I saw this thread and went looking for subs, forgetting it only just came out.

Bu-D'oh. >_<

Couldnt watch the episode myself because the stream broke down but I watched the Gridon/Kurokage Henshin and really liked it. I would have loved it if they used the electric guitar stand by sound for them just because it would have sounded better during there henshin. Since they are using two completely different themes its kinda annoying to my ears xD The other thing I didnt like was that we didnt really saw the acorn and the pinecone unfold into there armor.

Also next episode is Bravo time and he looks to be really flamboyant.

Loved the episode, and oooh, that ending >_<.

Chcked out the RAW. Strawberry Arms was actually pretty cool. I didn't know he had a limitless supply of Kunai. I quite like Ryugen. I quite like them all.

That ending, this show knows how to keep us waiting. And teh preview for next week: Bravo looks... he just looks wonderful.

Huh, subs are up early this week.

I was surprised this episode because I was under the impression that Kurokage and Bravo were movie riders. So happy to be wrong.

Strawberry is more awesome than I thought it'd be, but I also have a thing for ninjas. 1000 kunai attack was fun too. Ryugen is proving to be as boring in a fight as I thought he'd be. Riders with only guns as weapons just don't do well in Kamen Rider. He'll be good back up though.

Bravo is going to be something...interesting. Either way, we are 5 episodes in with 6 Riders and a 7th on the way. New record?

Thank goodness they got over with the hero going emo and getting back to his senses. Ryugen Gaim tag was fun to watch as well as Gridon + Kurokage. Bravo seems too Jojo's Bizarre Adventure but I dont mind.

Did NOT expect Kurokage and Griton to be making an appearance so soon. They hinted nothing of the sort in the previous weeks' preview so it really, really caught me by surprise! Perhaps the first time in a while that I let out an audible, "What the crap?!?"

This episode was action, action, action throughout, and it was beautiful! So much fun watching the fight, especially Gaim vs Baron. The Ichigo Arms is a really nice set of armor, love it!

Sid, hmm, now at least we know he's working with Takatora and that the whole Sengoku driver thing was planned. In fact, all the Riders were handpicked by Sid except for Kota, and I think that will mean something in a while. Note also that Sid is confident enough to shove a file with Takatora's own brother in it, knowing that Takatora wouldn't bother. It really shows how much of a mind-reader and a mastermind he is.

I don't think Gridon and Kurokage are going to last too long.When they henshined at the end,one of them had Baron's henshin music,which means he'll either get beat and the lock will go back to Baron,or Baron will call him useless and just beat him himself.I also think the more permanent riders will have the more decorative belt plates and/or suits.

Other then that,it was a pretty solid episode.That was a pretty ominous message to Micchy though.I can see him being the first dying just to prove his brother wrong,if there will be death in the series.Loved Ichigo arms,very cool that he has 3 locks now.Favorite part has to be where he just punches Baron twice,just points his fist at Baron and screams.lol

I dunno about Kurokage, but Gridon could last a solid while. He was in that lot of the "main 5", and less conclusive, but Orobuchi did mention how much he liked Gridon over the other characters.

As for the non specific standby noise: Zangetsu. 'Nuff said.

Griton seems likely to last around, considering how much he appears in promotional material, in the Rider War in the first episode, and how Gen Urobuchi has said that he's his favourite Rider. Kurokage, not so sure.

Really liked this Episode even though not a lot happened.

I think Kurokage and Griton will stay a lot longer than we might expect. They will atleast be present until january when there AC Figures come out.

Thing is, I think we're mistaking the belt sounds as supposedly unique to a rider, when the sounds are actually unique to the period/nationality the rider armour is based off of. Traditional knight-style riders (like Baron and Gridon) get the trumpet, sengoku/samurai-style riders get Gaim's, and the Chinese flavoured riders get Ryugen's.

Much like Ryuki, this series's sounds are spread out a bit thinner.

I think the only reason they showed Gridon during the promo material is that he could've been one of the first five suits finished,and they just wanted to show what the riders looked like.It doesn't necessarily mean he's a main character.Also,like I said,their side plates are alot more bland then the main riders.I think we'll see Kurokage and Gridon move on or become someone elses lock seeds.Remember,the series is supposed to be dark,and if I see any riders going the way of the dinosaurs,its those 2 first.

Except Gridon appears in the flashforward, so he survives.

He's officially one of the main five for that reason alone. Ouja wasn't supposed to be a main character in Ryuki, afterall.

We'll see when Bravo debuts.It could be that or it could be rider specific.Every lock seed that has played Gaim's theme has become Gaim's locks.

Lock seeds don't play themes, though. Unless you mean the ones that match his motif. In which case yeah, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see lock swapping in the future, especially since we know the suits are interchangable.

Also, I forgot to vote, but I found this episode excellent. Strong character building, great action, thickening of the plot.

You say he's a main,yet Baron used 2 Gridon lock seeds in the battle against Ryugen in this episode.Any lock that has been shown to have more then one copy has become either a utility lock seed or an Inves.The only single lock seeds out there are Gaim's,Baron's,Ryugen's,and Zangetsu

Also,totally agree with you on the episode.Amazing character development,great action.Love that Ryugen's brother didn't look in the file after being offered to,and missed the chance to see that his brother was a rider Great building of plot right there.

Except you know that's not true, because one of the very first things we see in the show is the DJ guy with an orange lock seed, even though Kota hand picks his from a tree later. Plus Sid had a whole inventory of them.

There's multiples of all lock seeds. The entire cast could swap to orange at any time.

And even if that was true, it still doesn't mean Gridon can't be a main rider.

Either way,we'll find out.I just don't see them as main riders,they're just too bland.

Yeah, there are multiple versions of each Lockseed out there, but each one is a different "Class" referring to their power and "rarity". Gaim's Orange, Pine and Ichigo, Baron's Banana, Zangetsu's Melon and Ryugen's Budou are all Class A, meaning they are more powerful and can summon evolved Invess. Gridon's Donguri lockseed is a Class B, while Kurokage's Matsubokkuri lockseed is a Class C, so their lockseeds summon basic Invess, and therefore, they should be "weaker" compared to the other Riders.

Great episode and really early subs.

Ryugen is apretty subpar fighter right now, hope he improves. Ichigo was suprisingly fun, and I really liked the kunai as weapons.
Plus Griton! Heck Yeah!

Gridon and Kurokage showing up was a nice surprise. This show sure knows how to keep you hooked.

Good episode, although I'm still getting major Ryuki flashback vibes from this show. Kurokage and Griton look cool, but unless I'm wrong doesn't Kurokage have the same belt jingle as Gaim? Between that and the fact that he first appears five episodes in but wasn't in pre-release promos I'm guessing he's not long for this world. I'll be kind of surprised if he makes it past episode 10 and completely astonished if he's still around by 15.

Next week's new guy, Bravo, though? That dude has "first casualty of the Rider War" written all over him. No way he's not dead by episode 10.

I'll also say this: Kouta's transformation this episode has almost sold me on the idea that transformation sequences in this show can look dramatic. Almost.

Yup, Kurokage has the same jingle as Gaim, while Gridon has the same jingle as Baron

Another great episode! Strawberry is fun, turns invess into pin cushions. Haha. But yeah, Micchy is pretty useless at the mo and next week looks like it's going to be err... Interesting...

Dig that we found out a bit more about Sid and Ygdrassils plans/motives. More of that wouldn't go amiss though please!

And according to the toys Zangetsu will also have gaims jingle.

Very good so far but I hope the pace evens out a bit & we start learning more about the stakes involved in this story.

and Team Gaim's in serious trouble. Two Armored Rider's to Baron's three (seemingly soon to be four) and Zangetsu is no ally. Hope one of the other unrevealed Riders ends up on their side.

Its heavily implied that he doesnt know. Sid even said in the last episode if Takatora would find out about it he could get in serious trouble.

I think Bravo is gonna be on Gaim's side.Bravo is Kouta's new boss according to the subs.

If Oren Pierre Alfonso (I love that name) is going to be on Gaims side this would be a neat twist. I mean he is pretty much going to be a giant psychopath :lol

If, Bravo is going to be on Gaim's side then that'll be awesome! A good twist, and mix and match with the team is great.

A thing I really liked about this episode is how we got to see that Kaito really mastered his sengoku driver and takes his powers much more seriously than Micchi or Kouta did.
