The earliest and dumbest poll ever - Tokkyuger First Impressions
 

We know - it's way too soon. But sometimes first impressions are fun. So let's just have it - your first impressions on Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger.

Im waiting on a full opinion until the show is over, hell Im enjoying Kyoryuger to much to care. :lol The toys Im really not interested in, its not just that I really don't care for these much at all.

Design wise I am 50/50 on it. Love the helmets,the suits are meh, love the gear (minus bazooka) but cant stand the robot.

The show I dont know cause I havent seen it yet :lol

Aesthetically, I am not particularly fond. However, the program may change my mind.

I don't really like the look of the team or the mecha, but I like the idea of they can switch colors for different weapons. Also I couldn't resist voting CHOO CHOO!

I love it. If Kyoryuger is a throwback to the older designs, then this is off the walls nuts.

Plus, the simple designs leave room for more trains. I didn't see a Brown, White, Black or Purple train in there at all.

Cool Japanese Trains plus Super Sentai? I think it looks bloomin awesome! :D

Suits: Ew, no. They look like the crappy parody suits a show like SNL or All That would whip up in a night for a quick sketch. The track thing for a visor I can get behind, but they're so bland and dull otherwise that...No.

Weapons and gear: Meh. The weapons look like Go-Ongers backstock and I'm just not a fan of everything else I see.

Mecha: I hate this thing. Most of everything else has some redeemable factors for me, but this thing just looks ugly. Maybe the in show suit will look pretty decent, but the toy just looks like crap.

So I voted on "It looks bad!"
It's shallow and based solely on design, but that's all I have to work with for now. Here's hoping the actual show will be better than what the first impression lets on!

My impressions are slightly positive.

Suits - Don't do much for me, but don't offend me either. I can see myself growing fond of them.

Mecha - LOVE IT! Always wanted something that isn't just limbs transformation and this looks really fun. And I like the awkward proportions, it was definitely something unexpected from the usual heroic proportions or the expected blocky ones.

Other stuff - Great, not many impressions yet, but overall positive.

So for me: It's Great!

You know, I saw your post and glimpsed at the avatar and, for a second, thought you were me :lol

Visually, for me it looks terrible. That doesn't mean much, though, as there've been some good shows out there with bad suits before. For me it's all about the writing and production staff and what they're going to bring to the show. Get Arakawa on this, for example, and I know I'll probably love it.

I'm just not loving the outfits, its the first time I have seen outfits and have not cared for a series going in.

It just looks awful.

The Suits: Horrible. They're bland, I don't like the train track visors, I hate the chests. They just look godaweful.

The Weapons: Does Go-Onger know you stole their stuff?

The Mechs: .. So his hips are at his shoulders?

I still want to wait for the finished thing, but I'm kinda looking forward to it. The designs are rather mixed, though I quickly got used to the suits.
From the promo pictures, I really hope we get a happy-go-lucky Pink, somewhat like DekaPink, MagiPink and GoseiPink. Not that I didn't like Ahim and Mako, but I love the crazy Pinks much more. Also, I hope Yellow is somewhat the cool fighter, like ShinkenPink was.
Also, a crazy Blue like ShinkenBlue and a big-bro Green like MagiPink would be great. As for Red, considering we had a happy and bright person like Daigo, a more calm and collected Red like ShinkenRed would be nice.

Ah well, done with my character wishlist from what the pictures made me think.

Me too! MagiPink is my favourite Pink and Magiranger, I think they're just a lot more entertaining to watch.

As long as we don't get another Red that the entire universe revolves around, then I would be happy.

I will agree to this. I love Kyoryu, but I do not like Daigo.

Nevertheless, this series is already shaping up to be a train wreck. IN fact, I don't even think we'll watch this series with our friends either it looks so bad. I'll have them watch something superior instead next year.

Now, when has that happened? :p

Design wise I'm not sure how I'll like this series, I think I'll wait to see how the writing is, was kinda hoping the train megazord would combine a bit more intricately than it seems to, still in theory heck maybe the legs will have some more articulation this time. The train tracks on helmets are hilarious though.

So far based off designs only, im loving what im seeing and cant wait for it start.

I dont know why but in the last days I really started to fall in love with the Tokkyuger Suits. Yes they are dull and dont have much detail but I kinda like that xD They still look rather naked but again I dont see myself that bothered by them anymore like I did the first few times I saw them.

I don't know. The mech is kinda lame but I find the suits oddly pleasant. I need to know more though before judging it proper.
