DX Kamen Rider Zangetsu Faceplate Campaign
 

At the launch of the Kamen Rider Gaim toyline it looked like all the basics were covered for the 4 main riders. But we soon noticed that one rider had been left out. Kamen Rider Zangetsu is the only Gaim rider who does not currently have a faceplate available to use with the DX Sengoku Driver. The others are included with their Lock Seeds or the driver itself.

However Zangetsu's Seed is only sold with the Musou Saber, no faceplate. To rectify this problem Bandai has announced a promotional campaign for Zangetsu's faceplate! Beginning November 9th you need only present a proof of purchase for Kamen Rider Gaim merchandise at participating store to receive a faceplate. Limit of 1 plate per customer. Of course this is limited to Japan so buyers outside the country will have to look to the secondary market.

So is the face plate needed to unlock the proper sounds or is it just cosmetic?

It's the congratulation ring all over again.

This time its even worse cause the ring wasnt even in the show.

Aw man. That sucks. I just know itll shoot up in price on mandarake. Hopefully Mr. S can get some in like he did the congradulations wizard ring. If hes able to do that it might be easy to get.

Ahh. I've rarely/possibly never used CS before. Their prices seem to be quite high.

With CS the problem most of the times isnt even the prices but their insanely high shipping costs.

They go by retail pricing and dont use 20% off like AmiAmi or HLJ. Shippin is okay from what Ive seen, Ive never ordered but I do need soms Gaim stuff :lol

So does this actually do anything or is it just a cosmetic device? I know sounds are in the locks them selves, but I don't know if this adds anything to the belt. Could some one answer my question?

The faceplates are used to change the sounds inside the belt. Every Rider has unique sounds when you "lock on" one of the lock seeds.

This is why I don't collect more Bandai product. They have the single worst business model next to Mattel.

And the most annoying thing is that you need the proof that you already bought Gaim merchandise. I can only imagine tons of japanese rushing into storey to buy something because they threw away their receipts XD

The only catch is that you would have to proof that you bought it at one of the participating stores. Atleast thats how I understand the whole thing.

It's free. BoJ stuff like this (Figuarts is a collector's line, so I'll nip that one in the bud before you even start off on that) isn't even meant to be sold outside Japan anyway. I have absolutely no idea how you figure BoJ not giving something for free to people who it wasn't even marketed to in the first place is bad business. On top of that, it's a kid's toy, so cry harder about it please.

It would be different if this was something for a Figuarts (and when have they ever skimped in that regard?) or any of the other lines Bluefin brings over.

Obviously if you bought this from AmiAmi/HLJ/Hobby Search you may be boned, but have you ever thought of... and I know this is going to fucking blow your mind... ASKING THEM ABOUT IT?

Christ, talk about overreaction... bad business model for not bringing something over that goes with something not even marketed to us, swear to god collectors are the most entitled manchildren on the planet.

Might wanna chill yourself dude, I'm usually one to bite my tongue, but that was just rude and unnecessary. Split never said anything about them not helping fans here. The fact that an item that's pretty important in the show (and possibly for the belt, unlocking sounds an what not) was seemingly forgotten about is bad marketing practice.

They could have easily included it with his lock switch and the blade, but they didn't. And that's the problem here.

This seems a little shady to me. Makes me wonder if they'll find some other way to release it later on. Perhaps when everyone gets an upgrade it'll be included with his new and improved lock seed.
