Today we got to see the first public appearance of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Many of you have already gone out to Toys'R'Us and purchased your Power Rangers Super Megaforce figures. But there are many of you who are probably still on the fence on whether or not you want to pull the trigger on the Bandai of America version of your favorite Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger figures.

I'm sold. I'll never afford a Gokai-Oh, and this looks like one of the best BoA ZordBuilder releases yet. I'm looking forward to it.

My birthday's next Friday, maybe I'll get this along with the Legacy Megazord I already planned on getting.

gokai-oh is the only japanese DX I own, and i still plan on getting this. i just love gokai-oh

Zipties are better then those impossible to untie recycled strings of rock hard paper they usually use.

You just posted one of the dumbest comments I've ever seen. Just, really, really? Respect has nothing to do with buying a toy, especially one for a CHILDREN'S television product. You know, what both Power Rangers and Super Sentai is.

Yes it's cool to have toys that are show accurate, but guess what, this isn't always possible. BOA and BOJ have completely different toy making methods, which means that you're rarely ever going to get a toy that is exactly the same. Whether it be articulation, paint apps, or anything else, something will have to go to make it in BOA, and to make it cheaper. Once again, these are for kids to play with. Same goes for the Japan version, except they put more detailed work into it because that's how Japan is.

If it wasn't for BOA, none of us would probably have some of these toys, as the Japanese ones aren't cheap. I'll admit they don't do the best job they could do, but they at least try and give us a quality product for the market it's being released in. And how the hell is this demeaning?

You pretty much said in your last paragraph that if you get this, you do not respect your collection, and you do not respect yourself. That is utter horse shit. One was stating some negativity towards those who purchase BoA products, the other was in contrast to that statement, but took it a little far with the personal jabs.

We all have differing opinions - all I ask is that you RESPECT those opinions. Not saying you have to be friends. But this board isn't the place for either side to become so rage-filled that we start flinging personal attacks at each other.

Yeah, the BoJ toys aren't cheap, like the BoA versions. The quality is great.

If BoJ makes toys for kids, then what does BoA make? Toys for babies? Or less? Congratulations if you love it, but when you dumb down articulation, paint jobs, plastic quality, what is it you get?

You do know that Megazords have very little articulation, right?

Ok, before this gets out of hand, let's just agree to disagree. BOA brought BOJ product to US before with Samurai, and the price certainly reflects the difference in quality, BOA compensated the reduction with more playability with the Zord Builder ports that can pull off (although non canonical) combinations. Clearly the consumer has a choice to make depending on their preference. Buying one over the other doesn't make anyone less of a person, so let's respect and be civil to one another.

Speaking of screen accuracy, even the BOJ GokaiOh can't pull off the russian doll effect of storing all the other parts inside the Galleon nor can it pull off poses that even the SRC GokaiOh had trouble doing, so it is a moot point.

Buy whatever you like, it's your money.

I love this Megazord.Sure it has it's downs,like Balt said,but in the long run it's still better then what we've gotten for a while.I for one understand why they made it the way they did.It's being marketed for kids.The simplicity(taking out the opening panels for pegs) and the lack of paint were done to make it affordable.Yeah,BoJ makes it for kids too,and their quality is higher,but thats because I could go over to every household in Japan,no matter the age gap,and say "sentai" and start a conversation.

I already have the DX Gokai-Oh, but may get this for my son.

I way wind up getting this, the ZeoZord, and the Lion Wildzord/FoldZord hybrid.

It may not be the best version available, but for well less than half the cost (and before shipping at that) this "close enough" version (of a mecha that I'm not that crazy about in the first place) is probably the one I'll pick up.

Balt, Can you take some more nutty pictures of BOA zord builder combos for goki-oh? like gosei goki-oh or swap the samurai megazord limbs with the legendary megazord one ect...?

Or better yet, try beating guncannon at his own game by creating horrifying monstrosities?

I honestly think the build a zord system is much better then the panels.Sure the combos they have on the back of the package look out of place,but I'm not going to necessarily keep them on those pegs.Take the SPD combo.They show the 2 parts on the front,where as I think they'd look better on the sides.Heck,you might even be able to combine 2 of them,like SPD and Zeo.

This will day just fine in my book.

Personaly I love the BOA magi dragon combo look far more than the BOJ version.
the legs look far more integrated rather than just hanging there like the BOJ ones. Patstriker combo would be better if it was attached to the sides. Then you coukd get a 4 part gun cannon attack (2 on legs, 2 on arms).
I just cant wait for the future of Zord builder now! Can you imaging and Go-busters or kyoryuger grand power combo? I can!

That's how I feel about the Wild Force/Samurai Lion combination.

While Zord Builder still tastes a bit sour, it is becoming the most awesome thing Bandai of America has done.

The toys are being redeemed on masse. Now to turn our scorn to the people making the episodes and hope we can change it for the better.

Megaforce is getting better. Look at the glorious voice acting like Vrak, sometimes RoboKnight, and Metal Alice.

I know. But those three seem like the only ones trying.
Fortunately they are the best of Goseiger and and deserve awesome VAs so it's a pyrrhic victory.

I don't see much redeemable value in the legendary megazord. Smaller size and lack of paint are annoying but things I can deal with for the sake of cost saving.

But I can't stand the nerfing of the zords, and changing the gimmick. I don't care for zord builder, it removes as much play value as it adds.

Gosei great and dino megazord did well using zord builder system but the samurai megazord and now legendary have really suffered.

Makes me think that BoA doesnt believe the play patterns created in Japan will translate to America, hence the removal of hidden discs, and pop open doors.

My main gripe with Gokai-Oh / Legendary Megazord, is that even if the combined form looks great, the individual zords feel really out of place, Galleon makes sense, the others not so much. :lol

I still havent see the gosei wonder zords at retail. anyone have em available online for a reasonable price?

Hey Balt: If you happen to come across one of the Aux stuff (SPD Car, Zeo Car, Wild Force/Samurai Lion), can you attach them to another Megazord using Zord Builder? Like take the arms and legs off Legendary, put them on another ZordBuilder Megazord, and use the Aux stuff on the limbs?
