4 Zyurangers to Reprise Roles in Voice Over Only
 

Reiko Chiba (Mei/Pterra Ranger) has taken to Twitter once again to shed light on the upcoming return of the Zyurangers. The Zyurangers will be appearing alongside the Kyoryugers, Abarangers, Go-Busters, and very likely the Tokyugers in the upcoming VS. movie Dinosaur Battle! So Long, My Friends.

Clearing things up a bit Ms. Chiba has let us know that only Yūta Mochizuki (Geki/Tyranno Ranger) will be reprising his role physically. The other 4 Zyurangers will be voice overs only, so expect their suits to show up on screen with the iconic voices attached! However Ms. Chiba has also confirmed that Shiro Izumi (Burai/Dragon Ranger) will NOT be doing a voice over or appearance.

Seeing Zyu's without Dragon'll be weird, but that's MMPR nostalgia talking. And that title :lol Proof Toei doesn't like Go-Busters. There's nothing Go-Bust in that title!

So what was the big deal about all 6 of them signing on to do something a few months back?

So it sounds like the Zyurangers and rumoured Abaranger appearances will just be quick cameos, which is only a good thing cause I don't want them to forget the Gobusters are in it too.

Suddenly, black Kyoryujin is starting to make a lot more sense….

Well no one ever said anything about all 6 of them at any point. The rumors and discussion have only ever been about the core 5. Burai's actor completely retired and took himself out of the equation. This is the the thing Reiko Chiba spoke on twitter about a couple months ago. That they'd get a return/cameo in some form or fashion thanks to Kyoryuger.
I'm just putting it out there, but I did call it when we got the official images :p

Leave it to Toei to bring back original actors and then find a way to waste them. If they can't even show up to morph, then what's the point.

No Green Ranger?! HAX! I hoped we'd get to see Dragonzord/Dragon Caesar show up.

Yeah, this is actually really disappointing news. Kind of sounds like a waste just to have the other Zyu's voices...

Its better than nothing.

I rather just have voice work from the original actors instead of voice doubles or nothing at all. If their schedules didnt line up and or toei not paying enough for actual appearances this is the best we could have hoped for.

4 Years ago we wouldnt even had gotten that much.

Gosh I at least wanted to see the zyu dragon suit in action again. Its not like there's a shortage or anything(gokiger)! Man that sucks.

This is just weird. But it yet again reaffirms the disaster that was Go-Busters.

Disappointing that DragonRanger won't show up. Bringing in two other teams also shows that Toei really doesn't like Go-Busters, which is a shame.

Atleast it's something and I'm still excited for it.

If they do show the mecha (which I sorta doubt, I'd say if anything it'd just be the combined forms), Dragon Caesar can still show up. Geki was given Dragon Caesar after Burai died.

Maybe not but I'd say it's because Zyuranger wasn't that much of a popular season in Japan. Most western fans tend to make something special out of Zyurangers, because they were the first Power Rangers here, but in Japan, they don't have such a meaning at all. 6th ranger weren't that important back then anyway.

This shows nothing, really. The fans were wishing for a movie were all Dino Sentai appeared and considering how old Zyuranger is and that the actors might not all have wished to return, they combined it with the team-up to be on the safe side.
Toei liked Go-Busters enough to give it a V-Cinema, after all.

It reaffirms Toei screwing a fantastic show out of an epilogue. But that's about it.

How can you say that when we don't have any plot given yet? We know the Dino Sentai will have a voice over cameo (except for the reds), which I assume doesn't make it a long one. And the Kyoryugers turn evil, according to the teaser. I think that's enough to give the Go-Busters some space and screentime.

I was more rebuffing his opinion that Go-Busters wasn't a good show. If anything happens it'll be them getting screwed. But I'm hoping since the Zyurangers & presumably Abarangers outside the Reds will be voice only, that means the Busters won't get the short end of the stick.

So I read the last few pages and let me get that straight. At first everyones worried that the Zyurangers and Abarangers will geta giant focus in the movie and that the Busters will get screwed...than its confirmed that they will pretty much have small cameo appearances and now everyone is disappointed?

Except there was an article someone posted on HJU a few weeks back that talked about Burai's actor was coming out of retirement for a special get together.

ANd come on, they are Japanese. Do they even know what the term retire means? :p

Anyway, I'd rather just have a full on dinosaur movie than having even more time wasted on Yoko and worst of all, the Hemorrhoids... I mean Buddyroids.

ZyuRanger's epilogue wasn't that big. Sure, it showed the rangers going up to the heavens, but it wasn't as detailed as epilogues in other series.

I mean Go-Busters though. If they get screwed out of the traditional previous years show getting an epilogue in the next years' VS movie, then I won't care how many past rangers they toss in.
