Just For Fun - Power Rangers Megaforce Second Theme
 

A lot of Power Rangers fans were disappointed when the theme for Power Rangers Megaforce turned out to be nothing more than an edited version of the Power Rangers Samurai theme song. However, as episodes continued to air, a second theme song began to air during various scenes - one where Jake and Gia morphed, during most of the Megazord finishers, and before the hiatus, an extended version during a Megazord battle.

Thanks to @PRUnreleased on Twitter, we can now enjoy that theme without the sound effects and voice overs from the TV show. Check it out below!

This is an old update (April of 2013), but I personally missed it and have been hoping that Saban Brands will release it as a single, kind of like the "extended" version they released for Power Rangers Super Samurai on Amazon and iTunes.

What do you think? Should this have been the Power Rangers Megaforce theme song? And would you purchase it online to listen to? Voice up and let the powers that be know!

Yes, this is so much better then what we have. It still sounds similar to eh Samurai and MMPR theme, but at least it doesn't have all that shouting, and at least sounds a little different. I still think Megaforce should've gotten a completely new theme, but this would've been ten times better then what we got.

RPM had the same thing? I didn't watch it s yeah, I wasn't back into Tokusatsu (Sentai/PR/KR wise)till like September last year.

No, they both just had awesome themes that were later replaced by new HORRIBLE ONES! :D

I actually prefer the themes we got over the unused ones.For Mystic Force the song is just so irritatingly catchy to me.I will say I do like Ron Wasserman's take,but I can't imagine the show without that stupid rap.

As for RPM,even though the song is incredibly uninspired,the sound of it fits the theme of the show more.The unused one sounds too much like the Jungle Fury theme,and that one really grew on me.

Back on MegaForce,yeaaaaaaah.I'm really getting tired of them just using a redone MMPR theme,anything different at this point would be a welcome change.At least the Disney seasons tried new stuff with their theme songs,I would welcome a stupid rap over another MMPR rehash any day,

I like it. But then I like the theme it has now, the only thing that bothers me is this new habit Saban has about having them say their name when they appear on screen during the opening titles. Something that started during Samurai. I also have an issue with them saying "Megaforce... (Color)!" when they morph. Like we can't see what color they are.

Hey guys, haven't posted here before, was linked here from the tweet earlier today.

Just to let you know I am working on a third release of Power of Megaforce which I will be having to "stitch" together from various scenes from various episodes. I have got 3 base sections of the song which I would name "Vocal", "Instrumental Section" and "Guitar Riff Section". Just a case of stitching them together which is the hardest thing I do as it has to be done in milliseconds, plus the fact that not all of the SFX are removed as they like to mix some in the left and right channels which echo as well a bit.

I did notice when I was watching ... geez I think it was Episode 07 last night, the crying episode, that this theme played and had an extended instrumental that isn't heard in any of the other episodes.

I've always been a huge, huge fan of BGM and such for Power Rangers, having really gotten in to it back with RPM and some of those songs. You do awesome work - thanks for doing it :)
