November Kyoryu Silver & Bragigas Scans
11 Attachment(s)
As if Kyoryu Silver's transformation in the preview for episode 36 wasn't enough, the November scans for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger show off Torin as Kyoryu Silver as well! And along with this his partner Bragigas and the final mecha combo of the series Gigant Kyoryuzin!

I'm actually kind of disappointed that Gigant Kyoryuzin is the final combination.
Not because it's not a clusterfuck-Oh, but because Pteragordon is left out again. I'm also not a fan of how 80% of Bragigas's body mass is excluded. Seriously, the only pieces of Bragigas present are, what, the arms, a chest plate, and that piece that attaches to Kyoryzin's left shoulder? Really kind of underwhelming. |
I do find it a bit dumb that most of Bragiga is dedicated to holding the beast batteries. I would much rather not have the batteries at all and be able to have ALL the Voltsaurs combine together.
That would be something. |
Still hoping for some Plezuon Pteragordon combo.
|
Bragigas holds the Legendary Beast Batteries because, as it said in episode, he was like a Father to the Legendary Guardians. So why wouldn't he use their power when he Gattai (When He Gattai, I think I made my first toku-HipHop track)? And use them for his ultimate attack. Pteragorden doesn't fit on because where would he exactly?
|
To be honest, I'm pretty underwhelmed with Gigant Kyoryuzin too. It's a bad mess of parts to rival Kanzen GokaiOh (who actually looks better IMO). Tis a shame because Bragigas himself is pretty sweet.
Cannot wait to see Silver in action though. It's what I've been waiting for since day 1. |
The suits for both robots on show look incredible. I loved Kanzen Gokaioh's suit and I really like Gigant Kyoryuzin's. The toy execution however is far better in the case of Kanzen. Gigant just looks so awkward as a toy. I've ordered my DX Bragigas finally but I basically plan to have it displayed as Bragi-Oh instead.

I am a little disappointed the how little of bragigas they use for the combo. I do however like how the used all five main voltasaurs. I now will need to get the minipla to finish my mini Dino army

I will have Bragigas tomorrow so I will let you know if it's possible to slap Pteragordon on there somewhere.

I would suspect that you can remove the giant battery-cannon backpack from the back Gigant Kyoryujin and hopefully get Pteragordon on there. The problem is that the tail (or an extra tail from Turbospino) won't touch the ground so no back support. Also dunno if the shoulder mount for Parasagun will get in the way. |
You can easily snap Pteragordon on the back of Kyoryuzin when using the Bragi-backpack as the Zyudenchi cannon. The thing is that the only way to stabilize Pteragordon, even in the Raiden Kyoryuzin combo, is by using Gabutyras yellow tail piece. It rests on the ground and balances the whole combo.
In this combo Kyoryuzin stands on the legs of Bragigas and winds up being about 2 or 3 inches higher off the ground. And the yellow tail section is used as a part of the combos helmet. At which point there's nothing to hold Ptera, making it all the more likely that the clips on Gabutyra's back will break. I can't see any logical way to attach it that won't increase the risk of breakage. |
My main problem with Gigant Kyoryuzin is that yet again it uses Gabutyra as the leg base. I only own th eminipla and minipla Gabutyra is pretty crappy when all said and done. Rocket Kyoryuzin as a result is crap just because Gabutyra's legs are crap and now it looks to be the same yet again.

Which defeats the purpose of MiniPla, IMO, they're supposed to be posable! |

I paid a grand total of $80 shipping included for my Kyoryuzin, and I paid maybe $40 plus shipping each for Pteragordon and Plesuoh. There are tons of sites that don't price gouge nearly as badly as HLJ does. Look on Mandarake, I've seen Kyoryuzin's sell on the regular for $40-$60 pretty much since this show started. There are most certainly affordable prices for these figures. $40 a pop for the arm mecha is crazy, I got each for 1500 yen which at the time was about $18 each before shipping.
But the simple fact is that whatever ever BOA offers for an american adaptation, it will probably simplify the Zyudenchi gimmick a bit, it won't transform accurately, and won't be as cheap as it should be to reflect these differences. |

As for the BoA release, they very well may remove or modify the Jyudenchi gimmick, but we got spin disks with Samurai, almost the complete set of headers for MegaForce and they're releasing ranger keys next year, and I don't think any of those gimmicks were simplified (especially the keys which were enhanced with springs). They'll most certainly be smaller, but I don't doubt that they'll be included and functional. Honestly, what I'd like to see are Jyudenchi with zord-builder ports on either end (with pegs on Gabutyra and inside each arm). That way you could attach each arm by the battery and remove the need for clips entirely. |
HLJ also tends to list items for sale that they then don't get any stock in of, and then don't notify people about it. Which is what happened with every single DX Kyoryuger figure I ordered from them. I was never notified that literally everything I ordered went to back order or was listed as discontinued even though I got in on day 1 of their pre-orders. So for me they're pretty much a no go, permanently. They are completely unreliable.
And Manadarake is not "all used" either so I don't know where you're getting that from. They sell plenty of brand new and unopened toys. In most cases their auctions say a box is opened but the contents are unused, which is true. Even when they have something that's used they qualify it with a statement saying that it's still brand new or the box has a small ding or something. So don't assume that just because they sell it it's used. I've bought plenty of my brand new completley sealed figuarts from there and on more than one occassion sealed DX robs. |

Also, just out of curiosity, I hear a lot of people complaining about Gabutyra, but were there ever any problems with Pteragordon? I've heard a few people say that the clips on it were reinforced as well with the second release, but I've never actually heard of one breaking. It seems like that single waist connector would be much more prone to breaking than anything on Gabutyra, but I didn't keep mine for long enough to find out. |

If the new clips are actually better, then I'd thought about getting the Black Kyoryujin and Bragigas since the colors would complement each other quite well. But then I think...do I want mecha, or do I want a PS4...decisions... |
call me crazy but i cant wait for the boa versions to come out because they use a peg system which i dont understand why boj doesnt do that especially with breakage. i dont care much about paint apps, im more interested in the quality of them, i think boa has stepped up in that department which boj hasnt.
