Ranger Key, set!

Our tribute to Power Rangers Megaforce & Super Megaforce continues with another DX gallery from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger! Using the ranger keys of Mahou Sentai Magiranger in Gokai Oh summons the Grand Power of Magiranger, Magi Dragon!

DX Magi Dragon is of course based on Magiking's Magi Dragon form. Though considerably smaller than the original it's still a fun little DX figure. It breaks down into 5 components to be stored within Gokai Oh until the dial gimmick is activated. When spun, the dial hits sequential triggers in each of Gokai Oh's limbs that unlock the doors allowing the spring loaded parts to push them open and "transform" into place. When combined with Magi Dragon it's referred to as Magi Gokai Oh! Here's a quick review of the dial feature:

The small wings make it look kinda underwhelming...

I loved the show look, but the DX toy doesn't look very good imo.

This was never my favorite. Beautiful gallery, I just dont like the toy :lol

I havent picked this up yet, the only gokai machine i have is gao lion. Ill get this eventually, the price is always pretty reasonable.

I actually didn't know it had a spring-loaded gimmick! That's freaking awesome!

This wasn't one of my favourites, but it's not bad. I think larger wings would have made it far more complete. There's also the unfavorable comparison to the magnificent DX Magidragon from Magiranger.

Still, it's Magiranger. :) I'm surprised they got Magi for one of their Zord combos, but it's really nice.

Still need to get this too. I just have PatStriker.

I say the BoA looks better but thats me :lol

I loved that combo in Gokaiger, but this is meh.

I'm looking forward to the Super Megaforce version. I wish it had the rainbow design on the wings though.

this was my first Machine i got for Gokai oh due to the fact i got the gokai-oh magi dragon set for XMas

I have to admit,at first I didn't like this one.Taking a step back though,it does look like Magi Dragon is trying to come out of the Gokai-Oh.The wings could've been just a tad bit bigger,but everything else is ok.

The Magidragon by itself is cool, but MagiGokaioh is a little weird looking.

Meh, I'm actually liking the way the SM dragon combined form looks, regardless of the tiny dragon head, the feet for it look like they actually go over the feet of the megazord, instead of just sitting on them.

Honestly, I never really liked how Magi Dragon looked on Gokai-Oh.

This is kinda eh in my opinion due to its size.

Aside form the peg versus compartment issue between the BOA & BOJ versions They're roughly about the same. IN all honesty it's preference at that point. Though I don't think the BOA Dragon has the spring loaded gimmick so I'd tip it in favor of Magi Dragon.

I'll probably get the BOA version for zord builder possibilities, but this looks weird overall. Definately not the worst thing in the world.

sorry but the BOA combination is definately superior in this case IMO. this time the compartment gimmick hurts the toy.

I think this might be one that BOA actually does better. Well, that and the Lion too.

Great gallery! I love my Magidragon. I got him alongside Gokaioh, Gaolion and the Mobirates as an anniversary present and he was actually the first Sentai toy I ever played with, so I have lots of attachment to the little guy. Even after getting the amazing Magiking with its perfect Magidragon combo, I still play with the Gokaiger Magidragon a lot. I love the opening gimmick with him, it works really, really well with the wings and is just awesome.

Plus you can easily find him for about $10 plus shipping! Thats a ludicrusly awesome bargain!

The BOA definitely pulls off the look without the gimmick better then the horrible lion and is good for what it is, but the opening gimmick is what makes the toy for me, its what the design is based around. All the pieces popping out and unfokding together is just cool.

Wow...This figure is...Astonishingly underwhelming. I never liked Magi GokaiOh, but the toy just looks so dull...

It's a nifty idea, too bad it was forgotten about so quickly in the show.

I think Magidragon, moreso then the other Gokaiger toys, is something you have to hokd and play with to appreciate. The magic is in the gimmick, Magidragon really shows how cool the opening gimmick can be with the dragon springing out, the wings unfolding and the claws coming down all at once, which pictures and videos cant really show off well. He really is an awesome toy.

For all the cool stuff Gokaiger did, it sure did have some pretty naff looking mech designs.

Ok this was one of one of the best combos beside Gorren which I wish was an actual toy.

That Magi Dragon (the real one) looks shinier than all the pics I've seen. Is it a custom or a special version, and can we get a gallery of it. :eek: I've always, always wanted Magiking.

That's Magiking complete edition. Full color 100% show accurate release. Comes packed in a pretty white window box and even includes the Magiball for Magi Fairy to be put inside.

I want that special , shiny Magiking. I gotta get me one.

Now if only we had comparisons for the Gokaiger and Super Megaforce's Magi Dragon.

I'm kinda sad that the new one for the USA release is gonna have the weird claws on the sides. Here's hoping that this one still gets love :)

Do you suppose that's worth getting even if you already have the mold? (Mine is the Mystic Force Titan Megazord.)

I love the ranger's colors on the wings making the rainbow. It looks awesome, but this was probably my least favorite of all the auxs from Gokaiger.

Oh god yes. Magiking complete applies one of the best paint jobs to one of the best sentai robos out there. Totally recommended, I got mine for a steal at $100 two years ago. I believe they're worth more now.

They certainly are, if you can even find them. I'd pick them up in a heartbeat at $100.

This was my first Gokai add-on zord (I started buying after the show ended) But it was a fast favorite. The cheap zords always end up being my favorites.

I always liked this one even if the execution looks a bit silly. Magi Gokai-Oh reminds me of that one Whacky Racer who had the car with the dragon in the coop in top of it. It's a shame that SRC Magiking didn't come with Magi Dragon parts for SRC Gokai-oh
