Amiblo has posted a pictorial preview of the highly anticipated SRC DaiZyuJin by Tamashii! This main mecha from Zyuranger gained notoriety in the West as none other than the original Megazord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! Amiblo has posted images showing this upcoming figure in dynamic poses and the effect parts in use.

The very 1st diecast DaiZyuJin figure is a welcome addition to the Super Robot Chogokin line. If you want Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA to bring this over stateside, make your voices heard! Check out the new images after the jump!

I am not familiar with this line, which components on the figure are diecast?

I am not sure which specific parts on this particular figure are diecast, but generally there is a good amount. For 5" figures they are quite hefty.

Good lord this thing blows away that asymetrically jointed TRU exclusive Bandai America Retrofire figure from a few years back! Anyone going to take the plunge and preorder this bad boy from Japan?

What's going on with the faceplate on this guy? It's almost black in a couple of the pictures.

Yeah I just noticed that. Its like that in retail pictures on amiami and other sites. Hopefully it comes out grey once it hits retail.

if you look at the shot where it is on the floor with the face looking up, you'll see that the face plate is indeed silver, just didn't catch the light I suppose.

Why does my September have to be so busy pre-order wise :cry? Well, I can always hope for DAT PRICE clearance like Shinkenoh was last year on AmiAmi.

I like the sword effects just slip over the sword, and he seems excellently posable. Definately going to consider picking this up.

Am I right in assuming that MMPR never used the over the shoulder cannons?

Yeah I dont remeber the shoulder cannons or the little horn laser. But it has been like 15 years...

It used the horn laser a few times (only just recently rewatched MMPR season one), but I don't remember seeing the shoulder cannons.

Daizyujin used the head beam before getting the sword (as the finisher, I think). Power Rangers had the sword from day one, so it's kind of forgettable.

As for the shoulder cannons, I'm going to say that's from Zyu2 footage. Try proving me wrong :p

The shins and the chest mostly. It's a waste of diecast and only jacks up the price, in my opinion at least.

I went through Netflix and checked myself: Megazord never used the Shoulder Cannons, which seems like a shame. They only used the cannons when they were cannons in tank mode.
