S.H. Figuarts Road Sector Official Images

With the renewal version of Kamen Rider Black and Battle Hopper due out at the end of the week, Bandai have taken the opportunity to officially announce the release of Black's second bike - the Road Sector!
Road Sector will be a Tamashii Web Exclusive for April 2014, priced at 5400 yen. It will include a removable canopy and a clear Tamashii stand. Check out the pics after the jump! |
Holy moly. I neeeeeeed this bike! Neeeeeed.
(I may have a Rider motorcycle fixation. Is there a support group for this?) |
I'll pass. I hated the thing in the show because it was pointless and took screen time away from Battle Hopper. Plus, it being a web exclusive means Bluefin cannot bring it over, making it even that more annoying to acquire.

Why would Black steal Jungle Karma Pizza delivery bike and paint it Big One colors? Seriously, could this clash more with the rider?
|
Sweet!!!! Can't believe this baby is finally getting made but so awesome!

With that said, Black sure looks uncomfortable in the bike with the canopy on :lol |

Whether or not Bluefin can release it, meh; the Battle Hopper looked cooler.

I guess I'm the weird one that likes this bike then :lol

That design is really odd. The third picture makes it look like he's been stuffed into a box too small for him. loose the canopy.

I just preordered this sucker. I know it doesn't fit the aesthetic of the series, but I love the sort of retro-futurism look of it.
|
I dunno. Road Sector always looked kind of goofy to me. I guess it's because of that big ass wind screen on the front of the bike.

Huge KRB Fan here, I took a risk in first time pre ordering one in ebay because I clearly missed it last year, hope everything works out.
I think the charm and class of the Road Sector is in the story of KRB and not really at first glance comparing it outright with Black's visage or with Battle Hopper. RS was never really intended for Black in the first place, it just so happen that he can handle the machine, and the man who created it in the end had a conscience perhaps the reason why he or the story writer or the director went with the white/bright colors. The Machine may not win any beauty contest but I find the design rather intriguing for something made more than 10 years ago. Road Sector as fast as it can go, it is actually a High Tech Battering Ram on wheels, the large front and the canopy somewhat represented a shell for the rider to hide in while trying to be ergonomically stable maneuvering it. (Even though a human made it, heck it was never meant for humans anyway so why complain about comfort lol;) which is perfectly fine with me. So yeah function over aesthetic is the name of the game with the Road Sector and the classic futuristic look that represent the Showa period is undeniable that I would not change anything on this unit. |
