Kamen Rider Gaim Refreshments
 

I'm a lover of food and drink of all kinds, and only recently have I started delving into the wide world of cocktails. I always figured, how could I appreciate a cocktail if I didn't like liquor to begin with?

So after making my journey through bourbons, rums, and of course my good friend tequilla I have recently decided to start my journey into cocktails. And what a journey it has been thus far.

Then I thought, wouldn't it be fun to design my own cocktails? But how? Where to get my ideas? Why not GAIM?

Below, you will find the fruits of my labor (pun delightfully intended.) Some of which are taste tested and Birdman approved, others are simply blueprints that I have sadly not yet been able to test proper.

Please enjoy responsibly, and if you decide you are brave enough, feel free to try out one of my prototypes and let me know how it is!


--TASTE TESTED, BIRDMAN APPROVED--

"GAIM"

• 1.25oz 1800 Resposado Tequilla
• 1oz Triple Sec
• 1oz Pineapple Juice
• 1oz Fresh Strawberries, Stem Removed

Combine in a blender and blend smooth. Serve in a glass rimmed with orange juice and salt, garnish with pineapple, orange, and strawberry slices.

"ZANGETSU"

• 2oz Dry Imported Gin
• 5oz Tonic Water
• 0.75-1oz Midori Melon Liquer

Stir to combine, serve in a highball glass with ice. Garnish with a melon ball.

--UNTESTED--

"RYUGEN"

• 6oz White Grape Juice
• 1.5oz Kiwi Infused Vodka

Stir to combine in a tumbler over crushed ice. Float three black seedless grapes in the glass as a garnish.

"BARON"

• 0.5oz Bannana Vodka
• 0.25oz Sweet Vermouth
• 1oz Fresh Mango

Combine in a blender, puree until smooth. Serve in a martini glass, garnish with Mango and Bannana.

"BRAVO"

• 1oz Grey Goose Vodka
• 0.75oz Cream Liquer
• 1oz Almond Milk
• 1 Dash Tiki or Mole Bitters

Stir to combine over ice, serve in a tumbler. Garnish with fresh grated Nutmeg and whipped cream.

"SIGUARD"

• 2oz Jim Beam Red Stag
• 0.75oz Sweet Vermouth
• 1/4tsp Jarred Maraschino Cherry Juice

Stir to combine. Serve in a tumbler with a single ice cube, garnish with Maraschino Cherry.

--VIRGIN COCKTAILS--

"GAIM"

• 1 Scoop Orange Sorbet
• 4oz Canned Crushed Pineapple with Juice
• 4oz Fresh Strawberries (stem removed)

Combine in a blender until smooth. Serve in a Milkshake Glass. Top with Whipped Cream and drizzled Strawberry Syrup.

I don't drink since I just don't like the taste of alcohol but this is a cool idea, can't wait to see your non-alcoholic drinks so I can give those a try.

I probably know the answer to this, but I'll ask anyway, why does Bravo lack durian?

It's more Oren than it is Bravo.

Durian is extremely rare to get a hold of due to its noxious odor. In fact, it's actually banned from customs in some countries.

However, my research has found that the closest description of durian flavor is cream and almonds. Thus, the cream liqeur and almond milk.

I can get some at my local market. Who wants some Bravo shots?! I'm drinking! I mean buying! :lol

I really wish i could get ahold of a durian around here. Ive always wanted to try one ever since i played super mario sunshine!

BARON"

0.5oz Bannana Vodka
0.25oz Sweet Vermouth
1oz Fresh Mango





Banana Vodka is nasty stuff, makes me sick just smelling it.
I DO love mango though.....

I see. The odor is perceived many different ways. I think it smells great. Lol. Taste can be hit or miss. Some people will hate the smell but like the taste.

I don't think cream and almonds is very accurate at all. For me, there is no substitute for Durian. It's one of the most unique flavors.

If you know of any kind of large Asian supermarket, you can usually find it there, but I realize there's not a whole ton of those around. Usually reserved for cities with a Chinatown.

Like I said, that was the best description I could find. Even they said it was reaching a bit, and I was mistaken in my original post, the cream was mostly for the texture not flavor.

Sadly, I myself live in an area where farmers markets and asian markets either don't stick around very long or aren't terribly good to begin with. I decided that this was the best solution to the problem and make the drink accessible to pretty much anyone who has a well stocked liquor store.

I guess you could just use Banana juice instead?

Of our Mods, the oldest I know the real age of is Sentai at 33, with Brainchild being the youngest, cause I'm the second youngest at 21 :3

I'm 25, before I found out about Sentai, you and others I swear I was the oldest on here. So many young people here lol.

I am the same age as Sentai. I also think my love for Riders/Rangers is diminishing quickly. The day I fear is drawing close: MnemonicSyntax has grown up!
