Kamen Rider Girls
Hey has anybody seen the new Kamen Rider Girls MV
E-X-A? If you havn't here is the link it's to all kamen rider fans out there and KRG fans!. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1XT8CNqmbw |
Personally, I think it's pretty weak of them to use KRG(I like that acronym :p) for possibly most of the endings again. If just feels lazy when they have their two "in house" groups(the other being Rider Chips) do most of the songs.
|
Hated them when they first started and still dont like them. Saite and Just the beginning are pretty cool songs but everything else they did is just awful. Especially compared to a band like Rider Chips the girls just come off as amateurs.
|
Never saw the appeal, personally. Don't dislike them or anyone who likes 'em, though.
|
I like the KRGirls. Missing Piece, Just the Beginning, Journey through the Decade, Last Engage. I keep hoping they'll do something for Gaim, or switch franchises and do some Sentai songs.

I don't like them. Most of their songs are really bad (Saite is one of my fav Rider songs, but it doesn't sound like pop-chipmunks, unlike much they did). Besides, as a girl, I also don't see the appeal in dressing some random girls in skimpy clothing and give them Rider belts. Nothint special about that.
Not considering that I'm not as good in shape as them, wearing cool clothing, a driver and singing is something I could probably pull of as well, so I don't see what's so special about them. |

The only song I remember of theirs - besides the bad opening theme covers - was that godawful one from the Fourze graduation episode.

I haven't seen Wizard, but Last Engage on it's own is a damn awesome song. I love playing it on repeat when I play fighting games.

Honestly, I don't really have any strong feelings on the KRG. Sure they butchered Let's Go Riderkick(Seriously where is the passion? The funnest part of Let's Go Riderkick was the original singers passion but the girls voices were flat and emotionless like robots), and their Wizard endings were mostly forgettable, but their music didn't ruin my enjoyment of Wizard and their singing has improved greatly over a few years.
Besides they are an IDOL group, did you really expect any better? They were most likely chosen for looks, dancing skills, and having passable singing skills. Really I think the worst thing Ishimori Productions/Avex did was have the KRG early songs be covers of past openings. Songs well loved by fans being sung by amateurish singers is not a good way to introduce a new group. I'm sure they will continue to get better over the years...but knowing they did a cover of Journey Through the Decade I know what song to avoid. To hear GACKT's wonderfully deep and powerful voice replaced by the KRG's average singing...I don't even want to imagine it. |

Journey through the Decade is awesome because it's GACKT. The Rider Girls can't even sing >,< |

GACKT is my favorite artist of all time, with a big part of it being his powerful voice. You don't need to understand the lyrics to his songs, the emotions he portrays in his voice is enough to get the message across. While I will defend the KRG because they have improved on the technical side of singing by their wizard endings, enough for me to say they can sing(their vocal range seems to have improved as they don't always seem to sing on the same note, and they can now change the tone of their voices) but until they master actually having emotions in their voices while they sing they don't even compare to singers like Gackt(Hell AKB48 can sing circles around them) |

<.< ...I actually hate the normal version of Journey Through the Decade, imo the Rider Girls version, while not good still, is the closest to enjoyable. |

While I will probably never agree that the KRG are talented singers(at the moment, they still have room to grow) because I was a serious choir student in Middle school and High school and knew middle schoolers who can sing better than KRG...but they are IDOLS, they were not hired for musical ability and as long as people enjoy their musing that's all that maters(Though I do wish they stopped dominating the ending songs so much) I mean I can't exactly argue taste when I enjoy music that I know is bad but is too catchy for me not to like. (Hides Sexy Zone cd behind back >-> ) |

It's true the Rider Girls have improved on the technical side, but that doesn't change the fact that most of their songs are just bad. The Infinity theme, for example, is far to high for them, they just go all squeaky on the heights. I don't see the point in dressing up a random girl group with Rider belts anyway. I'd prefer a good singer who has some emotional tie to what he sings. Like Gackt or Rider Chips. Or the actors themselves. |

2) ... Missing Piece is a song of epicness. 3) I admit. OOO songs were excellent because of that point. But .. Kiva Girl >_< 4) Don't argue with me! Sic'm Candelira! |

And Kiva Girl is nothing compared to that awesomeness of Koji Seto's voice. Duh! The only actors who didn't really convince me with their singing were Renn Kiriyama and Masahiro Inoue. Wich is crazy, because they were both in Tenimyu. I will argue! ALWAYS! °_° |

You know, I've never actually listened to the Rider Girls version of Journey Through the Decade.
Let's fix that. ... :lol Oh god, this is awful. :lol Okay, let's try the Wizard song that I don't remember ever hearing. ... Yeah, that's pretty bad. Also, I think Kiva "girl" may be a dude. Well, we've learned one thing today: my criticism of Rider Girls based on their godawful cover of Let's Go, Rider Kick and that song from Fourze is still totally valid. |
