familiar.

It's Hochu Otsuka, who also voiced Deneb from Den-O and Jiraiya from Naruto.

Aw yea! I forgot it was Denebs VA doing the stuff for Gaim. :D

But the way the driver sounds are, it doesnt reallt sound like Deneb :lol

I like it! Simple yet effective. I really like that the sounds come from the lock seeds themselves. Very nice Gaia Memory vibe. I don't really get the "game" modes but hopefully more reviews will explore it. Also: I think the lock seeds have a magnet at the top and the sword part has a magnet of the opposing side. I could be wrong (and likely am) but sometimes it felt like the sword didn't even touch the lock seed itself in that review.

Loving the way the Lockseeds were handled, and the fact that the belt still does have sounds on its own, complete with a PURPOSE to the interchangeable plates.

I'm curious how the Lockseeds are affected when placed onto the belt - I assume there's some kind of peg-and-hole system. I hope so cause I kinda want a Banana Lockseed on its own and wanna be able to play that awesome music. :D The only loss is the lack of a "Come on!"

you are right, it's just like wizard driver accept the knife has no electronics in it.

when the knife strikes down without the seeds, the belt reacts with sounds, i dont think the knife touches the seeds, it just scans them on the outside with the magnet and flips down and the sounds activate.

it just gives the illusion that it's cutting them.

Anyone know the ETA of these? I would assume next week sometime.

I think the lock seeds having their own sounds maybe tie in with the mini monster battle rumors.Maybe the lock seeds are how they control them or keep their stats.

It's great to see the driver has sounds of it's own, we got the best of both worlds.

They come out this weekend in Japan to coincide with the premiere. I've already pre-ordered mine. Too bad I have to wait until Christmas to mess with it! I know I know...first world problems.

Kinda like the Sengoku Driver actually it does a lot right out of the gate and the Lock Seeds reminds me of a fusion of the Gaia Memories with the Astro Switches.

Imagine if slicing the eventual Rider Seeds revealed the face of the respectful actor.

That would be amazing, but it probably won't happen. I'll bet they'll put the symbol on the inside and the mask on the outside.

Is Baron's final attack called Banana Scotch? Banana Scorch? Banana Scratch? Whatever it is, sounds cool.

I really want this belt. If I were to get it, I might even use it as a belt. And carry around the Banana Lockseed.

I really hope they don't try and make Baron the "Knight" of this series, because he is hands down the silliest of them, and his attacks don't help.

Ryugen or Zangetsu should've been the "secondary" rider.

All of the sounds are great.

But I love the "Sparking" sounds. :D

i dont understand why bandai doesnt release the weapons and the driver at the same time?
i mean they usually do that, now for the second straight year they are not doing that.

Getting reports from people that live in Japan that the belt is selling out crazy fast, seems like Bandai didn't make enough to meet the initial demand.
