these three episodes weren't that bad But that Category Ace Undead is crazy powerful. No wonder they're used for a Rider System. On a side note I'm surprised how much milk Kotaro can drink, any normal human would have been sick of it already. Unless... Kotoro IS an Undead :lol All joking aside these were some good episodes with some good focus on Tachibana and Chalice.

I thought the Hajime & Jin stuff was fairly pointless. I'm a musician with a boat save me! But everything with Garren was pretty interesting. I assume that Isaka is mentally controlling Garren, because even despite the cure I doubt he'd willingly work with the Undead like that.

So we see the results of Isaka's treatment on Tachibana. He can fight fine, but now he has a voice in his head that won't leave him alone. Also the treatment is derived from an extinct plant that apparently will have some negatve side effect eventually going by the voice mail Sayoko was making before Isaka stopped her. I'm surprised that it took two times for Jin to figure out Hajime was Chalice. Granted he ducked his head down the first time and didn't see if firsthand, but it Chalice is standing there one minute and Hajime the next you should be able to add it up. Though all the Aniki stuff is wrecked once he learns that Hajime is an Undead. Also interesting to see that Hajime has to scan a card to return to his human form. And lastly we have an Ace Undead running around that Isaka wants sealed. And Jin's boat had a clover painted on it before it got burned down...hmmmm.

Some interesting episodes. So Garren is being controlled by Isaka, well makes sense I guess as I seem to remember him saying that he could control humans in an earlier episode, so the plant was what cured Garren's fear and it increases his primal instincts, interesting...

Glad they're not trying to shroud the fourth rider in mystery, as it's been pretty clear from the start what with the series motif and everything that there's going to be a fourth rider. So, club/clover and I guess his insect is a spider.

This is exactly what was going through my head as soon as we saw the boat...

Am I the only one who still finds it funny how short and silly everyone looks because of the weird video size? Does anyone whose seen it before know when that's sorted out?

Unfortunately TVN encoded them wrong making them look like that. If you go to a site called Good Drama you can stream the episodes which suffer from this. They dont have any compression issues at all there. The Nihon releases are normal again after 15 or 16 as I recall.

At long last, Garren is cured so no more annoying destruction vision sequences, yay!!!!!! Although that appeared to be one hell of a hang over. :-p

These episodes just keep getting better and better. I loved the plot going on with Hajime where just when you think someone is ready to accept him for who he is, it goes south just from the dude seeing him bleed. I'm not sure what to think about Jin, as he started out likable but in the end turned into a total dbag. BTW, why does his father look familiar? I know I've seen him in a different series but I cannot think what. Haruka, however, is a terrible mother. It seems like her daughter is running off on her own every time she turns her back.

On the other hand, it is nice to see Blade get the final of his main three cards. Still find it weird that it is a Jaguar though instead of a Cheetah, but whatever. The designs for the Undead continue to rock but my god, these episodes seemed to have such a good sized body count. I kind of feel sorry for the chef that is just hanging on the pole dead. It is nice to watch a Kamen Rider series again that does not hide away from actually killing the mass populace, as that is one thing the recent series have been sorely lacking. Sure, story and character development is a must, but it feels more believable (at least as believable as people in bug designed spandex fighting monsters can be) when there are casualties in the process.

Finally, another thing I love about this show is how we are getting locations that are not seen that often at all in KR series. Thank the gods they haven't gone to the standard gravel pit yet. Nevertheless, I still swear that Japan is only about a 10 block radius due to how quickly Kenzaki can get from one area to the battlefield even though it seems to be in a full city and he is sitting down in a rural house.

I look forward to the next batch of episodes as we are getting closer to Tachibana's defining moments along with the birth of Leangle.

What video player are you using? I know on Windows Media Player Nihon's files play without any ratio issues. On Media Player Classic though, the first 16 episodes are really jacked up.

I was thinking that as well. And I think I'm recognizing Isaka and Hirose from some other series as well, but I could be imagining things.

Well, here are my other observations:
Kotaro would drink his own milk if he were a cow. Eeeeewwww.:lol Tachibana now has access to bondage were-Zebra's duplication power with the Gemini Card, but now he's doing that stupid "hiding this important plot point just to be angsty and dramatic" crap that I hate. At least Amane think Jin is annoying and that he really shouldn't become a regular. Hajime's pondering on human emotions and outcasty-ness is woobie-tastic. The Jaguar Undead looks more like a Vampire Biker Chester Cheetah. If the Category Ace Spider Undead will be made into the Clubs-themed Rider, what did the Category Ace Spade Beetle and Diamond Stag Beetle Undead look like? Is Hajime the Category Ace Heart Mantis Undead?
I know Japan has different cultural norms, but yeah, Haruka should really be more worried about her daughter running off. Was she on a Tokusatsu Police Force (excluding Dekaranger and the Space Sheriffs of course) or something?

When they "cure" Tachibana and made him able to fight, there's always side effects! His personality became notorious. I like him better before when he wasn't corrupt inside.

Now more people hating on Hajime. He probably shouldn't have befriend Jin that quick.

After doing some digging both Hirose and Isaka's actors only toku credits are Blade. They seem very familiar but the only info I can find is that Hirose was in an idol group for a while.

How so? It's not just to be angsty and dramatic. He's now working with the villain because he cured his fear, and now he's afraid that if he stops, his weakness will return (And Isaka is in his mind. So that might be a factor). He's not hiding anything to prolong the plot. He's hiding information because, in essence, his weakness, fear, hasn't really been cured.

We see the Beetle Undead, yeah. The Stag Beetle Undead never appears, though. Sorry.

I guess she worries more for her business than her daughter :p

Well we do see the Stag Undead in the movie.

BTW, I think I am the only one that got the entire purpose of Jin's character.

I just assume that, like most viewers, she's hoping Amane will just disappear and never come back. :p

No, we see the Beetle Undead in the movie. We never see the Stag beetle Undead, unless a picture of it just doesn't exist.

And I got Jin's purpose, too! :D

But if she disappears, we won't have anyone else to call out "Hajime-san!" to counter Kenzaki's "TACHIBANA-SAN!!!"

There's a possibility that I could live with that.

So LWW peeps, why don't we make a drinking game? Everytime Kenzaki yells "TACHIBANA-SAN!" take a drink. It has to be yelling though, because including casual conversation would destroy bladders :lol. Anyway, who's with me?

You may as well take a drink every time a card is scanned, and you know what, that wouldn't be as dangerous. :lol

Finally caught up after missing 3 weeks of episodes. so far like the monster designs, like the rider designs, like the rider powers, and how they can combine them, like how the riders seem like they could work together in the future and are in some ways willing to already. like how even just 12 episodes in we are seeing some character growth. Not a fan of Amane, her mother needs to put her in time out, I don't think I've seen a more misbehaved child in a toku show ever.

As for these three episodes: I'm getting the feeling that chalice's whole deal is he feels depressed about his life and makes friends with humans only to ruin their lives or endanger them and leave. I really hope tachibana stops working for the undead soon as they did that In Faiz with kaixa and he is my least favorite rider ever. Kenzaki is a pretty standard hero to me still a good hero, but other than the fact he is missing most of the annoying character flaws some riders suffer from he doesn't have much going on for him. I still like him, but that because he knows he's a rider and doesn't question it, just kill the undead protect humans.

I honestly can't wait for the next episode, especially since the mastermind with the glasses, attacked tachibana's girlfriend, he is going to have hell to pay once he finds about it.

You did, could you please explain; I'm a little dense. Any way I did get alittle behind, but all caught up now. Tachibana is really acting like a jerk to his girl, but I get he his still scared about losing he is strength, I hope he soon remembers the resone he wanted to fight in the first place, or at lest why he wanted to fight when the Zebra Undead showed up first.

They were good, Garren is becoming crazy. Its a good show, Im jsut not feeling it like I have others. Its about like Fourze was. So hopefully it will catch up closer to the end.

and episode 12-

Eh again. I just dont know why the series isnt doing anything for me, but now that Garrens girlfriend is apperantly dead maybe something will happen aside from just yelling "Tachibana-san!" Every damn five minutes...

You are hurting me man, Blade can be odd at times but it's so worth it, and hearing "Tachibana-san" is music to my ears. :lol

There are a lot of things coming up...

It's Japan, they repeat names as much as they need to show us flashbacks and have pointless exposition narration because they think their audience is stupid. If we aren't told what that attack does every episode, we forget. If we don't hear a character's name every two minutes, we forget his name. We'd also forget Hajime being with Amane's father when he died if they didn't show it to us every other episode.

Yes Ive gotten used to most of it by now. But dang Blade is taking a bit for me to like. Ill still finish it though! :D
