Themes for future KR series 2015/2016/2017/2018
 

Anyone got any future ideas for another KR series?

ex.

In the super sentai, they had three dino series: Zyuranger, Abaranger & Kyoryuger. Why not a dino rider? With a touch of Hulk & Tarzan?

For Kiva, it wasn't a good series. But I wish it was tried again with a touch of devil may cry and darkstalkers.

ZX was a rider based on a ninja. Why not do it again ninja gaiden style but with Rurouni kenshin?

I'd like to see them try the Universal Monsters theme again. For something new, how about a pure science/technology theme? Like have a Physics based Rider, a Chemistry one, etc.

Isn't Kenshin a samurai? How is that closer to ninja style?

Anyway, would a Western theme better fit a Rider, being a lone cowboy sort of character?

Fourze was kind of a disappointment.

They should do a constellation theme again. Only this time... Ryuki/Saint Seiya style.


I thought that for Rurouni Kenshin. The ninja rider would have Kenshin's personality along with Ryu Hayabusa's style.

Well how about a mil tipple rider series except with four main riders?
So it's sorta confusing but could work. So there are two class of riders. One class is a low class where anyone can use it. So in the lower class these riders can be anyone. They fight to the death weekly and when one person wins they get points and after enough points they can go to the next class where they fight with others of their class to the death again and remain champions until they die. The powers of the lower class riders are given to the victor and he/she gives it to some other person. The upper classes drivers are given or found by another. The motif could be knights for the upper class, and foot solders of the lower class. They can use discs the lower class uses to henshin while the upper class has unique drivers that use the discs.

Fourze was fine. You still haven't given any examples or reasoning why it being darker would have made it better in your other topic.

Anyways, I remember thinking a while back that something like "Kamen Rider Fossil" would be really cool, could use different fossils as the collectible gimmick for different power ups or modes and forms.

I'd love to see a Rider series about Money. Generally Rider is more "grown up" than sentai is, so Rider should be more free to admit that money rules the world. It doesn't necessarily have to be pro capitalist if it doesn't want to be either, as the heroes greed can be resolved in the end.

I just remembered, a collectible gimmick I'd like to see one day are pins. I used to love collecting Disney pins and plenty of people still do, so I think it could work as a good gimmick for a Rider show.

I'd be interested in another supernatural themed Rider show. Maybe have it be to where the Rider is sort of like a hunter/exorcist and has to do battle with different supernatural creatures. Sort of like Angel, Blade, Buffy, etc.

Sort of I guess, but it was high fantasy with the whole medal alchemy stuff. I'm talking green pieces of paper, fast cars, beautiful women and shady bank accounts.

Actually no, tbh I only used this idea as an excuse to have riders named Blood and Bone.

I think I would like a return to an insect themed Rider. But because every series needs a gimmick, one that can become several insects. Grasshopper for agility, Ant for Strength, Bee for Flight, Spider for Awesome.

That's not a bad idea. Though how exactly would you make the insects the actual gimmick as far as transformation and what not?

Like Ryuki and DragRedder. He'd come with Armor that can also be taken off him and put together into the actual insect.

Well we already have a Kamen Rider Skull.

Well you see Fourze... Gentaro's talk of friendship seems childish and that it was too simple. What of there was like a second rider to replace Meteor for him to be the third rider. That was both Gentaro and the zodiarts rider would be the opposites: Friends (Gentaro) or enemies (zodiarts rider).

You heard about the refined swordsman, Kamen Rider Tea? Well wait until you see the savage Kamen Rider Green Tea.

And you know what I heard? The government has recently backed their own Rider, Kamen Rider Red Bull. I've even heard that guy has got wiings.

What if for a constellation rider, we can have three riders?

The constellation riders, both possess the power of four each of the 12 signs of the zodiac. Go Saint Seiya style.

Main rider - Gemini, Aries, Taurus & Cancer
2nd rider - Libra, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio
3rd rider - Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius & Pisces
Movie rider - Ophiuchus

Or...

What about a racer rider? Something to do with racing? With vehicles and the forms would be all types of racing.

How about both?

The key item the riders will/can use can be wheels or keys.

You're like a dog with a bone about Fourze. Perhaps writing a fanfic about HOW you feel about this will help you out.

I really wish I could find some way to fix Wizard, but other than dropping the two parters unless needed and making the Gates somewhat likable (Seriously screw them for being such pills) I'm struck.

How about weather?

Seeing as we're still dealing with the aftermath of the 2011 earthquake I doubt we'll see a weather Rider until 2040; tops.

Damn. I like elemental powers, and weather would kill two birds with one stone. Oh well...

Look, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and that is awesome but I don't believe opinions can't be wrong and I've never met anyone miss the point of something more. Japan was going through a (putting it lightly) really shitty time and they wanted to make a show to cheer up the sorrow filled masses, they wanted to give something back to the kids, to give them a hero to look up to and aspire to. I think that is fucking beautiful and I can't comprehend how anyone could hate on that.

Hate on Fourze's terrible pacing all you like, because it sucked, but saying it was "too simple" is just asinine to the highest degree. I'm sorry, but it is.

If they did a monster theme again like they did with Kiva, they should do something that involves myths & folklore... unlike the Phantoms in Wizard.

The main hero comes from a line of monster demon slayers that hunt down those of the night.

The main hero can be a hunter wielding the powers of a vampire while the 2nd rider wields the powers of a lycan/werewolf.

Think of them as like the Belmont clan.

Nope. Plants are a lot more interesting than just the fruits some bear.

I'd be down, but I never liked the "Demon hunter with demon blood" thing (Change demon with vampire, since it's just as common). I want the hunter to be a human.

Here's a zany idea.

A Kamen Rider series based on typography. One Rider based on letters, one based on numbers, one based on punctuation. All designed with stark, minimalist black and white armor.

Imagine all the form changes. 26 letters. 10 numbers. All that punctuation.

Do you think these 5 I categorized will work?

I think #1 and #4 are pretty awesome. The only think I'd change for those two would be #1 -- IMO, the collectible item should be fossils instead of discs.

#2 is probably too similar to Fourze for the time being, and Kiva used a lot of the references for #3.

I think #5 would need a bit more to set it apart from every other KR series. After all, KR is a like a live action MK, SF, TK, and DBZ already.

So I guess give the disks to the ninja rider.

What about an Indiana Jones-type rider?

Adventure rider
- Style of Indiana Jones, Uncharted, Tomb Raider & Huntik
- Key item: Amulets

#3? Really? Well too bad it was a disappointment. Not what I expected. Checkmate Four didn't do so well. It could've had five at least.

Can't anyone fix #3?

The main rider possesses the monsters of vampires, werewolves, merfolk & the undead (zombies, mummies & frankenstein).

The 2nd rider would posssess yokai monsters.

The female can possess monsters of the catwoman, siren & the succubus.

I thought Kiva was a cool show, but a lot more haphazard than other Kamen Rider series. And the ending was pretty disappointing. But they handled the timelines really well (yeah, I'm even a fan of the time travel).

But I am biased... I will always love a Rider who's forms are powered by a Vampire, a Frankenstein monster, a Wolfman, and a swamp Creature.


You bring up a cool angle, though. It would be cool to have a group of Riders, each one with forms that represent a different culture's traditional monsters.

There could be the American/Euro monsters (Vamps, Frankenstein monster, Werewolves, etc) Rider. Then riders based on monsters from China, Japan, India, Russia, Africa, Scandinavia, etc. I'd love that.


I'd also be into an "Adventurer"/Indiana Jones-style motif. But only so long as the main Rider had an Indiana-style fedora and whip. (I think we all know how cool KR Skull looked with a fedora.)
