Our final gallery from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger is here! The 5th and final Gokai Machine, DX Engine Machalcon!

Machalcon is of course a tribute to Engine Sentai Go-Onger. But it's much more special than that. In Go-Onger there were 12 main engines that made up the 4 central mecha. Machalcon isn't just an homage to them, but is the 13th Engine! As the son of Speedor & BeaRV he's inherited their fiery spirits and sentai legacy! As such the figure features the Go-Onger names on it's front tires and Super Sentai is emblazed on the rear tires. And as a proper Engine, Machalcon incorporates the Engine Soul gimmick. However he's unique in that he can take TWO Souls.

On either side of his vehicle mode there's a slot for an Engine Soul. The standard #13 soul to "awaken" Machalcon & trigger his growth in show, and another slot for the Kanzen Soul which allows for combination with Gokai Oh! But wait, the gimmicks don't stop there! Machalcon also features a cockpit which can accept Ranger Keys! Included with Machalcon is the Go-On Gold Ranger Key. However the sound effect it triggers in a DX Mobirate is actually that of the Go-On Wings Key, which is the key originally solicited to come with Machalcon. A very odd case indeed. But any Ranger Key at all can ride in Machalcon.

Where this beast truly shines is in combinations. Now much like Gao Lion before him, Machalcon features a very centaur like combo with Gokai Oh. "When pirate and Engine Souls become one,with an Engine's roar the hearty king is born, Go-On Gokai Oh!" This combo sees the upper torso and arms of Gokai Oh connected just behind the cockpit of Machalcon. Practically as a toy it may not look perfect because in show this thing was crazy mobile. But it's very imposing. To help replicate this forms ability to fly in show, all the tires are capable of folding down, though obviously it still sits on the ground as a toy.

And the biggest baddest combo of all. Kanzen Gokai Oh! This form requires all of Machalcon, but only the most basic piece of Gokai Oh (the hollow & helmetless torso) and Gojyujin (the arms) but the end result is magnificent. A truly beastly combination that looks just as impressive as it does in show. What really sets it off is the massive emblazoned chest crest and the magnificent sword helmet. As you can see it's big, chunky, and tall, and worth every bit of the price. Machalcon can be readily found in the 4000-6000 yen range and is very much worth it on it's own. The combination is icing on the cake.

Well, that's... interesting looking. The combination looks pretty cool. Reminds me of a Transformer.

That is an amazing final mecha, Its downright beautiful. Not a big fan of the sword head crest, I highly doubt its going to be as awesome when it gets turned into a zord, assuming it does get turned into a zord, no telling with BOA.

Kanzen GokaiOh: Because F1 racecars, Pirate ships and dinosaur's neck and tail totally scream "Ultimate Warrior of Ultimate Power!" :lolol

This is one of the more "cohesive" final combinations as of late.

i like that ranger key gimmick it's cute, hope the BOA one does it too.

Sets like this make me appreciate the simplicity of the Sentai mecha of old where at best you had one main robot composed of the 5 sentai members and the 6th mecha that can combine with it.

Man, oh man is Kanzen Gokai-oh beautiful. Easily the best looking combination. It's too bad I could never afford it, gorgeous though it may be. :cry

While not a big fan of the car type Sentai teams, I do like this toy.

So, the legs are dropped for this combo, now.
What's the justification?

That thing is massive! I like that the Ranger Key can sit inside.

As Den-O mentioned ol Engine 13 has a fair share of similarities with Gao Lion; though I think Machalcon's strongest mode as a toy is his default racer mode. I mean being able to use two gimmicks, two Engine Soul slots AND the hover mode? If I could buy this toy for a dollar I would do so in a flash.

Much like Gao Lion before him the "take the girl's mecha off and put it into the back" mode is his weakest mode. Just what was going on when this got green lit as a mode I'll never know.

The improperly named (YMMV on that) Kanzen Gokai-Oh looks really cool, but having to take off ALL of the Gokai machine baring Gokai Gallon and literally dearming Gokai Silver's mech feels like it's less "All powers become one!" and more "Parts forming for great justice!" Still K. Gokai-Oh is a great, if not outstanding final form and overall I give the final Gokai Machine a soft 4 out of 5.

As much as I love the gokaiger mechs, this one just is meh to me. I was hoping for a lot more. Hopefully the BOA version does something cool with it.

As much as like this final combination, I'm still sad that so many parts and mechs are left out. I think I'll wait to see how BOA handles it before deciding which one to get.

Definitely one of the better final mech formations in recent years. Plus he had some awesome attacks, like the missile fingers and his finishing blow being a good ol' straight super robot punch.

This is a vary epic final combo, but it is weird that Blue Green Yellow and Pink's mechs are not present in this though

Well unlike GaoLion it's not just the legs. :lol It's practically all limbs and the entire body sans arms of GoZyuJin.

Not to go too deep into sentient robot sexcapades,

but she is the middle part of the Engine Oh Sandwich......

This is my favourite Gokai machine.

Pretty cool looking design. The combination looks really nice. Helps that it adds more than the others.

It's quite unlikely they'll not take advantage of a final combination. :D It's an excuse to sell a really large vehicle!

Wow the fully combined form reminds me of my two parrots when they are in their singing phase.

This is going to be a fun mecha once it gets fitted with the zord builder system. :D

Machalcon looks amazing, I can hardly wait for the BOA version

I always thought its combined mode looked very weird... But its Final mode is much better for Kanzen Gokai-oh

Complete Gokaioh remains one of my favourite final combinations. He just looks super badass and dominant and doesn't look at all like a mishmash of parts like many other final combinations look. He'd be the one on my shelf if I didn't want to have loose Gokaioh and Gozyujin pieces.

Go-on Gokaioh remains stupid though. I don't think I've ever put mine in that configuration.

Do you mean for Complete Gokaioh? Because Machalcon becomes the legs. I don't mind, when you think about it, its just using the Gokai Galleon and only the Gokai Galleon, which is not a rare thing. Many Super Sentai mechas only use certain pieces of a combination wether it be Zyuranger (Goryujin) or Magiranger (Fire Kaiser) or almost the entirety of the Gaoranger combinations.

It'll be the Super Mega Ultrazord, probably. Gotta keep rehashing them names!

My second favorite next to Gao Lion.

Probably one of my favorite Gokai robos next to the Hurricane Gokai Oh.

This one had to grow on me as i was not a big fan of RPM or GO-Onger but when all 3 mecha Combine to Kanzen Gokai-oh i fell in love with the Zord. I can not wait till the super Megaforce Zord builder version to come out i am curious as to how it will be treated being as only one Disney era actor is returning to the show

I really like the ranger key driver gimmick. I wish more of the Gokai machines had worked in a way to make those little guys feel more like playable figures. I think machalcon does the best job fitting in with the mechs from his parent series as well.
