New Rider Lock Seeds Revealed
 

In addition to the Zangetsu and Energy Lock Seed announcements. a new batch of Rider Lock Seeds were announced. Blade, Kiva, Kabuto, and Momotaros will be represented in this wave like previous Lock Seeds, these new Rider ones will also feature LEDs.

I suppose it's necessary for the LED gimmick, but they look too simple unpainted.

Unless these are simply prototypes, in which case ignore everything I said.

At least momo is sorta fruit related

Kiva's design is based on a pumpkin iirc.

Why is momotaros not a repaint of the peach one? I think it would look better

Thing is, we don't even know if the peach Lock seeds are even real. Yes there are scans, but no one can seem to confirm if they're legit or not.

If I bought Kiva and Momotaros, I would send them to someone I know could and was willing to paint them. Because unpainted they look cheap and the LED gimmick does nothing for me.

I like the unique take on the Riders' faces on this gimmick, especially since last two years' looked almost identical.

So I guess no one remembers the OOO and Fourze rider lock seeds we saw way back when Gaim scans were coming out, which were fully painted.

These are probably just prototypes.

They're real, we've seen them with scans of legit items.

I doubt these are prototypes. It seems the LED gimmick plays a large role and painting them would hinder that greatly.

Anyway, since I don't have any intentions on getting a Sengoku driver, I don't have much reason to pick these up since I couldn't use the gimmick.

Really? Do we need rider everything every time a new Rider gimmick comes out? Rider rings. Rider Drivers. Rider coins. Rider switches. And now Rider lock seeds? I

It's a collectible gimmick. It's the bread and butter that Bandai makes their toku money on. This trend isn't gonna end anytime soon.

I wont be bothering with these, but if they make Bandai the money to keep making more Rider, then cool with me.

I hope. When they do these past Rider collectables and don't paint them, they look really lame and cheap.

These have none of the charm that last year's rings had. I wouldn't mind so much if the LED were isolated to the Rider's eyes, but this just looks cheap. If the pictures are an indication, these'll be cast in that crummy semi-transparent off-white plastic that a lot of cheap (read: cereal box) toys are made of. Total pass until I see something better.

I'm kinda hoping the Rider Lock seeds will do more then just call out Rider name then generic noise for all of them...

That could be possible, since they have their own electronics like the Gaia Memories.

The regular seeds have tons of sounds, so possibly these will too.
