Power Rangers Super Megaforce Wild Force Red Lion Zord First Images
4 Attachment(s)
Thanks to ToyWiz via Amazon.com and Fury Diamond and his Samurai Cast Blog we have our first look at the Super Megaforce Wild Force Red Lion Zord! This figure is a double whammy - meant as homage to Power Rangers Wild Force in its lion mode, and a homage to Power Rangers Samurai when it combines with the Legendary Megazord!
And it has Lion Pants mode! You know you want one. But are you going to get one? Let's talk about it! Original link - Amazon.com - and Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com! |
BOA is finally stealing my money...good for you BOA!
It's not perfect but even I have to admit this is decent. Plus it can hang out with my Gao Lion's. Yes plural.
Them zord builder ports... this will be mine! :D
The samurai mode actually looks really good, unlike most of the others from the line. Kinda tempts me to pick them both up.

Not half bad, and I don't mind the kanji on the sides of the lion when not combined. The only thing I don't like is the missile sticking out of its mouth (but I'm gonna set that aside anyway XD).
If there's one thing i want to get from Super megaforce, it's this. :D
The lower legs and lion claws jutting from the arms are a bit distracting.
But damn that's missile firing gimmick is awesome! |
So I take all zords will come with red ranger of the respective season the the zord from
Awh, the cheapening knife of BoA's cuts is really felt on this guy. Doesn't look horrible.. until you compare it to Shinken GokaiOh. I think the worst parts are how the lion's mouth doesn't open and the arm parts now stick up like giant shoulder adornments instead of flipping down. But where would they go in this case?
Also why the heck did I feel the need to comment on each of these? <_< Second glance thought: At least the lion head looks in better proportion on the chest of the Megazord than with Shinken GokaiOh |
I like how they made do with what they had. Combined form looks very proportionally good, and I like how the lion legs form pauldrons of sorts on the shoulders. One thing I definitely prefer over the BoJ one is the Mojikara characters look to be painted on rather than stickers.
Kudos to Bandai of America for being creative around their limitations. |
The only thing I don't like are the legs jutting out to the sides like that. would be better if they could fold up a bit. Heck, I'd buy the thing right now if ToyWiz wasn't charging more than what I paid for the Megazord itself.
I completely like this, even the arms hanging off, looks great to me.
I haven't bought anything from power rangers since RPM but super megaforce may change that.
If the Machalcon combination looks this good, I may just take the plunge. What they lack in detail, they sure make up for in playability. Looks more fun than the BoJ ones right now.
Definitely getting one even if only to have the lion mode on my shelf. Not digging the huge lion paws on the shoulders in samurai mode -.-
You had me at "lion pants".
Of all the ones coming out...this one I may get...
I like how not all the ports aren't being used in combine mode, it has possibilities for more zord builder fun
I've only just realised the ridiculousness of a pirate ship riding a lion.
:lol |
Have a Pirate Ship riding a Lion while holding guns that shoot fists.
Best. Megazord. EVER. |
Looks like my plan to get the American GokaiOh and the Lion are back.
I like how it's both Shinkenger/Samurai AND GaoRanger/Wild Force. |
Now this is beautiful, and I love they included the Centaur Mode (Even though I think they're lazy). But the Samurai/Shinken mode was always one of my favorites from Gokai. And this does not dissapoint.
Well, this definitely caught my girlfriend's attention. Looks like we have a reason to get Super Megaforce toys now!
I actually think this looks BETTER that Shinken GokaiOh. Sure it isn't accurate, but the limbs look fantastic without the flaps and the Lion legs on the arms add nice extra touch to the bulky Samurai armour look. Considering the Lion doesn't look like much on its own, I'm very impressed.
I think the lion and the combine mode look good. Better than I thought it'd be.
I will beat people out of my way with a nail ridden baseball bat to get to that. It's so friggin' awesome it's melting my face off.
I can only imagine what Machalcon will look like. Dayum. |
Haha, that third pic: "Well then....... Giddy-up......."
It doesn't look like in comes with shinken reds personal weapon, I can't think of the name at the moment. I really liked how they implemented that in the BoJ version.

This is probably the only thing out of this new wave of stuff that I'll be getting. It's the only thing that really stands out to me.
Legendary Samurai Megazord looks 100000 times better than shinkengokaioh, And i love the fact that each zord vehicle comes with the red ranger key for that season. Makes me wanting to get all of the keys that much easier on my wallet...

Using the rear legs as big shoulder pads actually makes this look better than the Gokaiger version to me.
Basicaly, if it weren't for the inherant cheapness of BOA plastics and paint jobs, I'd say Super Megaforce's zords are outright better than BOJ versions. The zord builder gimmick actually improves combinations that before looked utterly goofy and awful. The opening door gimmick on Gokaioh and having everything have those weird spring-out gimmicks seriously hurt the look. Merely having the parts peg on as replacement limbs/armour is SO much better looking. |
Love the look of this megazord, but, the legs look a little thin...

So, if those legs attach by way of Zord-builder pegs, does the Lion have some incidental articulation?
I'd be lion if i didn't say that i want this.
