DX Gojyujin Gallery
34 Attachment(s)
Crossing over time, the grand Power of 3 legendary sentai arrives! Today's gallery is of the mighty DX Gojyujin from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger!
The combined grand power of Mirai Sentai Timeranger (Gojyudrill), Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger (Gojyurex), & Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger (Gojyujin) this big bad dino is the personal machine of Gokai Silver! This figure is definitely the centerpiece of a Gokaiger collection. As a standalone toy it's excellent. Gojyudrill mode obviously doesn't do a great job of hiding the dino bits but I find it's wackiness very charming. Now whether intentional or not this figure is a great fit for the old Timeranger DX Providas Base. Considering the Timerangers built Gojyujin and it's literally housed at Providas Base in the future when not being used, this brings me pure joy to own both. The Drill modes' homage to Timeranger is more in spirit than anything as a time travelling mecha built by them. However this mode also references minor design cues of the V-Rex. The ranger key used to activate this mode was given to Gokai Silver by Time Fire. Gojyurex is also a fantastic mode. As an homage to Zyuranger it's clear this mode is meant to evoke feelings of Dragon Caesar. It definitely captures the feel and menacing look of Caesar in show. The toy is a bit more static, no surprise for a DX though. It's a bit limited by the sheer length of the tail but that doesn't stop it from being an impressive toy at all. The ranger key used to activate this mode was given to Gokai Silver by Dragon Ranger. Gojyujin is where it shines. As an homage to Abaranger this mode definitely comes off looking like a brother to Abarenoh. This is also where the built in gimmick comes into play. Rather than be electronic Gojyujin has gear driven weapons which spin to replicate it's drill attacks. By rotating either the drill or t-rex hands you wind up the gears, then there's a gold key on the back to turn. This releases the built up tension in the arms for spinning attacks that approximate the Gojyu Triple Drill Dream. The ranger key used to activate this mode and infact the Gokai Silver powers & Cellular were given to Silver by Abare Killer. While not the perfect combination this figure can also combine with Gokai Oh to form Gojyu Gokai Oh. As with the other major Gokai Oh combinations this mode requires a couple of pieces (the arms) be removed and left completely out of the mix. I'm all for big cluster combos but the simplicity of merely swapping arms works for me. And the colors of Gojyujin's arms mesh well with Gokai Oh. Plus now you can have fun with the Gokai Oh arms by slapping them on Gojyujin! This combination will be key at the end of the month when we look at DX Machalcon as well. The spin gimmick is also usable in drill mode, technically rex mode, and in Gojyu Gokai Oh mode. There's a button release on the drill arm that allows you to release the tension without turning the key on Gojyujin's back. Overall this is a really fun stand alone toy made all the more worth it by owning Gokai Oh. Gojyujin does an excellent job of recreating it's on screen appearances with few glaring compromises. A+ in my book. |
This is probably one of my favorite mecha ever. It's a dinosaur, ship/drill thing, and a robot all in one! Total win in my book.
He looks so funny with Joe and Doc's mech attached to him as arms :lol
Oh man, I never got this far in the show and never knew about this guy. He looks so cool! Dino and robot modes are awesome.
I noticed you wrote "Gojyudrill" when you probably meant "Gojyurex".
I do like this design. Like Abarenoh but less doofy and if they incorporated the mostly useless other Bakuryu. |

Definitely one of the cooler Megazords
Wow, this think looks awesome, I'd love to get it as a stand alone piece. however i hope the american version is just as good, I dare them to try and split this one up into multiple toys.
In my opinion, perhaps the best standalone Sixth Ranger robo (trying to decide if Kibaranger's Tiger is better or not). It was a big surprise for me.
One thing to note is that this guy has some sick articulation for a Sentai bot! http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/9...yujinmed12.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/7...yujinmed11.jpg http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/7...yujinmed10.jpg |
Such a great figure, i was so excited when i got mine.
I'd love to see how Bandai of America will work him into the Super Megaforce line.
TRIPLE DRILL DREAM!!! My favorite sixth with an awesome mech :lol
Awesome gallery Den-O! |
best (and so far only) Space pirate mecha-godzilla ever!
Pretty cool looking figure. The drill mode is the weakest though. Can't wait to see what BOA does.
Let's all hope that BOA does this beauty justice.
Awesome looking figure and a good homage to the Dragonzord and Trex bots kinda worried how this thing will turn out in Super Megaforce. The main zord didn't come out too badly so I'm kinda hoping this one doesn't either. Also I really hope they don't jam pegs all over it.
i love the colors on this guy, and the way the arms look on gokai-oh.
Never did like the blatant red helmet, but the rest of this bot is neat-o. Dinobot in Sentai form!

I can see BOA removing the side way joint in the legs and possibly eliminating a proper drill mode. The rex will likely be quite nice.
I always wanted this one, but never had the money to get it.
One of my favorite mechas from the past few sentai series. It had a simple combo with the main mecha that still worked.I hope that BoA does it justice.
Oh my gaw-! I had no idea his toy version was so beautiful! I'm a man who loves his dinos and his robots, so a robo dino hits the spot like finding ust the exact amount of change in your pocket for a soda from the vending machine on a hot ass day.
I'm anxious to see what Super Megaforce does with him. I'm not really all that positive about it, but who knows. It could end up being like the Claw Megazord and being really awesome. I am afraid we'll end up losing those knees somehow.
I just recently decided to complete my GOKAIGER mecha. This guy was actually my first gokai purchase last year! All I need now is furaimaru, however I'm waiting until next week when I see the gallery!
Such an amazing megazord. Hopefully he has all his articulation with the u.s. release. Hes my favorite 6th ranger zord.
I really can't wait to see him in the Zord Builder line.
Now let see you the us ver looks and if they will show the base in super mega force.
It's my favorite 6th ranger mech of the last few years. I love the idea of the three modes which correspond to a sentai. It even has a combination with the main mech. What is there not to love about it!
Such an awesome mech. I hope the US version is just as good.
Gotta agree, it's probably the best thing about Gokaiger mecha. Sweet Rex mode and a mighty fine robo too!
I think the minipla is possibly one of my favourite builds that I've done too, just looks awesome. Biggest complaint is that only his arms are involved in the final combo =\ |
You can never go wrong with a Dino mech.

I had a thought. My problem with Shinken GokaiOh is the arms; what do you get with the GoZyuJin arms and the Shiken legs?
'Cause I have to say, this guy is rad. He just looks really nice. |
I always felt Gojyurex gave off more of a Tyrranozaurus vibe over Dragon Ceasar, but i wasn't going to argue with Dragon Ranger. My absolute favorite of the Gokaiger mech, but I still need to buy one though. It is at the top of my list now that Kyoryuger is winding down.
I'm a fan of dino mechs no matter how silly they are, so this is pretty cool.
This one I do actually have and it is very fun.
I love the formations of this zord. Probably my 2nd favorite zord from the Gokaiger series.
Loved this guy in the show. Didn't like the just arm swap for the combination, but minor gripe compared to the mecha overall. Looking forward to the BOA version, since we will then be able to combine it with the Dragon zord coming out.
My favorite of the Gokaiger Mechs!
