I don't want to sound rude, but were enough people talking about One Piece in the Anime thread to warrant a separate thread?
The purpose of the MLP thread was so that the Western Animation thread wouldn't be overrun with pony discussion, likewise with Doctor Who and the Television thread.

i done cause go busters got its own thread and i know that sounded childish but your reason could go for the go busters one as well

To be fair, Matrix, I much prefer each topic to have its own thread. I know that that could result in an overload of empty threads, but they can easily be cleaned up, whereas the problems caused by lumping everything into a single thread (spoilers, posts getting lost, etc etc) aren't so easy to rectify.

It's funny because both the MLP thread and the Doctor Who thread were made before Western Animation and Television. :p

Anyway yeah, One Piece! I gave up on this show largely around the Marineford War Arc business mainly because it was just so fucking slow, and it really didn't reward the audience enough for being so insanely drawn out. Plus, I wasn't really a big fan of the direction the show was going, with the whole Will of D and Haki and all the rest.

Still, arcs like Enies Lobby will remain some of my favourite anime stuff ever.

so a anime based thread no going on topic on why thread like this should and should not be made ok understand but lets get back to the track of talking and sharing are love for One piece

i agree it did start to loose pase during that time but i will say post time skip it get back to good old one piece

Is there anything crucial between the Marineford war arc and the timeskip? Or can I just jump into the timeskip?

well marine ford is where ace Dies and it where Luffy Gets his X Scare but it mainly post War arc that you need to watch cause few episode at the beginig and the flashback between Ace and luffy as kids

I remember a bit after that, Shanks turns up, and he's seen as insanely powerful despite the ridiculous powers that have come into the series since his debut and he just has his crappy dagger things, so I guess I'll jump in at episode 490.

go for it cause i can say this marine ford war arc is a good luffy story with out his crew but there are better arcs out there

One Piece is by far the greatest manga series ever and one of the best anime series ever!!

I do wish Viz would hurry up and catch up already as I haven't bothered to even start reading the Punk Hazard volumes since they won't be done with that arc for another year at this point.

My favorite characters are easily Robin and Franky while Crocodile is my favorite villain in the show. My favorite arcs so far are a toss up between Water 7 and Alabasta. My least favorite arc, which I hate in both manga and especially anime form is the Foxy arc. My god that thing sucks ass and takes forever. It is completely pointless. The only thing that saves it from being unreadable/unwatchable is Luffy with the afro.

BTW, I've discovered the truth about the world ending, or rather, the rapture. The rapture will occur when One Piece ends because everyone's minds will be blown. And it will be that only those that follow One Piece will move on to heavenly bliss while everyone else will remain here on Earth for the great apocalypse. :-D

Anyway, I also do wish Funimation would just announce that they have the rights to the entire series already so we no longer have to deal with long ass breaks between seasons again.

Can someone paraphrase the Luffy Ace flashback that comes after the Marineford arc, for me? Because I've seen the majority of it, and it's like twenty episodes long, so if I don't have to watch the whole thing again, I probably won't as that is like a weeks worth of viewing for me now I'm a full time worker.

I request that this garbage be removed now and banned from ever being shared on anything One Piece related. The only people who even admit to watching that garbage are those who hate One Piece.

BTW, to the question who should play Hancock's English voice, I'm not really sure as I only know her voice from Sailor Moon, not really as Boa since I've only seen one episode with Boa and she was barely in it.

As bad as the 4kids dub turned out to be, I probably would have never heard of One Piece without it. Minus the anime I'm now finding myself as an adult, when I was a teen pretty much every anime I discovered was through dubs and although most of them are terrible, stuff like Digimon, Dragonball Z, Pokémon etc just sounds weird when it's anything other than dubbed to me.

Aaa so you haven't finished the Amazon lily arc in the anime yet I take it as well as the marineford arc

Outside of watching an episode here or there, I'm watching the show as Funimation's DVDs come out since I love Funi's dub. As such, I'm in the Enies Lobby part of Water 7.

And I am so glad we finally got to it on Toonami. It's the one arc I've not properly read nor watched, having only read summaries, and I'm really looking forward to it. A lot definitely happens there.
