I'm watching this via "Meteorsubs." I know this because they put a five second title proclaiming their subs on the video, despite the subs being pretty poorly timed, and translated/structured.
That was ONE HELL OF AN INFO DUMP at the beginning. Though it kind of makes sense, I feel like Kouta and Micchy discussing events in such detail odd. Usually reviews like that are a bit less "let me tell you every single thing you already know." EDIT: Although the subber must have cut something off. There's no explanation for how Kurokage and Gridon escaped Yggdrassil after being carried away buy them. |
So I just realised now, we have all these "Kurokages" running around, and I remembered the battle scene. In it there were legions of Watermelon Arms, and they all appaeared to be pilotted by black-suited riders with silver leg details. Like Kurokage. Only problem is, they had silver thigh detail as well, meaning they were using the Baron base suit instead of the Gaim base Kurokage uses.

Subs are up.

It was really good, and I can't wait till next week. The tension between Kota and Mitchi raises and Takatora seems ready to go for blood. I really think Hase will try something despite to get back in to the game, but Hideyasu seems to be moving on to a new lackey.
|
Haven't seen the episode but I did see the previews for next week.
Gaim and Kaito join forces against Bravo and Zangetsu! Hase gets very upset that he can't henshin, and .... eats a fruit? TRANSFORMS IN TO A DRAGON!?!?! DEN-O MIGHT BE RIGHT! |
Just caught the subs and DAMN.
The birth of the new Sengoku Era is upon us here. Micchy and Kouta are entirely at odds as to how to use or not use the drivers. Shin Zangetsu is about to rampage across all the teams, Mai has finally encountered her other self and revealed a past connection to Kaitou. Perhaps the sacred forest they talked about IS Helheim? Maybe Yggdrasil spacialy distorted the forest and moved it into another dimension purposefully? Either way, if you watch the preview for episode 13 and see a certain big beastly dragon Inves, I think you'll agree I may have been right from the beginning ;) |

Caught the episode.
That. Was. Amazing. I'm worried about Hase. I liked his character ... and he's being abandoned by everyone ... Jonouchi, his team, everyone, because he no longer has power. WHY |
Man, I'm loving how this show is densely packed but not hard to follow. I really want Jonnouchi to be a mainstay the more I see of him. I think there's a lot to be had in his leeching attitude, and he definitely has potential for development.
|
Woah, things are getting tense. Kota and Micchy get in an intense argument. Baron finds he has more in common with Mai. Mai meets her counterpart, who reveals that she has a terrible fate as long as she stays involved in the invess game, Hase's been abandoned by all his friends, and Jonouchi is an apprentice under Oren now. Man...wonder how that'll turn out.
I also like how sinister the energy arms driver voice is. It's like it replaced the over the top enthusiasm of the regular driver with seething hatred. That scene revealing the chick who works in the smoothie store as an agent of Yggdrassil was hilarious too. I admit...I was legitimately surprised when she popped up in the seat behind them |
I was worried at first when the episode started summarizing the previous 11, but boy did things pick up fast.
Micchy continues to be my favorite character so far. That boy has a dark side and I can't wait to what happens when it comes out. It took me a minute, but then I remembered that Micchy is the only one who knows Takatora is the white rider. He's really playing both sides since he is hiding his identities from both his family and his friends. Kaito's history with the city gave a good background for his anti-hero character. That whole scene really brought up a good questions. Is Helheim and the ancient tree tied together? What is the ominous fate of Mai? I don't like that Hase is getting cast to the side because his driver broke. The previews did nothing to leave hope that he will be around for long either. Jonouchi is a bitch, but I didn't think he would go running to Bravo. I'm more surprised that Bravo "accepted" his offer, but I think he is still too infatuated with Zangetsu. As can be seen by his latest masterpiece. |
A Gridon and Bravo team-up could be very frightening. Bravo has no brains, but Gridon does ... they could become quite the force to be reckoned with. Though it looks like Ryugen is hanging up the towel for the immediate future.

Holy crap! Can this series get any better?! It might be 12 episodes in, and there are those that say you cant pick a favorite series this early in. Well I know I didnt like OOO or Den-O this early in. Those are both my favorite series but this is turnin into one big awesome series!
Jonouchi bein betrayed, Hasse becomin Orens bitch :lol, Micchy bein a hardass, and I am so relatin to Kouta wantin to the right thing but not sure what the hell to do, or bein held back by a friend even though I know whats right. Oh and Shin Zangestu YES! |
This was great, I love the tension between Kouta and Micchy, but they are both right. I hope Micchy acts more heroic and Kouta less crazy but I love them both and they are awesome. I lost all respect for Gridon from this episode and gained a lot of love for Hase after his loss and definitely feel he'll become Sigurd soon. Oren is so much fun in such a crazy way. Takatora's Shin Zangetsu form is badass, I can't wait to see the other energy Riders especially Duke because I love Ryouma right now.
|
I had to vote excellent.Only on episode 12 and the series is SOOOOO good. The story isn't hard to follow, this being their review show I appreciate that they reviewed the info and moved on.Also I saw the scene where Hase goes to eat the fruit in the preview.Maybe he doesn't and he becomes the mysterious energy rider whose identity we don't know yet.I think it's either him or Micchy
|
Which subs
Is it aesir and if so where can I find it
|
This episode was a lot of fun!
Kouta continues to be one of my favourite protagonists ever, I never much liked Micchy so I'm pleased that now the show wants us to hate him, and I'm intrigued to see where this show is going. It'd be pretty great if Gridon was the final boss. Also MAN that action, the fight with Gaim towards the end was epic and the test run with the Genesis Driver was a thing of beauty. |
Ahh this episode was pretty good. I liked of how the shop girl is spying on Kouta and Micchy. I like of how Gridon and Bravo are teaming up, I bet there will be tons of Zangetsu cakes, though since gaim uses banana arms and we think from the photo Bravo might die next episode. Ahh seeing the suits reminds me of how shiny they are and how the figuarts shall capture that as well as THE ENERGY RIDERS!!!!!!!!!! Shin Zangetsu looks pretty sweet, to bad Zangetsu didn't stay for long:( Though during this episode I thought maybe Sigurd could be Micchy.
|
Judging by the preview for next week I guess we can speculate where Hase will be heading...
I forgot who said it but the ribcage homage in Kurokage's lock seed makes sense now. |

Alright, so I saw the dragon in the preview... but what about it has some of you guys so excited??
So Micchy's turning dark fast and Hase's been abandoned. Glad to see we're still progressing at a nice pace. |

If you had told me a year ago that I'd love a show that focused on fruit and had soda power ups I'd laugh at you
|
Soda!
Fantastic episode, great way for the show to come back after an all too long break. Nice bit of recap at the start of the episode, it definitely had that "let's fill the audience in" vibe, but it moved along quick enough and didn't feel too forced. The tension between Kouta and Micchy, you can cut it with a knife. Definitely interested to see where this goes. Hasse losing everyone and everything because of his broken driver pushing him to the breaking point next episode. Can't wait to finally get the confirmation on the nature of the evolved invess. Jonouchi turning towards Orren, I love it. Always happy to see Bravo make an appearance. Couple great fights towards the end of the episode. LOVED the Genesis Driver (Genesis...biblical reference?), it just came off so sinister. Also didn't expect the arms to, well, be like the other arms. Given the design of the energy riders, it just didn't seem like the armor actually folded out from the fruit, but I guess they do afterall? Shin-Zangetsu is pretty damn badass, wonder what Orren is gonna think of him hahaha (probably be a bit bummed that he has to make new cakes of him). |
I liked it. It was clearly a bit of a set-up episode again, but still enjoyable. I'd hazard a guess that Micchy and Kouta are headed towards a big falling out in the near future.
I'm guessing that tree scene is easily the most important one this week, especially when Mai comes face-to-face with colored contacts Mai (or possibly future Mai... Mirai Mai?). I'm guessing that "priestess" talk is going to come back in some way. I'm digging the Zangetsu upgrade. He really tore the hell out of those poor Riotroopers... er, Kurokages. |

Man, this episode really makes you feel bad for Hase…and realize how much of a dick Junochi is.
And I kind of have to laugh at the irony of going to Oren on advice on how to be a man. :lol |
This show refuses to stop getting better, doesn't it. The promise of Gaim and Baron teaming up makes me think, though. Once the whole dance team thing inevitably disappears completely, I think Baron is going to become a straight hero.
They remind us here how much he hates Yggdrasil, so once he and Kouta have a common enemy, and no real reason to fight each other, I feel like he'll start to warm up a bit. Plus it fits with the whole Warring States shifting alliances thing. Of course then there's that bit at the start of the 1st episode, but I prefer not to try and reconcile that with my fan-theories for Gaim, because it makes my head hurt. Speaking of shifting alliances, Jounouchi is even more of a dick than I thought! How could he just abandon poor Hase-chan like that? Oh, and Gaim did another Rider Kick, woo! That's what, like, 3 or 4, counting the last Wizard episodes and probably a Kick or two in the movie? |
Wow, love this episode, it's so good to have Gaim back.
I'm impressed that Hase's story is still ongoing and that there's so much more to unveil. I can't wait to see how he'll be now that he's totally finished and let down by all his friends. Micchy and Kouta are rapidly travelling down divergent paths. It's going to get really interesting. I see a lot of Kureshima in Micchy. |
Correct me if I'm wrong but…didn't we see a giant tree in the Yggdrasail base last time around? Seemed to look an aweful lot like the Sacred Tree Kaito and Mai spoke of.
