I dont know, but do you not remember the one from SDCC,where it had a skirt? I just thought thats what we were gettin and suprised it doesnt.

Looks cool, haven't been gettin the MMPRTOYS/Zyuranger figuarts so very well will pass.

The SDCC one didn't have a skirt either.

I'd totally buy it if it had a skirt though! Could be Gokai Yellow so you'd have the full Gokaiger-turned-Zyuranger team! But as it is, they're a bit too similar to bother to get both versions and I prefer Zyuranger to MMPR.

I don't see what the problem is. There's original American footage with Trini or whoever the yellow ranger happens to be in the Tiger suit. I'm guessing this is a shout out to that since the people who watched MMPR but not Zyuranger (a.k.a a majority of Americans) know the yellow ranger as a female and don't expect her to have the same physique as the males.

Although, sure, give the purists a U.S. male-esque yellow ranger release.

Honestly, other than postage does it really work out that much more to buy the web exclusive version than from Bluefin?

I'm more in the market for the male version, but this is a great release for all the Power Rangers fans out there.

I am totally tempted by this figure. Trini Kwan was my favorite of the original Rangers, and this looks fantastic, but I am still in my "no more SHF toys" period. So I am torn!

Because Bluefin is not giving me the option to buy the one I want. If I want to buy it with ease, I have to buy the one Bluefin wants me to buy. As such, I have to go through Mandarake or something like a middle man to buy the one I want, which makes it cost more.

I'm super excited for this figure. But I'm pretty sure that I'll end up buying Tiger Ranger as a placeholder until this comes out and then around and sell Boi. I don't have patience and It will have taken a full year to finish this team.

This topic always brings up a crazy debate. It's our fan bases equivelent of democrats and republicans.

Blame Bandai Japan for making it exclusive then this figure's meant to cater to the US market where Yellow is female so she gets a female figure.

And to be frank you should be used to paying inflated prices for Japanese toys.

Are we sure it's just a torso replacement though? Because female rangers seem generally smaller than males, legs and arms included...

But I can understand where he's coming from. Normally I'd say the same thing since I order Web Exclusives all the time. Just get a middleman and get it. That's what I'm doing this time around. I want the male one so I'm ordering it. But it does suck a little bit that the US release is limited like this. If you want to get it domestically and don't want to have to bother with an international purchase and middleman fees, you can't get the one you want. You have to get the one they're making available.

People want a female yellow, go for it. But at least make the male body option available to domestic fans who don't want to fool with importing. Include an extra male torso in the box or something.

And let's clarify. The character of yellow under the suit is female in the US. A majority of the suit footage for the character is male, it has no feminine physique whatsoever. So honestly they should cater to fans who want either. Not just the smaller section.

I've already bought both the Japanese and the American versions of each of the Zyuranger/MMPR released so far myself, so I'll get both Yellow/Tiger Rangers.

Web exclusives strike again!

Actually 2 seasons worth of suit footage *Zyu2 and MMPR3 along with any American made S1 footage*so no it's the majority of MMPR's run that Yellow is portrayed as female.

That's where I'm coming from when I see this. I'm totally okay with Bandai and Bluefin going the extra mile and making a US-exclusive female body for the Tiger Ranger. That's awesome in and of itself.

It just sucks that they decided not to offer both versions in some way. I honestly wouldn't have minded paying extra to get a Yellow ranger release that came with the male body without a helmet. Or even offer the male body as an exclusive on their new site. It's a bit of a downer having to search online to import the last member of the team because I don't want the female version.

I do wish Bluefin would bring over the male version as well but I understand why they don't, most people they're aiming at will want a female Yellow and the relatively few that don't pretty much know how to get one through a middleman. I'm not sure which one I'll get yet as this one does look nice and will cost less but I like my show accuracy.

Just because I'm used to it does not mean I should have to. They should just make the male version a preorder only figure themselves. Or do limited quantities of him. NOT alienate those who don't want a female one!

Well I had to for the Shinkengers I wanted as I didn't like the metallic ones and as ZeoRangerV pointed out those who want a male figure are a minority who are already importing figures, most PR fans here know Yellow as a woman so they'll want a female figure.

And now I wait for a release date...

They said summer on their twitter earlier today. Usually they release stuff a month after Japan does, but since this is a different mold that may not be.
