Super Sentai Motif Battle Round 1: The Fast and the Furious
 

Time for Super Sentai teams of similar motifs to duke it out. Which of these titles is the superior one?

For Round 1, we have a car-based triple-threat:


Which of these three will cross the finish line first?

Now this is an idea I can get behind. Things are gonna go nuts when we get to animal motifs. XP

Is this based just on design and themes (Aesthetics, costumes, mecha design, etc) or the overall series (Plot, character, pacing, etc) that just happen to have similar designs and themes?

I'd say it's deigns/themes etc. I can get behind this too though. Good idea Areazeven

Strength in numbers, Go-Onger would win it.

Go-ongers for this round. Love the uniforms, love the mecha and love the insane plot.

I'm gonna have to back Go-Onger on this, I loved that show.

Go-onger, awesome looking costumes and crazy mecha (both in terms of combinations and how they can talk)

I've never seen Turboranger, so they are sort of out by default. By the Go-ongers are far and away cooler than the Carrangers. Go-on!

I guess it comes as to no surprise, but Go-onger takes the checkered flag.

Reasons for picking Carranger:

1. It's funny and the team dynamic is fun to watch
3. Suit designs are awesome
4. Signalman
5. Biker gang bad guys

Random Trivia Time:

* Kousoku Sentai Turboranger was the first Heisei era Super Sentai title. And during its release, it was designated as the 10th anniversary title, as Himitsu Sentai Goranger and J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai were not included in the series until 1995. Today, Turboranger is the 12th Super Sentai.
* Following the inclusion of Goranger and J.A.K.Q. to the Super Sentai series, Gekisou Sentai Carranger became the 20th Super Sentai.
* "Engine Sentai Go-onger" by Hideyuki Takahashi became the first Super Sentai theme song to reach the top 10 in Oricon's weekly singles charts, peaking at #4.
* To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Super Sentai vs. crossover series, Engine Sentai Go-onger vs. Gekiranger became the first vs. title to be released theatrically since 1978's J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai vs. Goranger.
