And finally to close out our set of galleries for Power Rangers Time Force we have the DX Time Flyer Playset from Mirai Sentai Timeranger!

The Time Flyer set includes the Flyer itself as well as a docking bay/launch pad capable of latching onto the DX Providas Base as well as mini-figures of the main 5 Timerangers. This set was not released in the US though the DX roleplay sized version of the Flyer was. This set is to scale with all of the Time Ranger Robos and Providas Base, creating possibly the most inclusive to scale Sentai environment ever produced! The 5 included mini-figures can ride the Time Flyer or fit into the cockpits of the 5 Time Jets and the team cockpit of the Time Shadow. The Flyer itself can also transform into the Flyer Magnum which can be used by the Time Robo Beta.

The concept of this set would be carried over into the next series, Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger. As you can see in the final comparison shot the Gaoranger mini-figs are slightly larger and their vehicle the DX Soul Bird is significantly bigger than the Time Flyer. Gotta love it when they do something like this. And unlike Dairanger it's actually pretty well integrated. I had no idea Time Shadow had a cockpit too!

That whole assembly, the launcher and all the Mecha, has got to be a shelf killer.

This is a cool set. Wait, next month is Wild Force? ALL the mecha? October can hurry the hell up. :lol

At last the childhood mystery of "Why does Time Shadow have an opening cockpit" has been solved. :lol

I dunno if I even dug out the launcher platform and used it at all when I owned the set.

Also slight variations in seating while Time Robo is in Beta/blue mode: Time Blue & Green stand on the backs of their seats with their heads in that notch in the footrest. Red similarly flips around in his seat to stand upright behind the face of the robot.

Another pointless aside: The cockpit covers on the Black & Gold version are more transparent to the point where you can see the mini-Rangers sitting in their seats when closed. The regular version's covers are dark enough that you can't easily see the Rangers

That's a pretty sweet set for anyone that loved Timeranger.

Well all of Goaranger. I own every Gaoranger DX release that's possible to own. The only thing I don't have is the like $2000 CD Exclusive Gao Panda :(

I ignore that one. Pandas do NOT look like that.

It's on my list of Power Animals to draw. Though I'll have to dig up another to go with it in terms of shoulder design.

That's one of the things I like about Gaoranger/Wild Force: you can tell which two arm animals go together by what the shoulders look like.

I want that Panda, bad. And there's one on Mandarake for over $2500 right now but I'd never in my lifetime spend that much on any one toy, ever. I'd need to win the lottery before doing that. It's the only piece that's eluded me from the entire line.

I think of all the pre-Zyuuranger mecha I could get for that and find it hard to want to spend that money on GaoBear and GaoPolar mashed together.

What about the Black Lion? I think I saw it on Mandarake once for like $300.

Yeah there are several special Gaolion releases I dont have unfortunately. The White one and the Blue/Yellow one. I had planned to spend some absurd money this month on one or both of them, but it appears they're gone now :( There are two blacks that I know of though. The actual Black Gaolion from the Black Gao King set and Gao Leon from the Gao God set, both of which I have.

Ah. I had thought there was a special edition GaoLion Black but I must have confused it with the Black Gao King. I need to find a cheap GaoKing. One of the few series I want to collect all the mecha.

While not as expensive, I'm stuck wanting the black Gao Elephant but not Gao Knight

Since the thread is derailed anyway :lol My TRU GaoKnight set with Black Elephant will be here this week. Now I can display not only a proper GaoKnight because I already have a normal Elephant but now I've also got a complete Gaoking Black Sword & Shield :D

I so want this though it seems pretty rare/expensive. Just wondering if anyone knows whether the time flyer that comes with the non DX Time Robo Beta can be used by the DX?
